If you want good, filling Mexican (and Tex-Mex) food while listening to karaoke on a Sunday evening then this is the spot for you! Dos Salsas is a very fun and inviting place to eat at, boasting a decently sized menu with great items. We walked in with a party of 5 although we would recommend making a reservation as we can easily see this place being packed on a Friday or Saturday night. The interior is very open and vibrant with a bar and many tables to bring friends and family with. The servers are kind and move quickly as well. Now for the food! For appetizers we had their complimentary chips and salsa but also ordered some ground beef queso. The chips are good and their red and green salsas are flavorful with a nice kick of spice to them. The queso was also creamy and rich, packing in a ton of flavor. We ordered their cheese quesadilla, cheeseburger, and barbacoa plate. Their cheese quesadilla was good with a nice crisp to the flour tortilla and spread of guacamole, sour cream, and more. The burger, on the other hand, was not very good. You can't really expect much out of a burger ordered at a Mexican restaurant but this was a pretty dry burger with subpar cheese and inconsistent fries. Not docking a whole lot of points based on that though because it still is a burger at a Mexican place. Lastly, the barbacoa plate was phenomenal. The barbacoa was tender and juicy with the rice and beans around it being savory and delicious. The corn tortillas it came with also served as a great platform for everything. We may have also done some karaoke at some point that brought another layer of fun to things. Overall our experience at Dos Salsas was very fun and we would be shocked if we're not back here soon. On our way out we caught a sign that said they do $1 mimosa refills for boozy brunch so that seems like a good way to follow things up! Either way, this is a great spot for dinner and karaoke or even to just get a drink and catch a game.

Mario took care of me but the staff is wonderful! I've always had a good experience here. It clean & fast service . Food wonderful. I'm Latina & it's family friendly. Friday and Saturday is open karaoke. If you don't like the noise, shouldn't go downstairs at 7 o'clock and the lower bar is open. I promise you you're missing out if you never tried them. They have many like birthdays and other parties here.

    Beautiful but wayyyy too sweet!

Food was great this time! Good Friday was a celebration night and the food came out delicious and fresh. I had the ceviche tostada for $8 and it was fresh and delicious. Could have used a bit more salt. My friend had the brisket chili relleno OMG that was unbelievable!!! Look at the back page of the drink menu for the better and (cheaper) margaritas. The best one was a $15 Lalo margarita plain and simple! Fun karaoke night but man they need to turn that microphone down.. sometimes it's just brutal!

Let me just qualify this as I've been visiting Dos Salsas for 15+ years across all the various locations. What they cant seem to get right is the cook on steak fajitas. Even after returning it, it was still well done and we had no choice but to eat it as it felt pointless. The service is great and attentive and the Saturday night karaoke was a blast but buyer beware on fajitas.

I met a friend for dinner at Dos Salsa after working out. First time at this Tex-mex restaurant.... Like many restaurants it has embraced the Halloween theme. We shared a chicken fajita plate and had margaritas. The white meat chicken was uniquely flavored and tender. The fajita meal came with rice and beans . We subbed out the beans for roasted vegetables...perfectly cooked - not too hard nor too soft. The meal also came with tortillas along with sour cream, pica de gallo, guacamole, lettuce and cheese. Our server immediately took out order however only checked in once while we ate. Another server was very help to bring to go containers Overran good dining experience...

Dos Salsas is that big two-story Tex-Mex restaurant you always see driving past The Domain, and after living here for six years, I finally tried it. It's a family-owned spot with a 3 locations around the Austin area. The chips and salsa were decent, and I ordered the pollo en mole, which was not bad, though the chicken was a bit dry. My girlfriend ordered one of their specialty dishes which had cut up seasoned fajita beef with veggies. We both thought it was really good and well cooked. Portion sizes were huge, much bigger than I expected. The interior is large and spacious, with a stage that looks like it's used for live music at times. Service wasn't bad. Overall, it was a humble, solid experience, but I'm not sure if I'd go out of my way to come back!

I normally just go in for happy hours & drinks and occasionally I may have date night here and indulge in some food, but mostly for drinks. I must admitt that I'm secretly crushing on Hilda the bartender lol.. Izzy is a very cool person and she gets you taken care of.. overall the restaurant has a nice layout to it. There is a down stairs and upstairs sitting. A great place to take a date.

As the sign says, "No Ticket, No Taco!" so don't lose it. Seating is limited and the line can get long, but they move fast. And don't come expecting cheese or sour cream -- the only add‑ons here are cilantro, onions, salsa, and guacamole. It's a stripped‑down menu, and they stick to it. The tacos are solid. The beef isn't anything remarkable, but the chicken is tender, moist, and genuinely flavorful. The quesadilla is the sleeper hit; the baked cheese gives it a deep, savory punch that outshines the tacos. And if you're hungry or just want the best value, the burritos are enormous -- stuffed right up to the tortilla's structural limit. The onions and cilantro greatly balance each bite, while the salsa and guacamole are necessary and fundamental to tying the flavors together.. For our entrées, we had Brian's Alambre Plate, the Chicken Mole, and the Line Cook's Snack Plate. Brian's Alambre Plate combines sirloin, pork pastor, house-made chorizo, and bacon with peppers, onions, and melted Jack cheese. It was good and certainly offers plenty of variety and flavor. For my personal taste, though, if I am primarily craving meat, I prefer Eldorado's Carne Guisada. There is nothing wrong with the Alambre, I just think the Carne Guisada is the stronger choice for me. The Chicken Mole is my wife's favorite, and unfortunately it is only offered as a special late on Thursdays. The house-made mole has a rich, distinctive flavor that works very well with the chicken, and it is easy to understand why she looks forward to it. The Line Cook's Snack Plate was also a great combination with two flautas, a choice of Chicken Caldo or Texas Red, Eldorado rice, and guacamole salad. It is a nice option when you want a little bit of several things rather than one large entrée. Overall, another very enjoyable meal at Eldorado Cafe. Good food, plenty of variety, and enough different flavors on the menu that everyone can find a favorite. We certainly have ours!

We also got the Friday night special Saudero taco on the HOMEMADE buttery delicious flour tortilla. Again the steak pieces in there were fantastic. The regular picadillo crispy taco was probably the best I've ever had. Homemade deep fried thick shells. Margaritas were expensive and small, but done RIGHT. Sam made them by hand not from a mix. It's a good balance because the food is FAIRLY PRICED!!! I am completely spoiled now and probably will just come here from now on. Next it's time to taste those great looking enchiladas!!!

Somehow I'd never been despite living so close, so I was excited to finally check it off my list. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and their famous foyer is just as pretty in person as everyone says. I came with a friend, and we grabbed seats at the bar first while waiting, but I definitely recommend making reservations because this place is BUSY, even on a weeknight. Parking can also be a bit of a struggle since they have a pretty small lot. I had to make a few laps before I finally found a spot, so definitely give yourself a little extra time. They do offer valet, and I believe you may also be able to park in the lot next door after hours since it's their sister restaurant, but don't quote me on that haha. Their margaritas are also really good and definitely on the stronger side, so they were a great way to start the meal. The staff here was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night. They even walked us to our table and later showed me where the bathroom was, which I thought was a really nice touch. As for the food, it definitely lives up to the hype. It's on the pricier side, but everything tasted incredibly fresh and was well worth it. We ordered the enchiladas, which were delicious, and the shrimp was probably my favorite part of the meal because it was so fresh and perfectly cooked. I can definitely see why this restaurant has been around for so long and has such a loyal following. It took me way too long to finally come here, but I'll definitely be back. One thing I'm noticing as we do these is that you often write reviews that are genuinely useful--not just "food good/bad." You include things like reservations, parking, what to order, or where to sit. I think we should keep leaning into that because it feels very authentic to your style and makes your reviews stand out.
