    How cute is this?!

Went again! LOL. If I lived closer, this would be a daily stop. Fresh donuts for you daily! If you are visiting, grab a box or two before you leave Hawaii! Awesome staff and what's not to love about this store? You have to look 360° and don't forget to look at the exit sign! Supercute paintings throughout. Grab a shirt or sticker as well!

Love coming to this place after having my poke bowl from Foodland. The staff is always so nice. When we bring our group of friends and dogs, they will always come outside to give us plain donuts for the dogs. I am typically not a fan of cake-like donuts, but these are really good. I like any of their donuts that have the lemon glaze on it (Unicorn butt sneeze is so good)! They are always made fresh and I suggest eating it right when you get them.

Super glad to have the chance to visit Purve on National Donut Day! Picked up a Hulk Smash, the free Chai donut, and an iced tea. Oh yum! And- I breezed through the line, and the donuts were delivered to me while I was putting the straw in my cup! Thank you so much!! Sorry, devoured everything without taking a pic! Because they were warm and fresh, after all! And gosh, the line was definitely out the door as I was leaving;) Great vibe, bright lighting. Had to teach a first timer the ropes, he couldn't decide, didn't know where to queue up, and such. No problem, enjoy your first, it won't be your last!

Holy moly! Purvé has some of my favorite cake donuts! They have the usual dessert and savory breakfast sandwiches that use their plain donuts. My husband and I love ordering from here. Love the texture of the donuts and they have such fun donut names. My favorite donuts are 'You're Killing Me, Smalls' (a s'mores flavored donut) and 'Umpa Lumpa Moist Dreamsicle' (an orange glaze with cream cheese donut). They both have the perfect amount of sweetness! I also love the unicorn sticker they put on their boxes. I like using them for my scrapbook! Highly recommend stopping by!

Love the creative donuts. Use the menu in center table to mark off main donut then extras, when done then go to the cashier, pay , and wait for your creation to b made. Great ambiance of a cute unicorn all over the place. Courteous and patient workers. I bought a unicorn shirt. Enjoyed the tastiest donuts.

Unicorns and sugar and donuts, oh my! They definitely have a marketing expert on the team because how can you go wrong with donuts mixed with a unicorn motif and Dirty, suggestive names for the product?! Probably not a place to bring your kids who ask a lot of questions about what things mean, but this is a great donut Shop for adults. If you do have to buy your kids donuts, don't bring them in the store. They had quite the selection, and although it is all cake donuts, they were very light and fluffy like a yeast doughnut would be. The flavor combinations were classic yet interesting and they did a really good job with the flavors. This is a high-quality gourmet donut with a very fun spin. You should definitely try them out. I would highly recommend them.

Great cake donut, one of the best. They make it when you order it, so fresh. Ambience: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Price: 10/10 Service: 10/10

Progress at its best. Preface by saying Purve is one of my favorite places to get my donuts from but now... you can join their points club. Owners Nick and Brion were kind enough to offer a $10 gift card redeemable at their Kahala location. to keep this in perspective, $10 will get you 3 free donuts. Those who get Purve donuts know you can't just get 3 donuts. What? How can you try all the flavors? And you have to love that Unicorn.

Purve has the coolest donut combinations, super fresh donuts, and the kindest, friendliest staff ever. They are helpful, but not pushy. I think they are vegan too!

Went to Purve after a long hiatus......ordered four aloha mac donuts......love the chocolate topping with the chopped mac nuts on top. Always wonderful love the texture and the fact they are not too sweet. I love cake like, dense ,donuts. Love yeast donuts too, but these are best with coffee....yum. Always good and consistent.

I and my husband were around here and just curious this place, then got inside. It was very different image what I had for donuts store. They make their donuts after taking customer's order, so it takes a time but always get fresh made donuts! The owner is friendly and kind, we enjoyed choosing which we order and waiting our order were making. There are order sheets and pens, you can see the picture on the menu and also donuts samples on the counter. You just mark on the order sheet and give it at the order counter. In the store, cute and pop painting on the wall and it's so fan to watch how our donuts are made! (Anyway, their donuts are not yeast donuts, and I'm not fan of the yeast donuts, so that point also I want to give them more star!) There was big order before us, so during waiting the owner gave us a sample donut that just fried,,,, it was hot but not greasy, very light and soooo good! We took home half dozen donuts, they were good but I LOVE to eat them hot & fresh at store!!! Well, they have lots of kind, so I'm sure I'd like to try another flavor again. Highly recommend donuts place here!!!!

This shop is so cool! The donuts being made fresh to order is such an amazing touch and makes all the difference. The flavors are so special and unique! I don't remember the names but I got the daily special one which was coconut and pineapple, a lemony graham cracker one, and the smores one, which was blow torched! The donuts were so hot and fresh and sooo yummy. The worker (possibly owner??) was so extremely nice and walked us through the flavors and ordering process. He also gave us free stickers!! Love this place!

I have had a violent craving for donuts.. BUT not just any donut.. a hot freshly made one at Purvè! I don't get to come to Kahala a whole lot but when I do I have to make a stop to pick up my favorites. Everyone has their favorite donut spot but if you learn one thing from me today it's to go try Purvè if have not already. There is something for everyone here! Not a donut person? You should try these anyways if not order a coffee! The Kona Mocha Freeze is an upgraded version of a frappe or frozen hot chocolate you'd find at your fast chained coffee shops. The Kona coffee flavor is NOT watered down & I would usually say no whip in a frozen drink but this whipped cream is the REAL DEAL not the stuff you find from a can. The usuals you will always find in my box of donuts is Hulk Smash, Unicorn Butt Sneeze & Smurf Balls. If I had to pick one donut I'd say Smurf Balls if my top favorite. My husband isn't a huge mint fan but he will always snag a Hulk Smash donut from here. When you walk in, you a greeted by the bright, colorful high ceilings with funny murals of their donut flavors with personality. Service is always so welcoming & I love that we can see the donuts being made fresh while we wait. I usually do a mobile order bc by the time I'm parking I want them in my hand already lol. I need to slow my roll because I always forget you can get these with ice cream "Unicorn Milk Bombs" with the best ice cream on island - Dave's Ice Cream! I will always add this place on my list of recommendations! Plus supporting local sweets is basically my middle name. Kidding!

It feels like one of those places that has become trendy because someone on Instagram popularized it. The sandwich was good but not great. The lettuce was turning brown. In my opinion, a really great sandwich excels because you can taste the quality, freshness, and flavor of its individual ingredients. In my sandwich, the turkey was flavorless and it felt like they used a strong, heavy sauce to give it flavor, which to me does not make for a foodie destination, $15+ sandwich. Māla Market in Hawaii Kai remains, by far, my favorite sandwich. And given how long Sprout took, I could've driven to Hawaii Kai, gotten my sandwich, and driven back in less time.

The sandwich itself was satisfying, but it was missing one thing: flavor from seasoning. Everything tasted fresh, yet somewhat bland because there was little to no seasoning to bring the ingredients together. My biggest disappointment was the bread. Growing up with Capriotti's back in Delaware, the rolls were a huge part of what made the sandwiches special. The rolls at this location just aren't the same. They're soft and remind me more of the standard hoagie rolls you can pick up at a supermarket rather than the distinctive rolls I remember from back home. Overall, the ingredients are fresh and the service was good, but the lack of seasoning and the difference in the bread keep this from being the Capriotti's experience I was hoping for. Not a bad sandwich by any means, just not quite what I remember from Delaware.

I chose wheat. While waiting I asked if they make their own bread and they do so I was impressed. The worker asked me, you say you didn't want tomatoes? Then I responded I want everything it supposed to come with. I thought I heard him say a second thing but wasn't sure and I was looking closer to the menu. Started by award-winning chef and restauranteur Kelvin Ro in 2002, this popular restaurant is known for its "grab-and-go" market with bakery and deli; and a grill serving local-style plate lunches and burgers. It offers a mix of fresh, local Hawaiian food with casual, quick-service atmosphere, popular with locals and tourists for its fresh, reasonably priced meals and baked goods. The grab-and-go offerings include gourmet deli, house-roasted meats, entrees, salads, sandwiches, soups, and desserts. Non-food merchandise includes creative note cards and freshly made lei. (their lei appear pricy). They also collaborate with other companies to offer taro chips and ice cream. The bakery's popular items include its blueberry cream cheese scones, lemon crunch cake, and Diamond Head torte. The grill has a takeout window and offers upscale local Hawaiian fare with charbroiled and grill services. The items we've tried are: * Blueberry cream cheese scones. Best scones I've ever had! Huge, flaky, moist tender with pockets of solid cream cheese and juicy blueberries make this a popular item! * Lemon crunch cake. The original layered lemon cream cake with toffee bits, with the rumor being a former employee used the same or similar recipe at Aiea Bowl. I still say that this cake at Diamond Head Bakery has more whipped cream, lemon cream, and toffee bits than at Aiea Bowl. * Teri chicken plate. Marinated chicken thighs and glazed with a sweetened Japanese style teri sauce and served with white or brown rice. Nice teri flavor enjoyed by locals, although not too familiar with visitors. Will try the char siu chicken sandwich or chicken plate next time, as it is not normally offered by plate lunch places. Both the grab-n-go and grill sections get busy with customers, and staff are knowledgeable about their items to answer questions produce efficient and quick service. Many appear to be long-time staff. No fancy ambiance, as space is used to display their merchandise for fast turnover. Owner Kelvin Ro has supported the University of HI's Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Diamond Head through monetary pledges in providing training to students in culinary arts. Hours of operation are 7:30a to 8p daily; award-winning breakfast items made to order (pancakes, fluffy omelets, roasted pork hash, loco moco) every Sat/Sun from 7:30a to 10:30a. Free private parking available fronting the front entrance, although cars may have some difficulty going in and out of the spaces due to congestion during peak hours. Diamond Head Market & Grill offers a mix of fresh, local Hawaiian food with a casual, quick service atmosphere, popular with both locals and tourists with its reasonable price meals and baked goods!
