5 Stars is NOT enough! We got married today a block away, just something small with the plan to celebrate with family later. Went for coffee in the same plaza & noticed Purvé. I went in & asked if there was any chance of getting a wedding-esque surprise donut. The owner I believe (Nick) made us 2 donuts personally, went above & beyond with the presentation, then completely comped them! I was honestly blown away. That level of kindness is rare, & it meant more to us than I can even explain. The donuts? DELICIOUS!! Fresh, beautiful, and absolutely one of the best batters I have ever had. Literally couldn't have asked for better. The whole experience was effortless, thoughtful, & unforgettable. Love coming to this place after having my poke bowl from Foodland. The staff is always so nice. When we bring our group of friends and dogs, they will always come outside to give us plain donuts for the dogs. I am typically not a fan of cake-like donuts, but these are really good. Came here after zippys and it it the spot for me. My first time but our friends have been here before. I got the chocolate mint, the donut itself was warm freshly made. I loved the texture and the taste of the donut. The mint wasn't too minted but it didn't bother me I enjoyed it very much. It was yummy yum yum. The lemon one was alittle tart just the way my friend likes it. The Mac but and chocolate one was delicious eat it right away we drive home and even though it. Only glazed doughnuts from the grocery store, only old fashioned doughnuts from a coffee shop, and only warm, frosted cake doughnuts from Pruve. I tried the apple pie doughnut and the AlohaMac (chocolate glaze topped with hazelnuts and caramel), both which were fresh from the oven and still soft, gooey, and melt in your mouth delicious. I and my husband were around here and just curious this place, then got inside. It was very different image what I had for donuts store. They make their donuts after taking customer's order, so it takes a time but always get fresh made donuts! The owner is friendly and kind, we enjoyed choosing which we order and waiting our order were making. There are order sheets and pens, you can see the picture on the menu and also donuts samples on the counter. You just mark on the order sheet and give it at the order counter. In the store, cute and pop painting on the wall and it's so fan to watch how our donuts are made! (Anyway, their donuts are not yeast donuts, and I'm not fan of the yeast donuts, so that point also I want to give them more star!) You should try these anyways if not order a coffee! The Kona Mocha Freeze is an upgraded version of a frappe or frozen hot chocolate you'd find at your fast chained coffee shops. The Kona coffee flavor is NOT watered down & I would usually say no whip in a frozen drink but this whipped cream is the REAL DEAL not the stuff you find from a can. The usuals you will always find in my box of donuts is Hulk Smash, Unicorn Butt Sneeze & Smurf Balls. If I had to pick one donut I'd say Smurf Balls if my top favorite. My husband isn't a huge mint fan but he will always snag a Hulk Smash donut from here. When you walk in, you a greeted by the bright, colorful high ceilings with funny murals of their donut flavors with personality. Service is always so welcoming & I love that we can see the donuts being made fresh while we wait. I usually do a mobile order bc by the time I'm parking I want them in my hand already lol. They are just there...at work...at a party. And since Purvé's mascot is a unicorn, I will say the magical unicorn dust brings them. I finally visited Purvé Donut Shop at the Kuono Marketplace in Kahala. No donuts for me in months, so on a whim...decided to treat myself. It is a big space and there is some counter seating for eating in. The yeast donuts are made fresh; glazed and sprinkled to order. There are unique flavor combinations and they are named and described in a humorous way. The owners must be local and loco. They have a special "D" of the day. This was on the list to try, so we dropped in for dessert around 7:30 pm on a Monday. When we got there, one of the staff members popped about and asked if we'd been there before. Cake batter falls in to hot oil and then flips until golden brown. It is fun for kids to see how donuts are made. Donut options are on a card with options to select your own toppings. The donuts are about 10-12 minutes to fry and have topping added. The You're Killing Me Small was sooooo fresh. It was still hot! The thin layer of chocolate is sprinkled with a little graham cracker and then topped with a dollop of melted creamy marshmallow. The donut was delicious. They also serve local Kai coffee. The shop is in a small strip mall. Parking is difficult if you go later in the day, but early, spaces are easy to grab. There are a couple tables to eat inside. Located on Waialae, Purve is a unique donut shop with a creative assortment of flavors! I had never heard of any of these types of donuts before stopping at Purve. While the stop itself is not huge, it was clean and efficient. There was some seating but a limited amount. We got half a dozen and tried some of their more popular types. While they were all neat to try and worth the try, they were a bit too sweet for us. We were wanting some sweets but it was a bit too much for us. However, we thought they were overall pretty good. The donuts were pricier than a typical donut we might get but with all of the stuff on them, it was to be expected. We ended up meeting a friend for brunch at the restaurant which allowed me to conveniently stop by afterwards. A bright colorful shop with cartoon of donuts and unicorns. On the table, they have their 12 donut styles plus 2 weekly specials on display. They each are unique in their designs and flavors. Their generous offer enabled me to select three donuts. Looking over the descriptions, we decided on: Na-Na-Nut Buster - Haupia glazed lei'd with mac nuts and chocolate banana drizzle. Jimbo - cinnamon sugar pounded into caramel apple pit. Weekly D - pandan glaze, coconut flakes and ube drizzle. After ordering, you can watch the worker make the batter, put it into the hopper, see the donuts drop into the oil and go through the cooking process. The coffee was really good, as well! The store is really quirky, and has a cute photo backdrop painted on their wall. It honestly matches their brand perfectly. Boy, was I wrong! If it wasn't for the nice employee that showed us how to order, we would have still been standing there confused. Thankfully, she showed us how and got to it. While my husband and kids were busy choosing theirs, I was too busy cracking up at the names...but ultimately choosing Smurf Balls, The Sanchez, Sunburnt Haole, Hulk Smash, Na Na Nut Buster, AlohaMac, Umpa Lumpa Moist Dreamcicle, and "You're Killing Me Smalls." I love the fact that everything was handcrafted right in front of you, from the donuts being freshly made to the glaze and toppings. Once home, we couldn't wait to try them and fell in love rather quickly. Not too sweet, not overly priced, and most of all, one of the best donuts I've had on the island thus far! read more

We have been to purve near Alamoana, but first time to this one in Kahala after having dinner in the area! Place is clean and the donuts are made fresh and are always delicious! The service was fast and friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in! Keep up the great service! read more
