Excellent donut shop right next to 7-11. This is a prime example of a hard working mom and pop shop. Owner are super nice and friendly. Prices are still really cheap. And the donuts not only look Amazing but taste great. No grease later. Fluffy. Ham and cheese was nicely done. Needed a tad more cheese but overall really good. Nice texture. This is a great place for delicious doughnuts at a reasonable price. The staff is helpful and they do a great job at keeping the place clean. They have a good variety of flavors (I personally lean towards cake doughnuts) and even have croissants and pastries. I am a huge fan of their of their soft and fluffy dough. The glaze and frostings are sweet and tasty. Great experience overall! read more

Loved their donuts!! Came here at 9pm at night because they were one of the few places open. They have a small parking lot shared with 7/11 next door so finding a spot was not an issue. When we went there were a couple of people ordering sandwiches ahead of us, it sounded good but we were full and just wanted a sweet treat. There was a small but decent selection of donuts to choose from and I'm not sure on pricing but I paid $10 for 6 donuts we chose from and they were all delicious! The best donut we tried was probably the chocolate chip bar with chocolate filling, it was not too sweet (remarked by the employee). I also really liked the sprinkle donut and maple bar... honestly you can't go wrong here! The donut texture is soft and seemed decently fresh. Overall I would definitely recommend and come back! My husband and I order the #3 sausage egg and cheese croissant with jalapeño and avocado. My daughter gets the bacon one. We all say the shop owner Olga makes the best croissants around! We have a tradition where after church we go get donuts, donut Sunday's. We have tried many donut shops in Orange County and we have found ourselves coming back to her shop. We all definitely recommend!!!! We recently tried her Vietnamese coffee, it is so good! Ambiance is good too, small cozy shop. read more

Terrible service and worse customer service. Unjustified way they treat people. Wouldn't let me sit down at their inside tables. Not only me another customer wanted to sit down after making a purchase like me. We were kicked out and told we were not allowed to be inside of their premises. Two Asian women making fun of us and putting us down. My husband bought coffee and doughnuts almost everyday there. Not no more. There are so many other places that treat everyone with respect and kindness. I have never had such a bad experience as We did at this place. read more

I got some and the donut holes were really good, in my opinion I think the croissant lacked flakiness and was not the best, same thing with the old fashioned, they both lacked texture, it's still a decent spot, I would still stop by to get donut holes or a twist though.service was good and workers were nice. read more

There are many donut places within a few miles of this one but I think Donut Star has the best donuts and sandwiches and they're open super late! The donuts are very affordable. However, if I recall correctly, they have a pretty high credit card minimum (relative to the low donut prices) which is pretty inconvenient. There's not much room for seating so think of this as more of a grab-and-go spot. read more

This is one of my two favorites donut shops. The service here is always amazing! The ham and cheese croissants are my favorite and their iced coffee Is a must have! We went here after a 12 hour ordeal in the CHOC emergency department and it was exactly what we needed. The iced coffee was strong and delicious. Literally the best iced coffee I've ever had! A donut shop that is consistent at any time of the day, whether it's making a detour on the way to work, stopping by on weekend afternoon or coming home at 3AM. On top of their pastries, their sandwiches are a banger. Their breakfast burritos include a hash brown (can be requested on other sandwiches) which adds another level to it. read more

This place is great. They have my favorite coffee(Vietnamese coffee). Strong flavors gotta try it if you decide to stop by. They have choices after choices on the sandwich from breakfast to club sandwich. My favorite is #7 with extra meat(turkey). There smoothie is off the chain. Those ladies know how to make them right and delicious. There green tea smoothie is a must but try em all. Especially Taro flavor, just good. read more

Funny enough I have never been a huge fan of donuts but this place has changed me! I am basically a regular, lol. I'm a huge boba fan and the green thai tea/thai tea is the best I have ever had! They have a variety of different donuts and the prices are great! I usually snag the 10 donut holes for $1 for a maple bar as a side for my thai tea! The store is clean, it's open late at night, the women working there are very sweet, the food tastes great, the drinks are amazing, and there is always parking. If you want a quick donut fix, this is the place to go! Ps, it is cash only!! 10/10 would recommend! read more

Very friendly staff and great donuts. I like their blueberry cake donut and old fashioned the best. Ham and cheese croissants are buttery and yummy. Good price for donuts and the owner gave me extra when I bought five donuts. They take card as well. Thai green tea is also very good but a bit sweet for me. I always come here when I'm craving donuts. Only downside is that the store is in an awkward location and it's a small plaza that is difficult to get into. read more

Bden living in Orange over 3 years now and Donut Star on Batavia is top notch! Hands down the best donuts and quick breakfast in town! Staff are ALWAYS so welcoming, efficient, and friendly. We've become regulars here for breakfast crossiants (the works), iced viet coffee and/or fresh OJ. Donuts are also always so fresh and tasty. Breakfast is ALWAYS made on the spot, not reheated like most other donut shops. People complaining can kick rocks and stop being Karen's. read more

I love this place! I have come here a couple of times and thought I'd pop in today to help support a local business during this time. First of all it's open during all these shutdowns. On top of that it's open 24/7 for any of those that may want a donut, sandwich, drinks or snacks at any time of the day or night. Even in a pinch and it has a nice variety to choose from for your delighting and snacking needs. The people that run it are humble and very nice. Small donut establishment in the center of Orange. It's located on the corner of Chapman and Batavia, next to 7-11. They have a large selection of items here and it's always busy. They have donuts, sandwiches, croissants, milk tea, etc. I usually get their croissant. My favorite one is ham and cheese. It's soft and flaky, with tons of ham and gooey cheese. The only downside of Donut Star is that parking is very limited and it's cash only. read more

Stopped by on my way to work to grab a dozen or so donuts and was in and out in less than 5 minutes! Parking is pretty convenient since it's in a corner plaza, but it's cash only so that's the downside. I paid a little over $10 for a dozen donuts with a side of milk and 6 donut holes. Donut holes were nice and slightly airy which I loved. The icing was also consistent and not too over-glazed. I think its safe to say the donuts are pretty solid. Everyone seems to be raving about their breakfast sandwiches too, so I'll definitely have to stop by again one of these days to try it! read more

My all time favorite Donut Shop when I'm in Anaheim- I always look forward to coming here for my morning caffeine and of course my doughnut fix- mainly because the owners! I heart them!!! they are super friendly and over the few months that I've come they actually remember us! Customer service is awesome! They know their regulars and their "out of town"regulars too! They make the best blended frappe coffees -creamy and not too sweet. Variety of smoothies and Thai iced tea is perfect every time. Doughnuts are always fresh- the last couple times we've come the doughnuts were still warm. My raspberry filled was a perfect ratio of jelly to doughnut with a light coat of glaze. Come and support this mom and pop shop- just off of Chapman Ave off Harbor Blvd in the very 1st strip mall on the left - it's actually already Garden Grove on the GPS.. Thank you Donut Star!!! (The tea by the way was very refreshing.) Now, this was my first time here but I never saw anyone come out to check the dining room or wipe down the tables after the lunch rush. This was especially concerning to me because they had a guy doing work on the windows who put his feet/ shoes on the tables right under said windows. Ewww. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

Donut Star is hands down one of the best donut spots in Orange County. The donuts are always fresh, soft, and packed with flavor, and the service is consistently friendly every time I come in. What really sets them apart is their willingness to get creative. They have the classics, but the adventurous specialty donuts are where the magic happens. I tried the Girl Scout inspired Samoa donut, and it absolutely delivered. A soft, pillowy donut with a rich chocolate-coated bottom, topped with a generous layer of caramel and coconut. The flavors were balanced deliciously. The chocolate added depth, the caramel brought just enough buttery sweetness, and the coconut gave it texture and a slightly nutty finish. Best of all, it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Going back for this one soon! If coconut is not your thing, but you enjoy chocolate and whip cream I recommend the whipped cream stuffed chocolate Long John. The chocolate icing had a nice cocoa flavor without being overly sweet, while the whipped cream filling was light, airy, and pleasantly smooth. What really stood out though was the donut itself because it was soft, fluffy, and fresh. The freshness was obvious from the first bite. The donut had that perfect texture--light and airy inside while still substantial enough to hold all of those toppings. It managed to feel indulgent without becoming heavy. Even the atmosphere here adds to the experience. Standing outside with a fresh donut and coffee in hand while watching the steady stream of customers come and go gives you the feeling that you've discovered a local favorite rather than a chain trying to imitate one. I can't speak about their food because I didn't get any but it looks like they have a good array of options. I got an iced vanilla caffe latte. I will say like it was good but it was a little sweeter than I expected and definitely a strong coffee. Which is not bad, but I think maybe I should have stated my preference! The person who took my order was very friendly and prompt. She made my drink quickly too. The area itself is nice. Really great seating and it feels very open. And I liked the music they were playing. I will say for some reason when I was there like around 3:30 PM they opened the doors of the cafe and started cleaning and such. It almost felt like they were closing but I knew they closed later than that so I wasn't sure. Anyway, I still think this is a nice cafe in Orange right across from CHOC if you're waiting for someone.

The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming -- He went above and beyond by letting me try several samples before deciding (which I loved because there were so many unique flavors!). On top of the great service, the shop has beautiful Mexican-inspired décor that gives it a warm and vibrant atmosphere. You can tell a lot of love and care went into both the space and the ice cream. If you're looking for delicious ice cream or even pancakes, strawberries and cream, fresh juices or a light snack, in a clean place that you can enjoy comfort food, this is definitely the spot. We could see bright colors from outside and when we got inside it was very colorful and happy and the service person greeted us right away. We immediately went to a cute photo op , an ice cream chair and it had two tables for children with color books, jenga and crayons. The scoop ice cream is very creamy. We got chocolate in a cone. Their scoops are very generous but I think the ice cream could be more frozen. They also have a lot of candy choices and chips, smoothies.
