This donut shop was more than just donuts. Smoothies, drinks, sandwiches. If you go later in the day there won't be a ton of donut options. Plenty of parking. Quick service. Sausage, egg & cheese croissant -- quite enjoyable. They used fresh eggs (not liquid) which is always a requirement to me coming back to a bagel shop. The egg had more of a fried over hard texture. Croissant not super flaky so felt like an egg sandwich which was pleasant. Sausage, egg & cheese bagel -- this was sooo dry. Left with no ketchup and it was hard to consume. Review is for donuts only. Sometimes less is better!!!!! Donut Plus located at Glassell and Collin's offers solid donut and breakfast sandwiches at decent prices. I have reviewed plenty of Donut places and sometimes you don't want to spend extra for donuts at the specialized donut places ( Sidecar, Friendly's, Krispy Kreme, etc). In particular if it your turn buy 2 dozen for the office lol. The staff is super nice and helpful and like that they have this massive digital menu that helps you make your choices. The inside is clean, and there is space if you want to eat your food on site. I am a huge fan of apple fritters, and of course DP doesn't disappoint! I made up my mind and ordered a ham, cheese, and egg croissant that was prepared immediately after ordering. I could tell that my croissant was made with a lot of care! The croissant was flaky and the egg inside had the proper amount of seasoning. I cherished the blend of ham, cheese, egg, and croissant with every bite! One thing that impressed me was that the croissant was cut in half to make it easier to eat. Another thing that impressed me was that it was wrapped in paper before being placed in the bag. Its nice having so many options of donut spots close to home. This place is the go to spot for croissants. We order the bacon, ham, egg and cheese croissant which they top with the perfect amount of pepper. I absolutely love the softness of the bread. Definitely 5 stars for the breakfast sandwich. The donuts are pretty good but I've noticed that my favorite, jelly donut, is smaller than other locations and filled with an icing instead of jam. They have a good selection though of regular classic donuts. The place is cash only but they have a debit system where you can get cash back but charge you a $1.50 fee so it's best just to show up with the cash. What I don't like is every time I pull up there is a group of guys that stand out front which stare and make it uncomfortable. read more

I'm not sure what happened today, whether it was Donuts Plus or whether it was the driver from Postmates, but we ordered 5 breakfast sandwiches and found multiple hair in each one, 2 of which we found hair left in the wrappers after the croissants were consumed. Giving Donuts Plus every benefit of the doubt, and blaming it on contamination from the Postmates delivery guy, Donuts Plus should have some definite way of sealing their boxes with tape that doesn't peel off easily. (The boxes didn't looked like they were tampered with at all.) Unfortunately, no matter who was at fault, unacceptable and nasty. read more
