Garlic Burger and Crispy Onion Curls

I love a good smash burger, and this place definitely hit the spot! They have quite a few different options.. I got their garlic burger, which was a single patty smash with garlic aioli. I also got the onion crisps, and they were a perfect pair with this burger! Good service, and it was quick. They offer outdoor seating, which is perfect for a nice Seattle day!

This is a cool burger window spot in the heart of Cap Hill. The burger was smash style, Lacey edges, tasty beef flavor. The burger comes together with the cheese, crispy onions, aioli, and pickles. Overall a great burger. It's not a 5, but damm good. The crispy fries were perfect. They were crisp and had awesome potato flavor. Overall, tasty burgers and good prices.

I swear this place showed up out of nowhere! And I have already been 3 times.. It is good, if you like a messy, yummy, and quick burger, go check them out. A few things first.. they're no frills. All of these reviews I am seeing are mentioning a lack of flavor. Yes! You ordered a burger with just grilled onions on it and some American cheese. The key here is to add things to your burger. The base price is $6.50 I believe, which is the cheapest deal around! Add pickles add ranch, boom, still only $8 and 1 burger is more than enough food. These are huge for the price you pay. The guy at the window is very nice and patient. He recommended I try the Garlic Aioli and it blew my socks off. Very very garlicky and thick, which made me a huge fan. The ranch is good too, it has a lighter flavor but almost tastes sour cream based, its second best to the garlic aioli. Outdoor seating is a very casual bench vibe, I usually just take my meal home but it seems like many people sit and enjoy their meal outside. I will say, I have been here 3 times in 2 weeks and tonight they gave me fries that were cut completely different, and I didn't love them as much as the crinkle fries they served me the past 2 visits. @ the business owner of Double O' Burgers please keep the crinkle fries!! There is nowhere in Capitol Hill with crinkle fries that good. I was bummed tonight when I got home and opened my white paper bag to the "standard" cut French fries.. I will still be coming back. Hopefully there will be crinkle fries...

The service was quite fast and pretty well packaged. There's no real ambiance to speak of as it's a take out window. If you do want seating you need to go upstairs and buy a drink from the Mexican place. The burgers were mostly just ok. They don't have any vegan options as a heads up. The fries and queso were pretty good though.

Double Take ( ) I was on my way to a nearby business when I saw the glowing lights of Double O' Burgers-- I almost made an abrupt u-turn but decided to delay my curiosity. 30 minutes later I'm maneuvering the senseless road revisions to get back to that burger place I just saw on the corner! Greeted by two happy faces as they hand formed the day's patties, I began to peruse the digital menu. Once I felt confident with my understanding of Double O' Goop, I placed an order for a double smash burger, without the grilled onions. I waited in their small outdoor seating area and marveled at a mural of a margarita, that lead to a rooftop, that I had never heard of, that is now closed because it too cold-- I digress. My burger was ready in about 5 minutes and was almost too hot to handle!! I like to get a "fresh food" bite before I drive home and I could barely hold on to it!! AND THAT'S A GOOD THING!! Why not 5? Parking is bonkers-- granted it's set smack dab in the middle of Broadway and Downtown; it goes with the territory. I'm not a fan of the Hawaiian roll as a bun-- it adds a sweetness I don't prefer however, it does not take away from the deliciousness of this burger. As such, I've been again and again and would highly recommend.

I got a double patty burger. The flavor was good but messy. I've yet to eat a smash burger that is not messy. It may just be the nature of it but I hate having sauce on my hands. I'm not a big fan of smash burger but this was the best I've tried so far. I just wish there was some veg because it can feel a little heavy.

The restaurant itself leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm not asking too much. I believe the owner said he was trying to revamp the place. I hope that the area comes alive in the future years, that should help. Here's the issue though, this is the slowest spot ever. I've waited 30 minutes for fries - FRIES. I don't mind waiting for food, but it should remain reasonable. There were only two or three people working, and one man did tell us this, but I need to be honest - this was on Super Bowl Sunday. No one was able to get anyone a beer from the tap for 40 minutes, the food took forever and it appeared that online orders were being prioritized (which makes sense, you make as you get orders coming in, but that puts your in person customers in an odd and sometimes frustrating position). To be honest, I probably wouldn't have minded as much if I just had some fries to snack on. I didn't mind as much this one time because I was just happy to find a place to watch the Super Bowl Half Time show, but other days, it's a little hard to look past. I wish this business the best, I live too close to not hope for its improvement! Looking forward to updating my review. At the end of the day, if you're hungry, it's late, this is your spot.

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

It's not my favorite Hawaiian by any stretch, but it definitely does the job for visitors to the food hall. Since the seating can be a little limited at lunch time, the first challenge is just simply finding a spot to sit. Avoiding the peak lunch hour is recommended, but this probably be better if traveling in a group. When in doubt, take it to-go. Teriyaki chicken ($14) is one of their most popular dishes and an obvious nod to Seattle's thriving scene. Their katsu loco moco ($16) is hearty with the gravy, but sometimes a bit too heavy with the green onions. Personally, I'm a fan of the kalua pork ($13.50) and the spam and eggs ($11.50), but the garlic shrimp ($18) was a bit lackluster. They also serve burgers, which are actually a bit underrated. Their double cheeseburger ($11) features nice size patties with a goop of American cheese. The musubi is nearly $4 each, but are also mini-bricks of spam and rice. Lastly, it doesn't take much to realize the prices might feel a bit high here. They're even higher on the website, which i would recommend using for most folks, but recently I noticed various selections are listed for hundreds of dollars each. Unless this is a catering order, it's just another example of another oversight. ____________ (#1) Uwajimaya is dope: https://www.yelp.com/biz/uwajimaya-seattle

They have a good handful of burger varieties on their regular menu, as well as an option for vegetarians to get an impossible patty (they do not make their own veg patty unfortunately). They also have a happy hour menu which is posted up in the restaurant and goes from 2-5. I don't see that info on their website, so keep that in mind! The HH burger prices are a considerable deal. I had a lao burger and a small order of fries, which came out pretty quickly. The small fries ($5) are actually pretty generous, and probably could've been shared. Fries are super crispy and perfectly seasoned. The lao burger ($18) is hefty, with lots of variety of texture and flavor. Still satisfies that burger craving while being creative. It does slide around a lot, which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine with any burger or sandwich, and you really have to work hard to keep everything from sliding out the back. Prices are pretty average for the neighborhood, aka not crazy but definitely more than what you'd pay for similar in other parts of Seattle.
