My friend told me to check out Salar's barber shop called Double Image, and I have to say, it was an excellent experience. From the moment I walked in, you can feel it's a friendly atmosphere. The barber was professional, attentive, and took the time to listen to my needs and preferences which means a lot as not many do that. It's only $20 for a haircut so it's definitely worth it especially with his experience. The haircut itself was top-notch. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he executed it perfectly. The barber took great care to ensure that every strand was trimmed perfectly and that the cut/fade I asked for was exactly what I wanted. My barbershop that I usually go to closes at 3pm on Sundays so I searched for the nearest one to my house and Double Image Barber Shop was the only one that was the closest and the only one that was opened until 7 pm. I gave this place a call and the barber, Salar, told me to come in and he'll take care of me. I drove there and walked in. I was welcomed by the barber himself and told me that two customers were before me. I didn't really care as long as I got a haircut today! While I was observing this shop, I noticed this barbershop is being operated by one person and that is Salar. I give this guy credit for being a barber, and doing all the side duties besides cutting somebody's hair; taking payment, cleaning and sweeping the floor, and etc! We exchanged a good conversation and he is a very good guy and barber. He really makes sure you are satisfied with his work. Also, inexpensive compared to the current rates barbers are charging! Needed a quick haircut. Been having my brother cut my hair for like the past 15 years and nobody else but he wasn't available so I had to try something new. Had to admit, when I walked in and seen someone that wasn't black, I was hesitant. But there was 2 guys in front of me and he shaped them up real nice. Way more than impressed, hell yeah cut my hair!!! In and out and he was hella smooth. Sharp! I found my new barber, sorry bro but not only this dude is nice and efficient, can't beat the price! We went in the day before school started and showed the barber a picture of what my son wanted. The barber said it would be no problem. Barber then chopped my son's hair WAY too short, rendering the style he wanted impossible. The good news is that my son's hair grows really fast do hopefully he'll have what he wanted fairly soon, however he was so happy to finally start back to school in-person to see his friends and is now not happy about doing it with this haircut. We walked out after watching the only barber there chopping up an 8 year old's hair. The barber didn't really appear to know what he was doing. I understand they the newbies need to learn by practicing but he should have never been left alone if he didn't know what he was doing. read more

I had a local barber that kept raising the prices on me and his schedule kept getting more and more limited. I got fed up and went looking for a new barber and stumbled on this place. There can be a slight wait because it's only one barber but for the quality of the haircut and the price you simply can't beat it. My best advice is to avoid high foot traffic hours, other than that on average it's one to two people ahead of you when you walk in. read more

This is the best barber shop I have been in. I was looking for a barber who I can trust for my little cousins because they are so picky! The barber name Sam is so talented! Saalar, is an amazing barber he is always freindly and very courteous, he has been her for a while me and my step-son been getting our haircut and cleaned up here for a while now and he is amazing he takes his time making sure you get exactly what you asked for. He does first come first serve, which makes it fair for everyone. waiting one or two people is totally worth it. I get lined up and straight razor as well same as step-son he is absolutely the best we will only come here to get our haircut. This is definitely the best "bang for your buck" barber shop. Salaam is a great barber, I was traveling approx 20 min to National City for three haircuts at 12 dollars a piece plus tip and today I decided to take my crew to this barber well I was pleasantly surprised I was able to even grab my favorite hairgel, 3 haircuts and tip all for less than my favorite barbers at National City. Awesome barber!! I have known Salar from many years now. I have tried plenty of shops in el cajon but this is still my favorite. I go here every week and never leave unsatisfied.
