Great fresh light donuts !

This was my first time here and let me say it won't be my last. The donuts were perfection!! May I go so far as to say exceptional. Fresh, with a really good taste that was complimented by the frosting. I couldn't stop at just one. Whenever I am in the area and thankfully not that often, I will be making a stop at Donut King 2 to fill my donut cravings. read more

Came here one afternoon on the way to a customers and decided to stop and get a quick snack. For some reason I love apple fritter so decided to get it here. It was a pure drive thru, 2 lanes on the side and a counter in the middle for walkby orders. The apple fritter was good. Nice and crispy, some places have a kind of chewy middle where there is some more apple+dough kind of center, but this is just straight up crunchy. It was more to my liking but the thing is I need to come back and try other donuts before I can rate this higher. Overall this place is a 3.5 and can easily be a 4 if their other donuts were as good as the apple fritter i got. read more

Their donuts can be inconsistent at times but very good when done right. It seems most of the time I can depend on their consistency and quality but I've had their dough semi raw in texture, wasn't bad but not what I expected. The area can be rough late at night. I made the mistake of getting out of the car and ordering at the window (strangers come to you asking you to buy stuff for them). Interesting but I could do without it. If you use the drive through window it's not a problem. But note, there's this small side walk between you and the window, if you're not careful you can scrape your rims. Friendly young folks (are you like 15?) working there but they seem to know what their doing, definitely reminds you of older mom and pop places that was abundant years ago. read more

Their sandwiches are DELISH ! Better than Subway :) it's only $4.50 (no tax) for a sandwich, soda, and chips!! They have pastrami, tuna, roast beef, vegetarian, and a couple more. I usually buy donuts when I go to the office but go to the same place. I wanted to try some place new and remembered this place. I parked in the back walked up to the window. I got a dozen of the regular donuts. They had some croissant donuts which were different the ones I had at other places. Theirs were shaped like regular croissants. I added a couple of them as well. I've never had a stale doughnut from this place. Granted, I'm not going there daily for doughnuts, but I've had my share over the past five years, and their goods always taste fresh. I haven't tried anything else here other than the doughnuts, so I can't comment on the other stuff they sell here. Just watch your back. The area seems rather sketchy. I love how cheap the sandwiches are, especially when it comes to getting a combo meal. We got a pastrami sandwich with chips and a can of soda for about $5. We also were able to buy the big scratcher sheet, which we ended up winning $50 from. The one who assisted us seemed a bit impatient the way she came off, but got our order out real quick. We ended up eating at home and the sandwich was pretty good for the price we got and I can't wait to try the other stuff their venue has to offer. read more

Found the place while diving to work. Has the best hm and cheese croissant with jalapeños. Wish they had their lemon bar as they say on the window. Looks like every time I'm there they never have them whether it's in the morning or at night. That's why I'm giving 4 stars other than that pretty good doughnuts.. and fast service! read more

This donut shop saves my life. For some reason, I'm always in a rush to get ready for school every morning (maybe it's because i press the snooze button about 4-5 times before i actually get up), and sometimes i completely forget to eat breakfast or even grab a snack in the kitchen to shove in my mouth before i leave the house. On these lovely mornings, a quick drive to the Donut King 2 is the place to go. Their service is super speedy and their donuts are ALWAYS fresh. My favorite thing to order is the dozen donut holes.They're easy to eat because i can just pop 'em in my mouth and the bread is light and airy. Sometimes, I even get one or two extra if i'm lucky. Gardena icon! While not as famous as the gigantor Randy's Donuts monster-donut-on-the-roof on Manchester by LAX, this monster-donut-on-the-roof location is surely one of the most famous local landmarks in the Gardena/Torrance/South Bay area. While it borders on some pretty sketch neighborhoods, it's generally not too bad even later in the evening (i.e. after a socialization and beverage "session" at Donna's across the street lol!) Definitely 24 hour convenient! Also very cool since it has drive up windows, and there's rarely a line of any significance. The workers are usually in a decent mood, and love to see their regulars. Not much else in the adjacent area though, so this is normally a stop for donuts and hit the road type of spot. Good croissants and sandwiches as well, so don't think this is some kind of one trick pony donut stand! Just south of here is where the interesting Gardena and Torrance food joints start. Don't go too much further north on Western though! Just some friendly advice to keep you safe ;) read more

Normally I will not patronize an establishment that serves food with a "B" rating from the health department. For reasons I really can't justify, I continued to frequent this donut shop. I guess because it is so close to my daughter's school, my wife and I found it convenient to get a coffee and a crumb cake from time to time. This morning we decided to do the same after dropping off our daughter and before going to the park to walk. As usual, I asked the young woman at the window for a decaf for my wife and a crumb cake for me. I handed her a $10 and waited for the changes. There were a number of cars behind me so I pulled in front of the store and looked at my change. To my surprised, I had only $2.95. I got out of the car and went to the window and told the young lady that I gave her a $10 but she only gave me less than $3 back. She right off the bat became defensive and insisted that she was not trying to cheat me. The older woman insisted also that I only gave them $5. I told them a number of times that I had only a $10 in my wallet and gave that to her for the coffee and donut. None of my assurance matter to either of them and I had to drop it and left quite frustrated. $7.05 for a weak coffee and stale donut. Yes, the donut was stale (that early in the morning). It is not good business to deal with return customers in that way. I was already wondering why I would stop now and then at a donut shop with a "B" rating. Now, I have no intention of ever returning because it was more important for them to not error on the side of the customer for $5. For those of you that are not aware. A "B" rating from the health department is not just one point less than best. A B C, ratings are like earth quakes. Each letter makes a big difference. A B rating can be anything from a dirty mop of roaches, rats, hair and other bugs in food to who knows. If you see a C rating, be scared and keep going! In a way, I am glad this happened. I have never entered an establishment with a "B" rating and shouldn't have ever bought anything from this Kings 2 Donut. Now, I never will again for sure. $7 didn't break the bank but I don't know any wise person not mind being ripped off for any amount of money. read more

I'm an apple fritter girl and their fritter is not as delish as Randy's. However, their croissants are delish and their prices are very reasonable as well. So we will return. My go to donut place! They are open 24 hrs! They have fresh donuts everytime I go here. A must try is their croissant donuts, their old fashioned, and their donut holes. They also have really good sandwiches! Oh and don't forget to try the rocky road milk shake!! read more

I would give them negative stars if I could! How are they still open? First the woman there was rude then they got the order wrong which I just took as is. I get home and after a few bites the bacon fell out and this is what I found. Black mold throughout the bacon and it was brown and just looked super old. TERRIBLE! I was out craving donuts and ice cream , and I of course pulled this place up on yelp . I wish I hadn't . I was waiting because the lady was doing who knows what in the back . Donuts are my happy food. Thus, this place is my happy place. The area's kind of shady but there's two lanes for drive-thru, which doesn't take longer than five minutes to get taken care of so you won't be there long. Donuts are cheap; if you get a sandwich, it's the best deal ever (sandwich + soda + chips for $4.50) even if the sandwich isn't the best tasting one. I usually grab a couple of donuts here while I get my sandwich, and the owners usually throw in a couple of free donuts if I order more than 3-4 so you're definitely getting more than your moneys' worth if you buy here! I especially like the maple bar and the donut holes. I think it's $1.25 for a dozen donut holes or something to that effect. The owners are really nice but not very talkative, so don't hold that against them. Overall, good place. I like the donuts (especially the free ones) and the sandwich deal! The employees here are very rude, I wouldn't suggest coming here. I ordered something simple - two donuts and a water and the man helping me couldn't even manage to be cordial.
