We tried this donut shop while in town visiting friends. It did not disappoint! It's a small shop with its own parking which is convenient. There are SO many flavors of donuts! The employees were all friendly and helpful. The donuts tasted fresh and were delicious. I'd definitely come back next time we're in town!

Free and easy park just steps outside the door but after eating just a few bites they should make it at least a mile away with the amount of sugar and grease. Loved the staff could not be nicer but we were looking for a baked old fashioned donut ended up with a plain and got talked into a double chocolate, which is a chocolate cake donut dipped in glaze, then has a dark chocolate topping. Too much, kinda sickening. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just stepping inside you can smell the cheap sugar but get excited for the possibility that you had as a kid.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So many people at work swear by this place, absolutely love it! I just don't think we have the same stomach. Again, not trying to be a snob, the folks that work here are a delight, bake fresh all day long, just not my bag. Take it for what it is.

Wow I was super impressed with the large selection of specialty donuts that Donut King offers that you will not find in any of the chain donut businesses around here. These types of donut shops are far and few in between where I am always compelled to visit a business like this and give em a try. Glad I did in this case as these are excellent donuts. They are fresh, large, well made, reasonably priced and most importantly oh so tasty. For my first visit here and definately not my last, I got a strawberry frosted coconut topped donut and a strawberry frosted "Pebbles" donut. So so good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop itself has kind of a worn look to it and a ho hum appearance from the outside but don't let that fool you as these are seriously good donuts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also the Staff is super friendly and very patient as you try to figure out what donuts to get (Too many good looking donuts to choose from) . Overall if you are a fan of well made donuts and unique donut varieties than this is a must visit if you are in the area. Five stars all day long and twice on Sunday (:

Lol.. It's a little hole in the wall bakery,wheb my family from California comes we make Donut King our 1st official stop in the city of Clermont.

Best and biggest donuts ever!!! Taste as good as they looked. I'm a baker so I'm always a little worried if a donut will be worth the hype. Yes, yes it is! Every donut was my new favorite. I would have to buy them all again because there is no way to choose.

Ok so we are Krispy Kreme fans, but only the hot now glazed originals... The rest of KK's are just Ok. But this place here is by far the the best donut place in Central Florida. Not even close anywhere else. The quality is better than all of the others, Dunkin is not even in the same hemisphere and only the hot now donuts are even close at KK. It took us 30 minutes to get there from Baldwin Park in Orlando and it was worth the drive. Every donut we tried, was exceptional. A must try. Open 24/7 too. Friendly staff! read more

We waited 40 minutes for a bagel. RIDICULOUS. Yes there donuts are good but seriously? 40 minutes? My advice, just get a donut from the glass class and don't actually order anything that needs to be cooked. Customer service was average. read more

Just moved to Minneola and read all the reviews on Donut King. My family and I were in process of moving and wanted something local to eat for dinner and so I suggested we give DK a try. Haven't tried the donuts yet (will try on next visit) but we were impressed w the hot foods we ate. Omelettes are great! Good chicken wings and tenders, fries and onion rings, oh and the dirty rice too. Nice knowing there is a convenient place right up the road open 24/7 for some good hot food and something sweet too. read more

5 stars! Donuts 24 hours a day. The sliders are great and comparable to White Castle. My favorite by far is the blueberry cake. There is reason this is a fixture in clermont. My folks make it a point to come here often whenever they are in town. read more

I've only ever ate their donuts for the last few years, always great. Today I had a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel ... I don't normally like stuff like that and it was awesome. Their bagel were way better than I expected. I also ordered their hash browns and they were really great too. It was only like $4 and change too. Great deal. read more

All other donut chains should close their doors and give up. I love a hot Krispy Kreme donut, but it doesn't hold a candle to these donuts. The selection is amazing and they definitely don't skimp on the toppings. It can get really busy, but I thinks it's definitely worth the wait. Picking a favorite donut would be just about impossible, but my top 5 would be: Maple glazed (no bacon-overpowers the glaze) Blueberry Cake Chocolate iced with Butterfinger Oreo Red Velvet Cake (if they have it with cream cheese icing, GET IT!) I've never tried the regular food or dined in, so I can only comment on the donuts. read more

I am originally from Tampa Florida and my family moved here to Orlando! I came home to visit and my family was non stop talking about donut king. BECAUSE ITS THE BEST DONUT PLACE EVER! The people are wonderful and so helpful and friendly! They went out their way to deliver donuts to my dad, on his bday. The fresh donuts are to die for and they even taste incredible after a day or two at home ! I can't wait to bring all my friends here whenever I visit. Highly recommend this place if you like fresh, hot, decadent, extravagant, simple, and amazing donuts ! Donut king you the besttttttt!!!! read more

Drove 45 minutes to try this place because of the great reviews. Disappointed they were out of the butter beans but the gumbo was fantastic. We also wanted the red velvet cake donuts but they were out of those as well. The other donuts we ate we're fantastic though. Highly recommend the donut shop for a meal and donuts. read more

The effort definitely goes into the donuts not the decor. That being said, this is the hole in the wall type place in which you should make a special trip. Like right now, because they are always open, and that's more than rare in Minneola. I've never left with less than a dozen, because you can't tell someone you went there without bringing them some. I've even had them make me a few custom donuts in the back when the scores of options they have on hand isn't enough for my donut discerning palate. read more

Compared to DD.... Bigger donuts, better prices, still made in house, and local small business vs big chain who's donuts shrunk and went up in price and are now cooked in a warehouse. Not to mention The Donut King is open whenever you feel like eating a delicious donut. No contest. read more

Excellent donuts. Much better than than the chains donut shops. Diffidently a must if your on highway 27 in lake county. I gave them four stars as it took me 10 minutes to get to the counter. More morning staff needed at the counter during peek hours. Otherwise no issues with this place. Will be back. read more

Let me say....I have been a fan of Donut King for years but lately, the quality of food has gone down hill. I loved their wings and again the last three times I have purchased them the have been mushy and tasteless. The Castle Burgers were my favorite however they have changed the bun they come on and it is nowhere as good. The staff seems to stay at a high turnover rate and never seem to be in good spirits. This place has the best donuts I've ever eaten. Their selection is ridiculous too, they have something for everyone. I was sad about not having White Castle anymore when I moved here, and then I found out Donut King sells fresh made White Castle style sliders too. The taste is nearly identical. I close this review with their biscuits, which are buttery and delicious and literally 99 cents for a biscuit the size of your face. Donut King, you the real MVP read more

From the outside it doesn't look like much... However, when you step inside you're consumed with an amazing selection of fresh and delicious donuts. None of the chains live up to the quality and variety you will find here. Strawberry filled, blueberry filled, Boston creme, toasted coconut, maple glazed with bacon, grasshopper, red velvet, Oreo... They have giant donuts bigger than your face... Fritters... Danishes... Anything your heart desires!!! They also have a small menu of lunch and dinner items. If you've ever had "White Castle", they serve a similar burger called the castle burger. They're just as delicious and tastey!! Besides castle burgers, they have po' boys, jumbalaya, and a few other items. All worth checking out! The staff here are always friendly and helpful in deciding what to feast on! The prices are reasonable, donuts HUGE, and they're open 24 hours. 24 HOURS!! read more

Whoa...absolutely delicious. Where else can you get a bacon donut and a sac of burgers? It's a super small place that doesn't look like much, but go in and give it a smell. No matter what time of day there's a huge, fresh selection to choose from. And I've never tried any food besides the sac of burgers because why bother? I've always been a White Castle fan, so Donut King is the perfect combo of amazing donuts and quick, soft mini burgers. Yum! read more

I witnessed, this morning the "IDIOT" truck driver, from Donuts King, by Universal Studios, run over a Mother Duck and 2 of her little baby ducks....Everybody else could see the duck family, except the"IDIOT" truck driver. It was sad the see the mother waddle away, as the baby ducks were confused and scabbing off the road. I certainly hope your donuts are better then there truck drivers. HE OR SHE NEEDS TO HAVE THE DRIVER LICENSE REVOKED read more

Nothing screams happiness and joy like a smell of a fresh donut. It's just simply amazing place to get that smile on your face and that warm feeling in your belly. The best pastries I have had ever. And then we move onto the sandwiches. The closest you will get to those little white burgers you will get down here. The jambalaya is pretty darn great too. They are open 24 hours for those late night early mornings cravings. read more

Let me start off by saying we LOVE your donuts. However, the past three times we have purchased them, the buttercream filled are a huge disappointment. I am not exaggerating when I say that our buttercream filled had MAYBE a teaspoon of buttercream if that, and just on one side. I had to eat 3/4 of the donut before I even got to the buttercream. This is the third time this has happened. Please do better. read more

The kids and I stopped by for lunch and to take some donuts home. All portions were very generous. The food was cooked fresh. Fried shrimp, catfish, and chicken nuggets all were yummy....none of that prepackaged, already breaded frozen stuff either. Of course the donuts, fritters, and cinnamon rolls are the best around! read more
