I found some excellent Bar B Q in Wisconsin....Milwaukee to be exact. I had dinner at Double B's recently and it was a very satisfying visit. It's open Tuesday-Saturday for lunch and dinner. Parking is on the street and is free for 2 hours which is plenty of time to dine here. It's nice inside and has a full bar. I ordered the Smokehouse Half Chicken platter for $18. It came with cole slaw, cornbread and one of their side dishes. I chose the Smokehouse Beans and it took about 10 minutes for the meal to arrive. While I waited I checked out the 4 sauces that were on the table and liked the KC mild the best. When the food arrived I noticed the large 1/2 chicken and the sides. The chicken was juicy and delicious with a smokey flavor. Paired with the KC mild sauce, it was yummy (4). Yes, their chicken is very good but it was the side dishes that really impressed me. The beans were rich in flavor and savory. Perfect (5). The cole slaw was creamy and smooth tasting making an excellent palate cleanser (5). The cornbread was soft and warm with that original cornmeal aroma (5). And finally, I ate the 2 pickle slices added on the plate. Fresh tasting with a firm texture and perfect flavor (5). The table service by Maxie was friendly and efficient. I wish I could have had one more meal here to test other menu items before giving this score. My experience has found that many bar b q restaurants prepare very good meats but it's their side dishes that make some of them stand out. The chicken was very good and I would order it again but the side dishes really impressed me. Even the pickles! For those reasons, I give Double B's a 5 score. This is as good as it gets.

Didn't take me and my colleague Long to get seated for 2 which was nice considering everything else was a 10 to 15 minute wait. There are two menus there's the menu that you get when you sit down and then there's an another menu on the wall that has their specials and dessert on so be sure to look at that. I ended up getting their peach cobbler and it was top-tier. For an entrée I got Burnt ends, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and a corn muffin and that corn muffin was the best one I've ever had. As far as the atmosphere goes it wasn't too loud but it was very busy so it was not quiet. They have a lot of neat decor. It was one of the nicest barbecue places I've been to.

We went to a Yelp event prior and my husband was unable to attend so we finally made it to visit the restaurant for a meal. There were 5 of us. We started with our drinks: Wisconsin Old Fashioned, water, Shirley Temple, Root Beer and water. Then we ordered our meals: Brisket Burnt Ends with cornbread, coleslaw and baked beans, 1/2 lb Angus Cheeseburger with bacon and cornbread, 1/2 lb Agus Burger with fries, Sliced Brisket with cornbread, coleslaw and mac n cheese and last, Pull Chicken Sandwich only mayo and ketchup and fries. Not one person had anything bad to say and we all ate well. The portion size was perfect and the presentation was good as well. The flavor was so savory and the sauces on the table we perfect to allow us to try one or all. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Our food was served hot. Oh, and we can't forget about the second Wisconsin Old Fashioned. Plus the to-go orders. 4 double orders of cornbread and 2 orders of Smoked Bacon Balls. There is a full bar and plenty of seating. The ambiance is nice, inviting. A little darker, relaxing.

WOW! My wife had been trying to get me here for quite some time and we final went on Saturday (02/28/2026). Hands down the BEST cornbread I've had! But don't get that mistaken I ordered and enjoyed the Brisket Burnt Ends with mac and cheese. When it was served I got the baked beans instead. Even as they also brought out the mac and cheese after I am not complaining because those were one of the best beans I've had a well. There was nothing on my plate that I didn't enjoy. The pickles were good as well. I also tried my wife's sliced brisket and that was delicious as well. She enjoyed it so much she only shared a bite lol. Our server was attentive and fast. Our food was served hot and the presentation looked great. We even ordered some food to go. We cannot forget about the Wisconsin Old Fashioned. My wife knows I really liked these and told me I really need to get one, so I did, twice. Good stuff!! The restaurant seems inviting with a full bar and plants everywhere. It's rare to see that, great look.

Our work place catered food from Double B's, the food was so good my husband and I decided to stop by the restaurant and try the food there. We got seated right away, the service and drinks were good! The decor is beautiful I love all the greenery. Food is delicious 10/10 everything on my place was good, the pulled pork, Mac and cheese, cole slaw and my favorite the corn bread! Definitely recommend to try it.

Tried Double B's for the first time with friends and it did not disappoint! We made a reservation for a Thursday night. I enjoyed my cocktail (Gin sour) and liked the unique options they offered for cocktails. I tried the pulled pork and sweet potato fries which were so good! The platter comes with coleslaw and corn bread (definitely recommend trying the cornbread- it was my favorite). I liked they had 4 different bbq options at the table so I didn't have to choose just one! Would definitely recommend trying out if you are looking for a flavorful, classic BBQ meal!

I have enjoyed Double B's over the years; at work events, at a wedding, and for pick up. I finally ate at the restaurant for the first time! It's a cute little place and I enjoyed my dining experience. Our server was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious, as always. I'm not a big bbq person but when I do crave it, this is exactly what I want. I'm such a sucker for all of the sides. Best mashed potatoes I've ever had. Fantastic Mac and cheese and so so yummy corn bread muffins. When we dined in we tried the brisket queso, pulled pork, more brisket, beans, Mac, potatoes, and corn bread. I also love all the sauces, with the vinegar one being my favorite.

Been here a long time ago, and more recently attended an event where the food was catered by Double B's. It was amazingly good, so we decided to come back to the restaurant. Food: The food was just as good as what we had at the catered event. To start, we ordered a couple of the specialty cocktails. I had the Fireside Old Fashioned with cranberry juice and cinnamon, and my partner ordered the hot Maple Cider. Both were perfect for a very cold night. For food, I ordered the Burnt Ends appetizer. It's served on Texas toast and came with a generous portion of meat. There was just a little bit of sauce on it, which made it easy to really explore the four different sauces they offer. I especially enjoyed the Carolina sauce, which is mustard based rather than ketchup based. The KC mild, which is more traditional, was my second favorite. Honestly, all four were good. My partner ordered the Brisket Sandwich. It came out hot, tender, flavorful, and was a very good portion. What was super yummy, was the side of mashed potatoes. There were smooth, rich, creamy, with a few chunks. After all that food, we still wanted to try a piece of the Peanut Butter Pie. Rich peanut butter mouse, with a chocolate ganache. Great way to end the meal. Service: I don't know if this was just an off night, but the service was very disappointing. The restaurant was less than half full. We were seated right away, but then waited nearly ten minutes before our server came by to acknowledge us. From what we could tell, she did not seem overly busy with other tables. Once we finally got water, we became concerned about how long the meal might take, so we ordered both drinks and food at the same time. The food came out fairly quickly, but our drinks did not. She apologized and brought them out shortly afterward. The meal itself was excellent, and we wanted to order dessert, but again had to wait for the server. After dessert, we had to wait yet again. You can see into the kitchen area, and at one point she appeared to be busy organizing condiment bottles. We also noticed other tables starting to look impatient with the service. Atmosphere: It's not a very large space, but it has a nice, casual feel. There is a foyer at the entrance, so you don't get hit with cold air when people come in and out. Seating options include tables for different size groups, as well as upholstered couches that can be configured in various ways. There is also a bar that is separated from the main dining area, though you can eat there as well. I love the food and the atmosphere, and I would come back again. I would just hope for a much better service experience next time.

The absolute truth! Everything about this experience was top notch! Visited with a group of ten on a Friday night and everyone was hospitable and helpful. Drinks were amazing- smoked Manhattan was to die for. Food was very strong - my brisket was good, my pals smoked sausage and pulled ham was special! All the sides were delicious, return visit forthcoming very soon!!!

Smoked turkey and the sauce reminded me of like a creamy balsamic bbq sauce.

Second time here and it's officially a must-stop when we're in town from California. Gorgeous decor, super friendly staff, and food that absolutely delivers. Burnt ends on Texas toast = . Homemade lemonade? Best I've ever had (I had three!). Brisket, smoked turkey, kielbasa, and ribs were all tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sauces were spot-on, the slaw was fresh, the cornbread had the ideal sweet-savory balance, and the mac & cheese was creamy perfection. Everything was amazing--we'll definitely be back!

This place was packed and I can see why. Service was nice and quick getting our drinks and order. The Server was very knowledgeable about the different barbecue sauces., and what to recommend from the menu.. the beef brisket was amazing. The cornbread was like a slice of cake.. the macaroni and cheese was nice and creamy.. an overall great meal. This place is one of the best restaurants for barbecue.... I will definitely be back for more.... Give this place a try.....it's definitely worth it

We had reservations for a group of eleven people for lunch. Only two of our group had been there before, but by the time we left everyone wanted to return again. Service was good, and everyone was pleased with their food choices.

Double B's in West Allis was a great experience. I would make sure to have a reservation for the weekend m, it gets busy! We ordered the chicken and brisket--both were really good and full of flavor. The service was pretty solid too; it was a busy night, so we didn't get a ton of attention, but everyone was still friendly and helpful. Overall, it's a great place, and we're already looking forward to going back.

We ordered the bulgogi, steak cubes, pork belly, spicy pork belly, beef tongue, rib meat, shrimp, creamy corn, fried buns, and a few other smaller items. The meat was all good quality! Our tables' favorite meat was the bulgogi for sure. We also loved the creamy corn and fried buns. However, beef tongue was so tough though I couldn't even bite into it (but honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy it!). The sauce bar was a fun touch to get exactly what we each liked. It was a little tricky being in a booth and getting people out to make their sauce combos though but we made it work. There is also a dessert bar but nothing was super intriguing to us and we were pretty full from the meal. The only downside was the service. Other servers seemed awesome but our waitress was totally aloof. She missed multiple orders of ours and we had to reorder those, and she acted super confused each time we had to tell her. She didn't give any direction on the process, and each time we wanted to add to the order we had to wave her down. I don't think she proactively checked on us once. A table nearby had the hotpot and that looked really good. We were intrigued and want to come back and try it. All in all, a great experience, and $31 per person for the amount of food you can rack up felt like a really good deal.

Plenty of space for parking in the back. Dark, smoky atmosphere with Asian interior designs. Perfect ambiance for BBQ! We had both Korean BBQ & hot pot, absolutely worth the price for both. The BBQ was by far everyone's favorite. We recommend the beef bulgogi, beef short ribs, and pork belly--these were the best for BBQ. Since it was all you can eat, we had a few servings of them. There was also a counter for different types of sauce one could get and a dessert section. The hot pot was great as well. We recommend the bone broth and the fish/shrimp/meatballs with it as well as udon noodles. The service was great overall. Our server was busy, but she managed to be attentive with us. We left with our belly full. We will absolutely come back.

Well I'm definitely doing the rib tips but it was too early because they just went on the grill, see my pictures so I would have to stop back later in the day. 3 hours went by so I went back and asked if he still had some rib tips left and he said yes so I'm down with that. He is there Tuesday to Saturday 10:30 to 4pm he says. The rib tips looked amazing on the grill and I took a picture so you could see the before and after pictures of the cooked rib rips. I ordered the meat only for $10 because the sides didn't interest at all and did my car smell so good so I pulled over because I couldn't wait to try them. The rib tips had a nice looking bark that was seasoned nicely and tasty I thought. The rib meat had that little chew that I like because I don't like the mush fall off the bone meat. The rib tips were meaty and not all cartilage with most of the meat chopped off like some places. The meat was very tasty with that bark and a deep grilled flavor that I really liked, like a backyard bbq. I really like that he uses charcoal to cook his food because it's so hard to find places that cook with charcoal anymore and he seems like a like a really nice guy and he let me take my pictures which helps his business. I didn't even use the bbq sauce because the meat stands on its own by the way. There is no bbq in the immediate area that I can think of so this is a nice addition to the neighborhood if your looking for some tasty rib tips here you go. I would definitely go back for some rib tips again because as much as I like ribs I do like doing tips from time to time.
