We got a glazed cinnamon bun, chocolate old-fashioned, and an apple fritter. When I got home, I was surprised that she had given us an extra crumb cake donut! What a great surprise! The donuts were decent and fit the craving. I wish the apple fritter was a bit crispier, but it had lots of apple chunks in it and was tasty. I bought from here this morning hoping for a good breakfast with my family, trying to relieve some stress and tension by getting a nice FRESH batch of donuts. Well I can tell you that the batch of donuts were NOT fresh!! I was so disappointed, I ordered a custard filled donut; hoping for something delicious. What was supposed to be fresh wasn't!! My donut was given to me with moldy spots on it. I had about a third of the donut, just to find out it's moldy. No wonder it didn't even taste good! Not only that, but they forgot my donut holes! If you like softer, gooier apple fritters, this would be right for you. It's not overtly fried so it doesn't leave you feeling heavy and there is a decent amount of apple in it. It's a good size (about the size of my hand) for the price ($2.25). Went through the drive through and the service was prompt and friendly. I will be back to try more. read more

On December 30th 2023 at 5:23pm my husband and I stopped for donuts. We were at the King Donut on Western and Marine. There was only two cars in the drive thru but it was taking so, so long. I asked the couple in the car at the window if they had been served. They stated yes but also said they have been waiting awhile just for two smoothies. We finally made it to the window to place our order and one of the young ladies told me and I quote " I'm not to speak to anyone. Also , she would not be serving me". Now, remember I had not said one word to her or anyone else in the shop. I'm retired and very calm so my first thought was she on drugs? With money in your pocket and a new car full of gas and living in the USA I don't have to beg anyone to take my money and provide bad customer service . This place has been here for as long as I can remember! Definitely one of the best donut shops in Gardena. My favorites: ICED COFFEE. If you don't like sweet coffee, this is not for you. Ham & cheese croissant sandwich Buttermilk donut, Donut holes, root beer float, iced green tea, icecream (too many flavors to name) their scoops are very generous and very cheap! Cash only! They do have an ATM but I'd rather carry cash with me. Sometimes the employees can be rude or don't understand what you're saying which sucks. A lot of people think that Randy's is the only big donut in the sky left in L.A. Nope... There is Donut King 2 and, in fact, a couple of others. Whereas Randy's is right off of the 405 and featured in tons of photographs and music videos, Donut King 2 is a bit more obscure -- hidden in Gardena. The main thing about Donut King 2, compared to Randy's, is that they have a much bigger variety of food. Sure, they have donuts, but they also have sandwiches -- which are actually surprisingly good. Like most donut shops, you don't want to go here if you are a health food addict. But, if you want a pretty good donut or a sandwich, check this place out. The donuts were dry af!!!!! We went around 11pm and I ordered 3 different donuts, 2 scoops of 2 different ice creams, a shake and a bottle of chocolate. Everything but the donuts were good which sucks because it's a DONUT spot!!! I bought a chocolate old fashioned a maple bar and a jelly doughnut earlier in the day the maple bar was fine but the chocolate old fashioned had a minty taste to it. So I decided to take it back. As a frequent patron, aside from the donuts, I must recommend the sandwiches: $4.50 for a hefty sandwich, bag of chips and choice of canned beverage. This place has been there quite a long time.. The bear claw is average size with 5 fingers. Many places have slightly bigger fingers and some places only have 3 or 4.
