Appointment is set for 8 am, Door King shows up promptly at 8am. They start working on my slider that had no maintenance at all in 20+ years. Got the shade screens off and started tackling the glass slider. Over 20 years of Nevada dust had accumulated, so they brought out many tools, screw drivers, various sizes of brushes and of course the vacuum cleaner. I was able to rinse off all the doors and they were dry by the time they were ready to be reinstalled. The entire job took 45 minutes. The gentleman from Door King called me back in a timely manner, explained what the potential range of cost could be, and set an appointment with me for the next business day. He told me they would show up between 11am and 1pm, and they arrived at 10:55am. By 11:34, my door was fixed and working perfectly. The cost was right within the range he told me, too. The two guys were friendly, funny, and even liked my pets. As far as I am concerned, the guys at Door King were my heroes today, and if I ever have another door-related problem, they will be my first call. As for the 1 start reviews, I would not expect someone to come over for a free estimate, therefore I would not give a business 1 start because they don't want to give me something free. Keep in mind, you are paying for someone's expertise in this business, and although some may offer it for "free", it may not be. I believe in paying people what they're worth, so I would ask them: Do you want to work for nothing? Anyway, I did call around looking for advice and guidance on a door issue, which was out of adjustment. It was a fire door to the garage. One important thing I found out from Roger was that the door I had was not a fire rated door. Good to know. He spent a great deal of his time explaining possible causes, and provided estimates on what my options are at this time. Fortunately I was able to tackle this job myself by shimming up my door frame: problem solved. I am grateful for Roger's feedback, and would definitely call them if I have door work. read more

My front door jam was badly damaged from a break in because it was only secured to the frame by small nails. Rodger and his partner cut out the damaged area and put in a new piece of oak which was secured with three inch screws; and then installed a new dead bolt and door set. They did a great job at a fair price and I now have a secure front door that cannot be broken easily. read more

They were really nice and friendly with excellent customer service and workmanship. Our slider track was so messed up the slider used to get stuck to where it wouldn't move and the lock was broken. Had a problem with my keypad system (first time having a problem with them) and called the tech support line. Wait time was not long, however when I got on the phone, the gentleman on the other line was very short and did not seem interested in helping me. I started off with letting him know that I had a problem with my keypad and that I had the three components (model number, serial number and revision level, and circuit board number) handy and ready to go. He then asked,"well what is it exactly isn't working", I wouldn't have minded if he would have asked in a polite manner but he did it in a snarky way which really put me off. I understand that I should have gave him a deeper explanation to my problem, but I could tell right away he was not interested. Customer service was horrible. He did tell me that hardware issues are local, and again I would have been just fine if his TONE was pleasant and sincere. I called the local office and no one picked up and then got redirected to voicemail that was "full". Horrible experience with troubleshooting so far. i employed Roger and his crew to fix my double doors at my place of employment! They were in bad shape and the job was more than expected however they did fix and rebuild our doors which over time had lost essential parts ( bad repairs by previous tenants) They did a great job on our doors and did what they said they would do- however in less than 30 days all the weather stripping was falling out - which I was told "This is heavy industrial stuff, not that cheap crap you can buy at HD"well it sure looked the same. They did come out and fix that however when they fell out again a couple weeks later, and I called to have them fixed I received argument-excuses and verbatim pertaining to " Your doors are greasy, It's this heat want do you want me to do? They maybe melted." When I stated that my check didn't melt before it cleared the bank I was rudely hung up on! It is one thing to be polite and professional even if this is not what your company's does, but it is another to just be rude and flat out short with a prospective client. Negative 100 stars!!! I am EXTREMELY APPALLED at DOOR KING in Las Vegas! I called about our two solid mahogany front doors. One door was warped slightly in the upper corner and I needed to see if we could fix it. The man who answered the call, Roger, was the most awful and rude man I have probably ever encountered! Instead of being kind and understanding and helping me to rectify (or simply help me UNDERSTAND) what was going on with the door, he was BELLIGERENT! Who on earth, treats a 'potential customer' with such disdain? He was talking to me EXTREMELY aggressively and it was VERY apparent that he wanted to just get rid of me...he wanted me off the phone! WOW! I called them VERY SPECIFICALLY because of all the wonderful reviews! I'm still trying to wrap my head around how he treated me on the phone because I was simply asking door questions! I do NOT understand how Door King could have such good reviews with such a NASTY, AWFUL tempered, rude man, as the OWNER no less!! I am STILL dumbfounded and shocked on how Roger treated me and come to find out, in the last 30 minutes of research, he apparently is a VERY NASTY and BELLIGERENT man! So it wasn't just me...w-o-w. This is one of the worst services I have ever had, PERIOD. I had these guys come and fix the front door of my restaurant for $500. I was told there was a warranty. Within a half year, the door broke again on the first windy day since the repair. When inquiring about the warranty, they told me parts were free, but labor would be around $500 again. Furthermore, instead of taking responsibility, they had the gall to now tell me that our door shouldn't open outwards, and that we should just keep it open all the time on windy days and wait until it is no longer windy before closing it. Right... after 11 years in business, it was just PURE LUCK that the door never broke. And when it finally did, their "repair" lasted less than half a year. This is absurd, and borderline FRAUD. Never ever use their services, unless you want to donate to a shady business. read more

First , they called and arrived early. What a concept for Las Vegas! They were knowledgeable about their craft and set to work in 101 heat last Wednesday My doors were so heavy and hard to open even after all the WD 40 I had applied over the years that it took a lot of strength to open them. My Window Cleaners Fish, recommended them after they did an excellent job on my 30 odd window panes, door King , Roger and Scott, took them down and had a few problems because they were custom doors in 1986 and everyone is now out of business, but they fixed them to the point that I'm almost off balance when I open them now as I still remember the resistance they had before. The reason I'm writing this review is that I just came in from the garden and closed the doors with two fingers If you have stubborn doors , call these guys they are worth every penny! read more
