Wanted to get back on here since we've frequented this place a bit since they first open. Let me start out by saying the family that owns this place is super sweet always happy and the convenience of being so close to our house goes into the stars review; as well as there aren't very many choices of true sit down restaurants in Melissa. Honestly it should be a 3 star review; but I wanted to be generous. Still love the open concept here. Waitstaff is always very friendly. Food comes out on time, price points are great. Our family does come here when we're craving Asian food and do not feel like leaving Melissa. Food still is 3/5 for me on most things and others are 5/5. Overall the grade of fish they have isn't the best, I only get cold appetizers or rolls if I do order sushi. Never nigiri or sashimi. It's gotta be mixed with something. If you eat nigiri at places like Sushi Nunu, Heian, Hannakin, etc. you understand what I mean. I do wish they had more Korean items on the menu. My favorite thing here honestly is the kimbap, kimchi, yummy crispy and ceviche salad. That's normally what we order. My kids like the kids chicken katsu. And my husband likes the crispy rice tuna. They offer a lunch Doshi Rock Box set that is a great value, normally I get the spicy pork. They really should offer something similar at dinner, slightly larger portions for a dinner price. We've tried a few entrees and ramen and still aren't impressed. The ramens are kinda generic with not much flavor. And the bulgogi and the spicy pork bulgogi are a tad "watered" down in flavor. My mom and I cook those often at home and have eaten them at many Korean restaurants, but here they taste as though the flavor is mellowed down. Not a huge fan of that. The kimbap and kimchi are truly the only two things that taste "true" to Korean flavors. I do wish they offered banchan when ordering the Korean meals.

Overall, the experience was positive. I didn't have much of an expectation for a sushi restaurant in Melissa, but the rolls were fine for what they were. Nothing stood out about the experience, but the kids didn't mind the food. The service was good. Though there were a few things on the menu, the boxes where you can try several different dishes for a set price, that apparently they don't have/serve yet. Saw another order ramen and that looked appetizing, so maybe we'll be back to try.

Food: Q - The fish was clean and juicy. It also had no bones. Would recommend. 5 stars Z - The tonkatsu ramen is good. 5 stars Mom - Green tea is an Ito En teabag. Yummy. Crispy rice with spicy tuna was a little too hard. Rolls seemed a bit on the smaller side compared to other places. 4 stars Service: Q - Really really really really really really really really really really nice servers. 5 starts Z - Really really good servers and service. 5 stars Mom - Wednesday night and it was a bit slow to get the food out. Servers though were really nice! 4 stars Ambiance: Q - Lighting is really nice and I like the modernness. 5 stars Z - Loud and I like the music. 4 stars Mom - pretty standard decorations for a Japanese restaurant but upbeat music. 4 stars

What a great find! I needed a break from heavy food, so hopped off the interstate to try Doshi - lovely people, great food, and superior value! My bulgogi lunch box was fabulous and my server, Hannah, was delightful.

What an amazing restaurant and dining experience to arrive in our small town of Melissa! Our family enjoyed dinner here last week and have already been back for a second time this week! :) Not only are the owners incredible people (genuinely kind, friendly, and personable), but the food is equally amazing! We tried the Pork Katsu Curry, Shrimp Crunch Roll, our son had the Kid's meal Chicken Katsu, and we finished with Tempura Cheesecake for dessert. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS, from temperature to texture/flavor, and truly made me feel like I was being transported back home. Our young son also cleaned his entire plate, and this is a rarity! The ambiance felt calm, comfortable, and relaxing, and the servers were very attentive without being overbearing. Needless to say, we will be regulars here! Thank you, Doshi! :)

Second time visiting. Both times have been exceptional. This time I had the spicy garlic edamame, spicy spring roll, and hulk roll( well I thought it was but I received a different roll and it was still good) I enjoyed all of it. I must say the spring roll can be difficult to pick up with chop sticks due to the wrapping. Overall this food is good and I look forward to trying other menu items. Oh and great service!

I noticed how all of the bad reviews spoke about how terrible the food was, but I also noticed how all of the good reviews spoke on how great the food was - so I was very torn on giving it a try. I can't speak for everything on the menu as I only had two of the items, but I can speak on how great the two items were. I ordered the spicy edamame as an appetizer and it was probably top 5 out of all the ones that I've ever had - though I will say that if you don't like spice, I wouldn't recommend because it definitely has a kick to it but nonetheless delicious. For my main entrée, I ordered the general tso chicken and while I was hesitant because I saw some of the bad reviews about this one I still decided to give it a try because it's one of my favorite entrées and let me just say it did not disappoint. It was full of flavor and had the perfect texture/crunch to it- the chicken tasted great and the sauce was phenomenal so I'm not too sure what the bad reviews were about. I will also add that I am very particular about the food that I eat (my poor bf having to deal with this lol), especially when it comes to chicken, so take my word when I say that this was a fantastic dish. My boyfriend also ordered an appetizer which I think was the chicken spring roll and then had the lo mein beef entrée(I believe) - both of which he enjoyed. I also want to add how big the portions were for the entrées, which was really nice because you can always take the rest home as leftovers and enjoy it as a second meal. Overall, I will be returning to this place of business and it's very unfortunate to read all of the bad reviews and know that I almost didn't give it a chance, but I'm really glad that I did. :) One more thing I wanted to add was how friendly the staff was in my interactions with them! Highly recommend and for those bad reviews - give it a second chance!!!

My bill is about $27 and that's fine because I'm the main character of the story and every grain of rice was worth it. Perfect place for a self-care day that I stumbled across. Oh and let me not forget my server, Ajah. She was so adorable and so kind. I just wanted to take her home and put her in my pocket and pull her out anytime I need to pick me up or Bestie to talk to. The food was beyond delicious and the service was beyond great 10 out of 10, but definitely come back again!!!

Wabi house is middle-tier ramen conveniently located near Frisco and Plano area business parks. The place was clean and trendy, with brisk yet warm service and tasty food. It's not the best ramen I've had in Dallas but it's a good middle of the road. It's also 25% cheaper than the best ramen in Dallas, so the resulting flavor quality is proportional. Tsukune - my friend got it. They loved it so much. Makes me want to try it next time! Okra bacon - very indulgent. Salty for me but I'm sensitive. My partner loved it. Togarashi helps a lot to cut the fat. 7/10 Ramen Broth - The tonkotsu is rich and creamy. The shoyu is deep and savory. 8/10 Egg - eggsquisite jam, 11/10 Noodles - tasty but not my favorite. I think the marrow crab was a little over hyped, it was still good and I am happy that we ordered it, but I don't think I'll order it again. The lamb chops were alright, a litttle more well-done than I am used to, but still pretty tasty. The tonkotsu ramen was above average and filling. The tsukemen was strange. This may be my own preference, but I was expecting the dipping broth to have a strong dashi flavor, but this was not the case. The dipping broth tasted like a slightly more concentrated version of the tonkotsu broth and felt very greasy. I would not recommend the tsukemen. The atmosphere was excellent. Both my partner and I loved the wood furnishing and felt quite comfortable despite the fact the restaurant was very busy. The service was outstanding, when we told the waitress that this was our first time here, she explained the full menu and gave a number of recommendations in each section.
