I had an afternoon move scheduled. Movers were late, then needed more time to eat lunch once they arrived, blaming the delay on their morning customers. Movers asked me if I had tools for removing a TV mount. I frequently saw them using my packing materials rather than using their own. I had to stop one of the movers while he was packing kitchen items. He was literally throwing all kinds of utensils and glass lids into a box without any order or protection. After I pointed this out, he proceeded to wrap every single cup and item in an absurd amount of plastic wrap (not foam or actual packing materials), taking an extremely long time. I requested floor protection for my new place ahead of time, which was confirmed by the company. Movers did nothing at all like this in the new place. There are scratches all over the wood floor of my new apartment, but at that point I was so exhausted and over dealing with everything that I just wanted them to finish loading everything in and leave asap. Since I scheduled my utilities to be transferred, the power was no longer working as the movers were still rushing to finish packing as the sun was setting. I was told by the company that the movers would use their professional expertise to determine how to pack framed art. They just threw everything in a box without any kind of padding. I went back to my previous apartment the next day and noticed there were a few small items that the movers had forgot to pack. I wanted to write this review sooner but whenever I sat down to write it I just felt exhausted. It's been a few months but I feel obliged to share my experience. Too many reviews on the internet seem falsely-incentivized. I would not recommend this company. read more

The movers were friendly and completed the job, but overall I was disappointed with the experience. They left the shrink wrap on my desk and nightstands so I had to take it off myself after - they just left with it still on some of my furniture (on desk, nightstands, and dresser). Also, one corner of my dresser was chipped during the move. What was especially frustrating was that after I expressed concern about the damage, there was still an uncomfortable expectation around tipping more. Like, I handed the cash over and he said "this is without tip" and proceeded to put the iPad in front of me for a tip. It didn't feel like I had a choice, it felt extremely uncomfortable. In addition, the move itself was very small and only took about two hours, yet I was required to pay for a three-hour minimum (I knew this, it was made clear, my point is why am I expected to tip a ton on-top of already paying for an unused hour I've paid them for). As mentioned, it made me very uncomfortable in the moment. Especially with my dresser that got chipped in the process. While the job was completed, I did not feel satisfied with the service overall and would not use this company again. I wish I could get some of my money back. Again, very nice guys, just being honest about my experience. read more

What I thought was going to be a quick move, turned into a much longer one! This moving company was able to roll with the punches. Not only did they pick up from 2 locations, but they problem solved brilliantly too get items through doorways and out of and into small spaces. Noah was very communicative and him and his partner moved everything from, start to finish including wrapping the furniture, moving out of my house into storage, while also including drive time, took them a little under 4 hours. I did a yelp project to see what moving companies were available. It came down to two and one of them was DoStar. I ended up choosing them because of their pricing and yelp reviews. I was immediately contacted after submitting my inquiry online. Leo was very detailed in providing me the breakdown of pricing and hours billed. I was also very clear to him on the bulky items, number of boxes and walking distance in my new location. Ali and Yera arrived 5 minutes before pickup time at 8am. They packaged my things within the hour, which included standard fridge, two couches, tv, tv stand, 7 big boxes, L-shape desk, 20 small containers, and about 10 misc bags that I ran out of boxes for. They were so professional that they had all the right tools to dissemble the bulky items. They both had great attitude throughout the whole time, even when needing to walk about 100 feet to and from the driveway numerous times in the August heat at 100 degrees. They finished the job at 1pm and I was pleasantly surprised at the cost! I would recommend their service and would consider them again in the future. read more

Heading into this move, I was worried about taking apart our bed frames and putting them back together. Mission Movers took care of it at no extra cost. But the biggest thing for me is how friendly and HONEST the team was. One of my dining chairs was already cracked before the move and they approached me and apologized for thinking they did it. That small gesture went a long way for me and I know they were going to find a solution even if it was their fault. They also could've charged me for a full 4 hours but charged me to the exact minute they worked at 3.75 hours. Not to mention it was also a really hot day and they powered through it without a single complaint. My wife and I have said several times that we don't know how we would've done it without Mission Movers. I know exactly who I'm hiring for any of my future moves. 10/10 experience! THE MOST AMAZING SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE!!! I had the HUGE task of moving from my old apartment in about a week. I thought I was going to go crazy while also hurting my back and body due to picking up and moving my belongings. Then, I thought of getting movers to help although I was hesitant at first as I've heard stories of some of them being unprofessional and damaging people's belongings. I went online and did my research and found DoStar Moving. Spoke to Dustin, he was very courteous and professional. Agreed on a date and time and we were set. After our call, Dustin followed up with an email where he explained everything we spoke about over the phone and let me know of the process and what to expect. I then received a confirmation text the evening prior to our scheduled date and then a phone call the day of to let us know they were on their way. Once Dustin and Tim arrived, they took care of everything. They had plenty of packing tape, blankets and moving plastic to ensure our belongings were damage free, in addition to dollies to help with big items. I honestly thought it was going to take way longer as we had plenty of things to move. To my surprise, they were very effective and fast. They NEVER complained of anything, always asked if everything was ok and if I had any questions or suggestions. Not a single thing was damaged or scratched. I would most DEFINITELY recommend them as they did an AWESOME job helping us move. VERY friendly and professional. I had to move last minute and was able to easily book with DoStar. they were so responsive with all my questions, never had an issue messaging or emailing them. once i was booked they told me their movers would contact me 30 minutes before scheduled moving time. i received a text and call exactly then. they came on time and immediately were so kind. true professionals, they assessed the area to figure out most efficient way to move and started working. they quickly and safely packed up my 1bedroom, living room, and kitchen. i was worried because i had a lot of big items but they took care of it easily. i was on the second floor so they moved everything down quick. then they had to move it up two floors to the third. i felt so bad because they had to go up and down the stairs multiple time but they never complained and even said no problem! they both were very attentive and every time i moved something they wanted to help. they were also very polite, alway saying please. im very happy with the service they provided. they worked very hard and i wanted to make sure they were fed, hydrated, and tipped well for all their help the total for the 6 hours of labor intensive work they did was very affordable. i never used moving services in the past because i was worried of the cost but i will be back for DoStar's moving service!! read more

UPDATE: So enough time has passed for me to be honest about this review, it was pretty weird that the movers (who were nice guys) wouldn't leave until they took a picture with me and saw me type out a 5 star review on Yelp. They said something like "sorry, boss wants us to do this" They stood and watched me type out the whole "good service 5 stars" review on yelp and attach the picture to it. Then they were like ok cool and left. I get that it was coming from their boss, still weird. The actual moving was pretty solid. They wrapped a lot of stuff up as is and delivered it up an elevator and placed it where I wanted it in the room. However I really didn't appreciate that they obviously were making a full 8 hour day out of it. The company tells you they have no timeframe but the movers conveniently dragged their feet for the first half of the move and started rushing when approaching the 8 hour mark. It wasnt a house or anything, just one 2 bedroom apartment to another 2 bedroom apartment. So, expect a full 8 hour day and to pay accordingly. Again, the move was solid. BUT Because of the obvious push to make this a full work day, and the strange "we're not leaving until you leave a 5 star review" thing, 3 stars. I'd probably go somewhere else, I don't really trust movers from Yelp now. read more

I would absolutely recommend DoStar Moving. The mover we had lined up cancelled at the last minute (literally two days before our scheduled move). I was referred to DoStar by a friend and they exceeded our expectations. They were available on short notice and we had a fantastic team, Chris, Arni and Jose. They were amazing. All our furnishings were carefully wrapped and loaded onto their 26' moving truck which arrived with all the necessary moving accessories, such as blankets, plastic wrap, wardrobe boxes, dollies, etc., all included at no additional charge. The most outstanding aspect of this move was the exceptional 'can do with pleasure' attitude of our moving team. Whether it was hour 1 or hour 11, our team always had a smile on their face and seemingly endless energy to lift and load even the heaviest of furnishings. This is the second time in a row I have used DoStar to help me move and will continue to highly recommend these guys. Daulet (David) and Kali were great! I had very fragile dining ware (wine glasses w/ stem, plates, etc.) that they packed for me and got 100% of my stuff across safely. Not only did they move everything safely, but they did it extremely fast. My condo was on the top floor of a large building with a relatively small elevator. David and team made transporting all of my furniture look easy (including a large couch that took me quite some time and a lot of thought to move when I did it myself)! In addition, my prior condo was 3 stories, with a few flights stairs. They moved items up and down the stairs seamlessly and again, all very safely/quickly. The amount of care they put into moving all of our furniture (wrapped carefully, surrounded by blankets, etc.) was top-notch. One small item (pillow to my deskchair) got left behind in the truck and David personally drove and brought the item back next day in perfect condition. I found this moving company here on Yelp and really glad I did. I was moving from an apartment to a house and Bolat and Samat were the best movers! They arrived perfectly on time with a box truck and all necessary moving supplies. They made the process go so smoothly, helped me with taping up boxes to ensure they were secure, wrapped and padded all of my fragile items, and were also very friendly and efficient. They also helped by removing my tv from the wall and disassembling my bed frame. Once we got everything to my new house, they were also super helpful at putting everything where I needed it to go and removing all the wrapping from my furniture too. DoStar really saved me! I unexpectedly had to move a lot of stuff in a short amount of time. It's a super hot day and my move was up 4 flights of stairs with no elevator. Brutal. These guys came in and packaged everything so quickly and got it loaded just as fast. They were super kind and knowledgeable on how to get even my fragile things from point A to point B with no struggle. I really applaud them for taking my huge couch up 4 flights of stairs with no air conditioning on a super hot day. I would recommend them to anyone. And the price is a freakin steal considering you don't have to do it yourself. My roommates movers were more expensive, less professional and left scratches on our door. These guys are awesome!! We recently moved and DoStar did the job for us! They were quick to respond to my inquiry, were able to make changes to my schedule, quick and efficient in moving all our boxes and furniture into the truck and didn't waste any time. They didn't even take a break! These guys work really hard to make sure that your personal belongings are taken care of and carefully moved from one place to the next. We moved into an apartment on the second floor and they did it with so much ease, I was very impressed. If you ever need to hire movers, hire these guys. They don't waste time standing around and will get the job done the right way so it doesn't need to be done again. I'm definitely gonna hire them if I have to move again. read more

Couldn't have had a better experience!!!! Dustin was so kind and helpful from the moment I called. We immediately set up a convenient time, great price, and had a contract in my inbox in a flash! Two movers showed up on time and never stopped working diligently and pleasantly the entire time. They had a huge truck and all the the boxes, tarps, and packing supplies you could ask for. The price was amazing, the service was great, and I couldn't be more pleased! They even offered to put the bed together without me asking. Their attention to detail was very much appreciated and not what I have experienced in the past. I am a home stager and they will be my go to movers from now on! No doubt about it! Dustin and Arni were incredibly professional and seamless movers. Didn't have to worry about a thing with them - they came prepared with boxes, tape, wrapping, blankets, etc. and got to work immediately. They packed, moved, and unpacked everything in just under 5 hours (2 bed 2 bath apartment to a four-level townhome). No damage on any of our items, they were fast and efficient, and not a single complaint about moving heavy items up several flights stairs even though we were their third client that day. Extremely impressed with the level of service we got, and at a price that is far cheaper than any of its competitors. Glad we went with DoStar and highly recommend it instead of overpaying for questionable service anywhere else! read more

The guys from DoStar Moving were amazing from start to finish. By start, I'm talking about the quote process, before the actual move: everything was smooth and easy. Dustin and his team were completely efficient, polite, hard-working and most importantly, on-time. This was my first time hiring a moving company, so I didn't even know what to expect. We had an exceptional experience with DoStar Moving. Scheduling was a breeze and Leo was very quick to respond and answer questions - they even accommodated a scheduling change at the last minute to make things easier for me. Era and Abil were our two movers. They were punctual, hard-working, respectful, and professional. They made light work of our apartment (including stairs) and had us set up in our new home in no time. The price was affordable, and they worked hard to finish the work quickly while still taking good care of my things. Dustin and Nick did an absolutely amazing job helping me move! It was very easy to contact them, set everything up and start the process. They had extra things like wardrobe boxes and packing tape to make the move so easy. Their availability was great and they actually helped me move the same day I contacted them. I didn't have to lift a finger and they were very nice and professional throughout the whole process. The pricing is great and they only have 2 hour minimum while other companies have 3 so I didn't have to worry about money or pricing. This was my first time with movers and I couldn't of had a better experience thanks to Dustin and Nick. Highly recommend to anyone looking for movers! read more
