Was an early morning, a couple weeks ago, slightly overcast and wanted to place for a good cup of coffee with a friend who was visiting. Came on to this place, which was just down the block and came in the staff were friendly who was used to order and I ordered everything bagel with butter in a smooth espresso and vanilla latte. The service was prompt quick in the outdoor dining in the back area and the luscious guard was the best part of the whole adventure. This is an area that's well loved by the community and there's always a nice group of people socializing in the front in the back area is quite a fine, so I'll be going back here again for sure.

Came here because I saw the cute pictures of the patio online and wanted to check it out! The interior was very cute and service was fairly quick - there was a line forming but I got my order in a couple minutes. I ordered a lox bagel, breakfast croissant with bacon, toasted marshmallow latte, and matcha latte. After getting my food, I wandered to the back and it was GORGEOUS!! I could definitely see myself just sitting here with my kindle and reading for a little bit haha. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to sit and chill since I had some other plans for the rest of the day, but I would definitely come back whenever I decide to have a slow morning!

Been coming to this place for about a year, it's about time I show some love. Great staff, great food, , fresh juices & great prices! I used to only come for coffee . Then started trying more of their menu little by little. Now this is officially my "spot" Mon-Fri. My breakfast go to if the breakfast bagel but I sub the chorizo out for either turkey or pastrami, no up charge. Or if I'm feeling healthy I'll go for their fresh Green Detox juice. They remolded the back, go back there and relax on your lunch break or meeting . Super chill and cozy. Love this spot.

Double Shot Coffee is a cute neighborhood shop that offers juices and Java and smoothies and teas along w/ breakfast pastries of sorts. We were looking for a place just before a quick conference @theJewishHome. We ordered some tea milk lattes and the baristas delivered. Steamed almond milk and an early grey for me and steamed whole milk w/ 2 breakfast tea bags for boss. Easy peasy and we were off for conferencing. The ladies working behind the counter were extremely nice and accommodating. What a great find in the old hood!

Double Shot has updated their backyard and interior I can't wait to have a private celebration there.

I love a good neighborhood coffee shop and this place stays consistently good! It is clean, fast and the music playlist is pretty lit specially in the morning.

Sandwiches are bomb and fresh! The woman who makes them is so pleasant and such a hard worker. That Dutch crunch bread is phenomenal!

Like everywhere else in SF, you have to pay for street parking but it's free after 6pm! The vibes inside are of a typical coffee shop and there is a good amount of tables and seats! The barista makes each drink one at a time, so it could take a while to order and get your drinks, but it just shows that they are very intentional with their drinks! I was super excited to find out that Ballast Coffee is actually a Filipino coffee shop that serves Barako Coffee, which I believe they source from the Philippines. They also sell barako bean roast blends for $20 in case you wanted to make it at home! Since they use Filipino barako beans, I had to order their Ube iced latte and Ube hot chocolate! The coffee had a slightly fruity yet chocolatey undertone that made it really delicious with the Ube! I do think that the coffee had a lighter taste to it, so it let the ube taste stand out more. My favorite was the Ube hot chocolate because it was super decadent and warming! I'll definitely be back at Ballast Coffee to study more and to also try their Ube Mocha as well as other drinks!

The empanada wasn't heated long enough and the inside was still a bit cold. There were cubes of beef inside but I didn't think it had enough seasoning. Wouldn't order the beef empanada again. It's a nice place to meet with a friend or two and have coffee and a conversation if you ca. get table seating not occupied by people with their PCs for hours.

It was the perfect pick-me-up: smooth, rich, and just the right strength to wake me up and get me back on track. The shop has a great vibe, and the service was quick, which I really appreciated. If you're in the neighborhood and need a high-quality caffeine fix or a spot to recharge, this is definitely the place to go. I'll be back to try the milk tea next time! It is a small, cozy, and clean shop. The inclusion of a small sofa adds a nice touch, making it a comfortable spot to tuck away and enjoy a drink. The service is professional, though it's important to note that during busy hours, there is often only one person crafting the drinks. A little patience goes a long way here. If you are after a premium milk tea experience at a reasonable price, YY Coffee & Tea is well worth the visit--especially for that Crème Brûlée Boba. While the avocado smoothie could use a bit more creaminess and less ice, the overall quality and professional service make this a local spot worth supporting. Perfect for a quiet tea break!
