Ordered this morning from out of state for my nephews and niece in FL for their first day of 6th grade. They absolutely LOVE Donut King and this was the perfect surprise to start their day. I ordered the M&M, Chocolate Oreo, Zebra, Fruity Pebbles, and Candy Ring - they were delivered perfectly and looked just as amazing as they tasted. I reached out to the Minneola location, Donut King, via FB messenger to make sure I could schedule an order for pickup for a future date. They responded and said absolutely. I schedule a pickup order for Saturday June 6, 2026 for 4:30 PM on Tuesday June 2, 2026. I screenshot the order and received my confirmation email. I get there on June 6th and they don't have my order. I tell them that I have reached out before ordering and placed a future order for pick up. They ask when I did that and I tell them that I pre-ordered on Tuesday. Their reply? "Oh, we probably threw away the ticket." WTAF!! I had search for my email and show then proof of payment. Unfortunately, three of the donuts were not available so they gave them to me without being glazed. Never again will I pre-order. That team cannot be trusted. read more

The 3 stars are for the donuts themselves, they were tasty and soft. I can't even tell you what flavors I got because of how rushed we were. I give 0 stars for the employees. The young man that helped me was so rude. We were looking at the flavor options to decide what we wanted but the young man rushed us in how many donuts we wanted in total that we cut it short. Initially we wanted about 8, but the young man seemed annoyed by the 5 seconds that we were discussing the amount so we just settled on 1 for each of us. Very disappointing. My family isn't from around here so they don't know the flavors they have so they quickly chose random ones. There was no one else inside for him to have even rushed us so what was the point in that. They need to be retrained in customer service, that was insanely rude and I hope that the owner doesn't continue to allow that kind of behavior. Take your business elsewhere. Free and easy park just steps outside the door but after eating just a few bites they should make it at least a mile away with the amount of sugar and grease. Loved the staff could not be nicer but we were looking for a baked old fashioned donut ended up with a plain and got talked into a double chocolate, which is a chocolate cake donut dipped in glaze, then has a dark chocolate topping. Too much, kinda sickening. Just stepping inside you can smell the cheap sugar but get excited for the possibility that you had as a kid. Wow I was super impressed with the large selection of specialty donuts that Donut King offers that you will not find in any of the chain donut businesses around here. These types of donut shops are far and few in between where I am always compelled to visit a business like this and give em a try. Glad I did in this case as these are excellent donuts. They are fresh, large, well made, reasonably priced and most importantly oh so tasty. For my first visit here and definately not my last, I got a strawberry frosted coconut topped donut and a strawberry frosted "Pebbles" donut. So so good. The shop itself has kind of a worn look to it and a ho hum appearance from the outside but don't let that fool you as these are seriously good donuts. In the mood for some donuts on a Sunday morning! Had to check out Donut King. We were not disappointed. Not only were they tasty but they were huge. We picked up 3 of the "large" glazed donuts for about $20. They were soft and tasty and one was plenty for 2 of us. I was lucky and walked right up to the counter but the lobby filled with about 10 people right after I walked in. A lot of options available but we opted for the glazed. The lobby was small as it is carry out only. It's a very small place and the 10 people filled it up quickly. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and threw in a good sense of humor. Started digging into the first donut the second i got back out to the car. Yum! We'll be back to try some new varieties next time. The lemon looked mighty tasty. When we asked for the hot glazed donuts the staff member said they don't have any and that they are told to keep that sign on even if it's not true to bring in customers.
