Just moved to Palo Alto. Googled donut places for a Sunday morning and came across good reviews. SUPER friendly staff. They even filled some of the donuts with vanilla cream because I mentioned my son likes them filled. I didn't have cash on me and they allowed me to Venmo. To top that all off the donuts were actually amazingly delicious. Soft. Fluffy. Go for the 'strong' coffee. The cinnamon twist was probably the best I've had and I'm not a huge cinnamon fan. This is a wonderful little mom-and-pop donut shop on the border of Redwood City and Menlo Park. Chung will greet you with a friendly smile and "hello!" as you come in, and you will leave with delicious donuts (including extras you didn't even order). They are also my Channukah jelly donut supplier - and they are willing to make them for me unfilled so that we can use a family recipe to fill them. I have gone here a couple times. Both times at 5 am in morning. Donuts were not fresh for that early. I am giving it a low rating because I walked in and the guy wanted 3 dollars and 30 cents for 2 stale sugar powdered donuts. I looked up the menu and they are 95 cents ea, which is a lot even still where you can get more fresh donuts elsewhere. Do not come here they will try to pull a fast one on you. read more

These guys have some of, if not, the BEST crumb cake donuts in the Bay Area. The crumb coating is dried out enough to give it a bit of a crunch, but the actual donut itself is always fresh and moist. I also like that they dress their crumb cake donuts up with a touch of cinnamon. Mmm... Their other donuts are great, too! They're donuts holes are addictingly pop-able (I know I've mindlessly eaten through a half dozen a time or two), and their other cake donuts are tasty, too. Friendly staff, great prices, and always fresh donuts. Anytime I'm near Donut Depot, I stop in, and you should too--you won't regret it! Every now and then, you just want a donut. Sometimes, I am sitting at my desk and can't resist the urge to go grab a dozen and share them in the office. These are ideal donuts. They are always fresh and the prices are decent. My favorites are the twisted glaze donuts, but they are all generally choice and you can't really go wrong with an assorted dozen. The staff is wonderful and always throws in extras with our order. Will definitely return when that feeling strikes again! read more

This place is FANTASTIC!! June runs this place like a champ. His donuts are great, the service is fantastic, the prices are cheap, and EVERY TIME he give my kids and I free donut holes and extra donuts with our order. June and his wife are very courteous and sincerely kind people. Survivors of the Khmer Rouge genocide, they have made a really wonderful donut shop. Beyond that, the french donuts (Vanilla especially) are, bar none, the best donut in RWC. I have decades of a terrible addiction to donuts, and I make knowing donuts my mission. Omg! Recently I've been craving for donuts n driving all over to get them. By far, this place has D best sugar donuts!! Nice n fluff donuts that doesn't feel too oily n lots sugar evenly coated! Love them. Tried the chocolate glazed donuts as well. My take is since the donut itself (ie d base) taste good, using better quality chocolate for d glaze would make this donut amazing too! It started with my grandma bring us, then my mom, and now I've been bringing my son. 4 generations! The owners are so sweet and caring. They love and respect their customers. It's so family like when I come here. They always ask about my siblings, my parents, etc. The donuts are so delicious!! They are soft and airy but dense if that makes sense. Not no crispy kreme bullshit. They've maintained the same texture and taste of their donuts for years. Their prices are super fair and probably could be charging more, but again they care about the customers. They also make their bagels from scratch and man are they bomb!! They also have breakfast sandwiches, which my brother in law always orders! The blueberry muffin . They have been serving the community for years and I'm so glad! For me it's worth the drive from East Palo Alto! No other donut shop has compared to my favorite place! read more
