First of all this place is ran by the most benevolent family. These are very nice people with positive energy, however, I saw flies roaming on their food(sweet loaf) around 2 pm. They had the flies loitering around their food. I ordered a plain sandwich and it was pretty good. They can make a good sandwich but I would not ever come here again after seeing flies landing on their food. They always keep the door open and that's not a good thing when you keep your food uncovered. As I said earlier, this is a very nice family who have good positive energy and they probably mean well, however, you can not be nonchalant about flies on food that you sell to your customers. By doing so, you are violating the public's health and violating many codes. It upsets me because they would've sold that (sweet cake loaf) to the next person coming in who didn't see the insects. This place is unacceptable for clean freaks, but if you value customer service over health violations, this is the place to go. BTW, this place is across the street from Jay Bee's BBQ, which is a well-ran establishment. #NOFLIESALLOWED

Probably one of the best croissants I've ever had. The thickness of the meat and the arrangement are quite artistic and scrumptious. Also the texture of the croissant is a bit different compared to other croissants, it's perfectly baked and you can tell the dough is very high quality. Not to mention that the shop itself is licensed to sell the beer, I'm sure y'all won't find any donut shop that sells the beer like this kind. Best donut shop ever. I recommend everyone to check it out !!!

Oh Donut King II, where have you been all my life? All this time I've been going to Rainbow donuts…read more only to find a very limited selection most of the time. After an Angels game, we decided to try someplace different since we didn't want to pay about $23 for a bucket of chocolate chip cookies at the Stadium. I was looking on Yelp and realized I'd never tried Donut King. So what the heck. My wife and I drove over there and even though you can't see the selection inside, when we asked the clerk about what donuts were available, the selection was amazing On top of that, the donuts were delicious. Much fresher than what we've been getting at Rainbow. We've decided the Donut King is going to be our donut place of choice from this day forward. I'm so glad we decided to branch out and try something new. I recommend DONUT King to anybody in the area. The clerk working the night shift was really helpful and pleasant. He even added a couple of freebies since they had run out of one of our choices. It's probably because it was late and a bit slow but he didn't have to do that and he just made a new return customer so props to him. Prices are very reasonable anyway. No gouging here. The area is a little dark and quiet after 9pm so you'd probably be better off doing the drive thru than standing at the window. It seemed like there was adequate parking in back if you're there during the day. We can hardly wait to return and try some different donut than what we ordered that night. Definitely an independent shop that deserves support from the community.

Tried their coconut rose milk tea and it was too sweet. Do not recommend without making adjustments…read more(if possible). Very small parking lot and is also a drive thru.

Review #986 2026-056…read more Food Order: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95 Another one bites the dust... bada dum dum dum... During my freebies birthday run yesterday, I was planning on going to Old Ferry Donut after picking up a boba next door, only to find the shop closed. \(`0´)/ Known for unique flavors & vibrant retro-pop 70s branding (cute hamster mascot with bold orange & brilliant blue colors; it's featured on 2-/4-donut boxes), this Korean-inspired premium donut shop originated in Seoul a decade ago before expanding to several S. CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. After asking what's their most popular picks, I chose Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée, & added Lemon Poppyseed & Raspberry Ring for myself, Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream for the kiddos. Service was alright... I didn't need a sales pitch, but would like some info on the donuts to make an informed decision since they're at a premium price even though they're not "freshly made" (every hour or less) like SD&C just down the street. The Butter Pistachio is a major hit... fluffy & light, a slightly chewy yeasty donut stuffed with a mildly sweet whipped pistachio cream filling & topped with a salty-sweet buttery streusel... how can you not be addicted? And totally worth it! Crème Brûlée is also popular for its delicate, crackly caramelized sugar crust & airy brioche dough that's filled with a rich vanilla custard. Good flavor, but maybe on the older side? Since it's been sitting for awhile, it lost that fresh fluffy texture & was kinda dry. I really liked the Lemon Poppyseed; it's right up there with Butter Pistachio. The lemon glaze is just the right amount of sweet & tart, & the donut was fresh & fluffy! The Raspberry Ring is pretty good, matching that sweet & tart of Lemon Poppyseed, but I like the citrus zing of the latter more. What's different is the former has a raspberry jam filling in addition to a glaze & the latter is just a yeast donut with fruity glaze. Kids didn't say much about Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream... I figure you can't go wrong with these flavors. The filling might have been a bit much as I saw the cream oozing out of the donut & onto my LO's face & shirt. His sister was slightly better at containing the custard blob. LOL With premium prices, It's debatable if Old Ferry's donuts are worth it... quality, freshness, & size. Hmmm... I like them & their creative flavors, but they're a tad too sweet & not as "fresh" in comparison to SD&C. Sad to see Old Ferry Donut permanently gone from the South Bay, but they still have locations in San Gabriel & Buena Park if you're willing to take a drive. Recommended: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95

Old Ferry Donut = quick carb win…read more Parking: Easy in the plaza. Vibe: Cute, playful, and totally Instagram-ready--donut display, merch wall, stickered mirrors. Order: Classic glazed--light, not too sweet, filling. Service: Sweet and efficient. Good for: Grab-and-go (seating mostly empty). Why it's trending: Fun branding + community energy = viral charm. Bottom line: Perfect stop if you're nearby and need a donut with personality.

Donuts were delicious! The happy hour was delightful- ordered a vanilla matcha as our free drink…read moreand it did not disappoint. Creamy, milky, and a perfect balance of sweetness that coats the tongue. Favorite donuts for today's visit include butter and salt and blueberry cheesecake. Butter and salt- balanced, salty sweet goodness, and an outer crunch shell leading to pure fluff. Blueberry cheesecake- soft, vibrant, with a juicy surprise in the middle. Highly recommend if in need of an elevated office surprise or sweet treat.

Sidecar might change your mind about cake donuts…read more I'm usually a raised-donut person, but these are different. Fresh, they eat more like a pastry--super moist, rich without being heavy, and none of that dry crumble. Chocolate (Valrhona) is the one--deep, smooth, perfectly tender. The vegan strawberry matcha is a sleeper hit--the strawberry glaze smells like a field of ripe berries and actually makes you pause before the first bite, with the matcha keeping it grounded. They only had two raised that day, but both delivered. Vanilla was soft and airy, and the huckleberry had that bright tart-sweet glaze with zero fake flavor. Only note: don't over-order. Next day = noticeably more crumbly. Go, pick a few, eat them fresh. Clean plate club.
