The brown sugar cookie milk tea and Thai milk tea tasted great, but the boba itself was hard and chewy. The mochi donuts however were delicious!

Conveniently located near the Caltrain station, so you can get a sweet tea fix while waiting for your train. A decent amount of outdoor seating that you can enjoy, if you train won't be there for a bit. While the draw are the drinks, the doughnuts are quite delicious and tempting. The Signature Milk Tea: Loved the pageantry of "stir fried boba" and brûléed sugar on top. I don't think it influences the flavor much, but it was sure fun to watch. Lots of brown sugar syrup on the side gave it a great flavor. Mango Fruit Tea w/ Passionfruit Boba: A ton of mango bits! Like seriously, almost like drinking a fruit salad which I'm all about. The popping passionfruit exploded with a nice tangy juice. However, there was so much real fruit going on here, it seemed a bit extra. Taro Latte: One of the few caffeine-free options, so a good choice if the day is getting late but you still want a fix. Taro plus milk makes a such a creamy treat! Strawberry Mochi Doughnut: Loved the fresh strawberry glaze. The chewy balls of mochi in the doughnut ring were nice too. Perfect if you want more sugar with your sugary drink.

Can you believe this is my 1st Bober Tea experience? This also wasn't my last as I went to the Sunnyvale location a few days later lol. Bober Tea has over the top decor with lots of pink candy hearts, flowers, mochi decor and so much more. I love it! I was taking pictures with almost every background. I felt like a kid in a boba shop. Oh, I was in a boba shop, I totally forgot. Ordering is easy with the kiosk and you can take your time selecting your toppings, cups and anything else. I ordered the strawberry smoothie with the cheese topping in a special cup. The cup was cute and it is reusable as well. Strawberry smoothie is standard and is a bit on the sweeter side but mixing the cheese foam in, helped knock it down. I would come back to try the other drinks in the area but there are closer locations of Bober Tea near me in Sunnyvale and Campbell now. If you want super Instagram photos, Sunnyvale location takes the cup!

    Mung Bean Pandan Latte

I went a few weeks back around the time they recently opened to try the mung bean pandan latte, mostly because this was such an unique sounding drink. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the drink as I could taste both the mung bean and pandan flavor. What I didn't like was the grainy texture of the drink...probably as a result of the mung bean unfortunately and I wish it could have been a smoother drink. I also was not a fan of how sweet the drink was without any option to adjust for sweetness and also the loads of ice that was in the drink without any option to adjust for ice level. I took out a good chunk of the ice which left seriously half the cup worth of drink and let the residual ice dilute the sweetness. Boba was solid, wish there was more. Mochi donuts were average, good flavor but not as chewy or mochi-esque as other places. May return and give it another shot if you can adjust sweetness and ice level.

Tomo Tea House is such a gem! The Dubai Strawberries and the Dubai Waffle are absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The service is just as impressive; everyone is so friendly and kind, which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to and recommending to friends!

I'm only here for the mochi donuts for an afternoon pick me up. They do run sweet, so be mindful of that. They're just cute and comes in so many flavors.

We came by around 5pm on Saturday, and there were only 2 mochi donuts left ;(( Banana toffee mochi donut - Actually so delicious! Mochi donut itself was really fluffy and soft and the flavor tasted so good. It was actually pretty big too, very comparable to Mochill quality. Drinks: 5/5 Roasted oolong MT Thai tea MT Hazelnut MT Would recommend 75% sweetness because 100% was way too sweet. I can guarantee actual tea is not being used for the drinks-- definitely powder drinks. However!! All 3 drinks were really creamy and tasted very good.

Banana Matcha & Black Sesame Matcha

My mom and I were looking for a boba spot while we were on our way back to SJ and saw this place and decided to try it out. The place itself is very pink and cute, perfect for aesthetic pictures but the drinks itself was very disappointing. I had got the banana matcha which claims is "house made" but after trying it I could definitely tell the banana was super artificial and I just did not like it at all. As for the black sesame matcha, my mom as well said it wasn't very good. After taking like two sips, we left and honestly threw out both drinks in the garbage. Our drinks were a waste of $16, we could've gotten better matcha at Starbucks :/ the place is nice for pictures though

Stopped by hoping to try the 10 yen coin. It must have been a limited time offer as they no longer have it on the menu. Bought a mochi donut instead. Got the strawberry garden. Beautiful mochi donut with sugar butterflies on top. The mochi donut base was great, chewy soft interior texture with a slight bite to the exterior. However, the frosting tasted similar to a very mild version of strawberry pocky. I will probably try again if in the area for another flavor or if they bring back the 10 yen coin. Very instagrammable spot. Beautiful inside and outside. Just keep your expectations to that.

Nice and friendly staff! Got the last mochi donut. Come before 4PM on weekends if you want to have flavor options. Best mochi donut in the area. Stir-fry boba is great texture but on the sweet side. They have crystal boba as well if you don't want sweet. Great instagram photo spots inside and outside the store!

Newish boba place in downtown Palo Alto. The decor is very instagrammable but not exactly cozy or welcoming. Outdoor seating is plentiful, indoor just has a leaning bar meant as a waiting area. Ordering is done at a kiosk with minimal interaction with the cashier/barista. I got the oolong milk tea with boba added - base prices are quite high here as has become usual in the bay (~$6) so my total came out to about $7. I didn't see an option for ice either, so I did get quite a fair amount of ice in my drink. The boba was good but the tea was fairly lacking - weak tea flavor and a very strong taste from the creamer they used since that was the only other flavor in the drink. Overall not really worth the price/better options are out there at this price point.

Bober now open in Palo Alto!

Tomo Tea rocks! Ordered the mango sago and banana macha. Drinks were delicious and not overly sweet. Definitely coming back to try more drinks and food.

Cute cafe on University Ave…read more We always go there when we visit Palo Alto. Their hot chocolate is really good. We get the Cioccolata in Tazza. It is thick and creamy (see video). Also, it is just perfectly sweet, not overwhelmingly so. We also tried their flourless almond cake - it was quite dry, brittle and tasted like toasted and ground almonds. Will return for the hot chocolate and pass the cake! There is no option for to-go (for drinks) and you pick your food at the billing desk itself. They serve with a smile.

Everything else about Cafe Venecia is a problem, and it has been a problem every time I've gone, including today. The outside tables are never cleared. Crumbs, coffee rings, somebody's abandoned napkin. No one comes out. Ask an employee about it and they'll point you toward a rag you're welcome to fetch and use yourself. That's the arrangement here -- you buy the coffee, you bus the table, you wipe it down, and the staff watches you do it. Today I asked for a bowl of water for my dog. The answer was no. Not "we're slammed, give me a minute," just no. So I asked whether they could put a little water in a to-go container instead, and was told, "Well, I can't give you a to-go container because we don't do them." Sit with that one. They don't do to-go containers, which means everything in the place comes in real dishware, which means the building is full of cups and bowls. They had exactly what I was asking for. They simply weren't going to hand one over, and they made sure I understood that by the tone. So: a café on University Avenue, with sidewalk seating, in a town where half the foot traffic is people walking dogs, has decided that tap water is outside its operating capabilities, and table cleaning is outside its operating capabilities, while charging Palo Alto prices is somehow well within them. There are a dozen places within three blocks that manage the coffee and the manners at the same time. Go to one of those. One star, and the star is for the beans.
