I reduced my rating due to the small portion of corned beef hash and the rude customer service. I love this place & have been there many times but this time was different. Despite ordering an additional side of corned beef hash due to the small portion served on my plate, it never arrived. When I politely expressed my disappointment, the server (not waitress but an older worker that served my food) snapped at me. Although the food was delicious, I left hungry so had to downgrade my rating from 5 stars, which I previously gave for good portions, great customer service and delicious food. *some of the pics are from another visit which shows a good portion of corned beef by itself. I never thought anyone could really mess up a breakfast sandwich but Toni's did! My croissant sausage egg and cheese was hard on the top and wet on the bottom! They fried egg wasn't cooked all the way! The sausage was nasty!!! Croissant wasn't buttery at all. Then I brought a bottled soda that was flat! It wasn't worth the price! The good: - Pancakes we really big & good flavor - Good coffee - Wife said the turkey sausage was the best she ever had The bad: - French toast was bottom of the barrel, could've made it better myself - the bread chosen was the cheapest, thinnest Aldi bread you could find. - Eggs were overdone and folded so 2 eggs felt like half an egg. - Bacon was really small and all of ours were overdone, like eating crunchy rocks. Sausage was only patty sausage, no choice for links. I'm not a patty guy but if you like 'em, these were the real deal. Great breakfast. Everything tasted fresh and non-greasy. Waitress was friendly and courteous. The only negative thing was a gas-type smell. Been going to Johnson's every Sunday for about 3 months now for breakfast. By far one of the best breakfast place I have been to in a long time. Prices are great, food is good and staff is always very nice and friendly. Scrambled eggs are really good not wet but not over cooked either. Don makes them perfect every time! I come here at lunch when i am craving a grilled cheese. The guy who makes the food knows how to make a superb grilled cheese. I order the same thing every time i go in. When he sees me coming in he starts getting my sandwich prepared. I always get the sandwich with fries. Sometimes with a brewed sweet tea and others with just a water. You will see a lot of the same people coming back time and time again because the food is decent. It's got your typical sandwich, sub, soups, salads etc. The food is fresh, and they often have specials with off menu items that are very good. This place is right behind Johns Hopkins Healthcare. I like that the food is reasonable and that it's hot. I've only had breakfast but I am please. The staff is friendly and they crack the eggs here...not that pour out of a carton shortcut. The breakfast potatoes are great, a lot of places mess this up but not this place.
