With regular donut offerings that you see everywhere, they offer some specialty donuts like red velvet, blueberry glaze, and their version of the cronut! Excellent Cronuts! They have excellent taste to them. They also have ready made breakfast sandwiches with croissant, egg and choice of meat. Since these are almost twice the size of the ones at fast food places (and I'm sure better too), there's always a steady stream of people there in morning. They also have Thriftys ice cream (though not too many flavors) and lottery tickets. Seems to be a lucky place. They have one of those "millionaire made here" signs. read more

I like stopping by donut island for a few reasons. 1. They are a family business 2. They have good service, there are a few other donut shops in Long Beach that do NOT have good service. 3. The team takes time to learn customer's names. 4. If you know what you want to order which may take a little time to make, they let you order over the phone before you arrive. I order a bagel sand, which has always been warm when I pick it up. They sell donuts and good service, which keeps me coming back. read more

This place has really unique and fresh donuts, not to mention a huge sandwich menu to choose from. And the smoothies are to die for! Can't drink regular milk? No problem, they can make their smoothies and coffee/frapps with soy milk or almond milk! Not a meat eater, no problem! They can custom make you a veggie sandwich. I told the lady there it was my first time and that I was just getting a couple of jelly donuts for a friend at work. When I got to work and opened my bag there were 2 jelly donuts with 2 glazed donuts, awesome! Now all they have to make is crumbled bacon on maple bars and I'm in love! I've been to this place a few times, and have not been disappointed. Their donuts are soft and fresh. The croissants are also really good. I've also tried a couple of the cold coffee drinks, which were yummy. The parking lot is a little small, and this place is steadily bustling, so that can be a small annoyance. The staff is friendly though, and service is quick. I have liked everything that I've ordered here, but the BF said the jelly donut was just a tad too sweet. Donut Island is a great place to hang out. I use my lab top there and they have FREE WiFi. Fast connection too. I bought a cup of Iced Mocha and it was really good. I also ate their ham egg cheese and bacons croissant it was surely good. Their breakfirst croissant cost only $3.25 and they have lean cut hams and they put two slices of ham and two strips of bacons. I thought all donutshops were the same. Serving same old coffee just like the rest of the donutshop in Long Beach. Donut Island by far have a lot of selections of coffee and Toroni flavor syrups. They can make any hot or cold drinks. Stopped by this morning for some donuts and lottery tickets. The place is a little dimly lit, but the staff were friendly and helpful. They had all kinds of donuts. Mostly popular ones that you can get at any other store. They also tasted better than average. I think they are made fresh every morning.
