Cool coffee place! It's a pretty new cafe so I definitely wanted to try it out. Customer service was great' They were helpful and kind. I ordered a lavender latte with coconut milk for about $5 which makes sense because it's SF. The presentation was super cute and I think they put lavender leaves or seeds or something on top. The lavender was a syrup which I'm slowly realizing is what most cafes use when they make lavender drinks. It was the old reliable Torani kind and it had a lovely flavor! I didn't love the coconut milk but that's my fault for ordering that. I think I wanted to be trendy but i should have just gotten actual milk... You would like it if you like coconut! :) The wifi was reliable, the atmosphere was cute, enough space for people to meet up and study (they had outlets). I'll have to come back again! read more

Cute small place. Decent prices. But this is the 2nd time I come in and they can't seem to get my sandwich order correct. The first time I didn't check it and I got to work and had no choice but to eat what they gave me. This time I checked it before leaving and it was wrong. I asked them to fix it and they did, no questions asked. They gave me a second sandwich and it was still wrong. Im limited on time so I'll just remove what I don't want. I asked for French roll, mayo, ham, lettuce, cucumbers and onions. Not too difficult. I even told them in Spanish so i know it wasn't a language issue. There's only two ladies running the place. I came here a few times the inside is really nice and they have options with coffee. My bf and I were excited to order. First time I ordered was a Latte and it was ok but i wanted to give it another chance. Kept coming a few more times hoping the coffee would be better. Some days coffee was good and sometimes coffee was not great at all. You can only taste the milk. But what made the experience worse was the customer service. I come here in the mornings before work with my bf. The women has an attitude or is to serious. She hardly ever says hi or good morning she just stares waiting for you to order and when the coffee is ready she just places it there for you to pick up doesn't even let you know its ready or that its your. This last time she made me and my bf feel super uncomfortable and that was it for me. This place has lots of Potential but needs better customer service!! read more

My friend and I now see this as a regular stop, when we come up from Burlingame to go walking in the Mission/Excelsior. It's a nice quiet spot, with an outside back area for when the weather warms up. Came here in a hurry during my lunch break, and ordered a Abuelita's Hot Chocolate and a Clubhouse Sandwich (turkey, bacon, avocado,...etc). First of all, there was a line and I was a little hesitant because I didn't wanna be late back to work. However, the staff got through the line quickly and and I got my food and back to work on time. surprised at service received today. girl was on the phone with her boyfriend while we were waiting to order. after a couple of minutes she rolls her eyes and asks if we're ready to order then hangs up her call. we order our drinks, pay and and sit down and I realize she didn't ask what milk we prefer. I ask her what milk she was using and she said whole milk. I told her I was allergic and if she could please make my drink with oat milk. She was upset and attempted to charge me for another whole new drink. we were so turned off by her attitude and unprofessional behavior we ended up leaving with no coffee. super disappointed with customer service today and regret spending almost $10 with nothing to show for it. read more

Walking by this on Mission for a couple months, I've been waiting for this place to open and I wasn't disappointed. The cashier told me their grand opening was this last Saturday (January 27). The menu includes several espresso drinks, lattes, sandwiches, and bagels. The sandwiches include three paninis, tuna, BLT, and veggie. There's also four types of salads and house-made hummus. In addition, they have a case with some pastries and other baked goods. Fairly decent selection for a small neighborhood coffee shop. And for those wondering, yes they do offer Wi-Fi. The inside is really cute with several tables and full wall mural celebrating the Excelsior District. I think this place will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood and has the potential to be a gathering spot for the local community. I look forward to see what's in store for the future of this new coffee spot. read more

The small little shop opened up right in the neighborhood of Excelsior. When I walked by, I was able to see the amazing paintings on the wall which made the cafe even more exciting and cozy. I stayed here to do some sketches and prep for my interviews. I had a latte here and they know how to make a proper cup. It's about time Excelsior had a proper coffee shop! Since Mamá has closed, it feels like the whole neighborhood has been waiting for a new independent cafe to open. Double Shot does not disappoint! Well made drinks, friendly staff, and a nice mural right by the entrance makes this a great destination. The grand opening for this place was amazing. Friendly and fast service with great drinks! However, each time I've gone after the opening something is always wrong. The cashier's are unable to find the price of anything in their system, I once waited 15 minutes for the cashier to place my order for an ice blended drink, she eventually gave up and had to track down the manager. But I'm a nice gal, I chalked it up to growing pains. But this has not stopped. The last time I was in they just didn't make my drink. I paid and waited for about 15 minutes before asking what happened. Who ever took my order and my money never placed the order. I now actively avoid this place and go the other coffee stop down the street, even though double shot is on my commute and other other place isn't. read more

Oh my! I love this coffee spot. I got one of my favorites. A lavender latte with a hint of mint and substitute coconut milk! I have to say this place is the only place that good my flavor taste buds just right off the request! I didn't even have to say anything. It was all in the magic hands of the barista that took my order and made it just the way I fathom. So satisfying and electrifying! Wow. Not too sweet at all. The flavors were also very robust and strong another plus. I love love love my coffee drink! I will be coming here again whenever I'm in the mood for a great coffee drink. I also got the veggie bagel which is phenomenal. It comes with avocado, cucumbers, red onion, tomatoes and cream cheese for $4.50! This is a brand new, super cute, fun, relaxing cafe with delicious espresso drinks, sandwiches and salads. What a gift to the neighborhood! They serve great food, provide great service and play relaxing music. Even the bathroom is large and convenient--handicapped accessible with a changing table. I love this place! read more

I really like this place. The coffee is good and they offer several milk alternatives. You can use stamp cards to get a free drink after so many. The staff is small so I usually see the same few people and they are really nice. There isn't much for food so I've never tried it but I didn't notice one time they were selling tamales. Great find in the excelsior district! Love their Abuelita latte which my husband loved and their Abuelita hot chocolate which my daughter loved. They did a nice job with the decor in here. Love the mural. Coffee is fine. Wifi is good! Prices are definitely not cheap, but reasonable for San Francisco circa 2018. Big complaint is the incredibly loud (broken?) fridge in the front. Maybe it's to keep people like me from posting up here for hours :-). read more

Finally got the try this place! Solid coffee. I was going to be basic and order the pumpkin latte but then realized they have mazapan and horchata lattes! So apparently this place is delicious and I don't doubt it but my cousin just had to cancel my bagel order because the girl was literally face-timing and texting on her phone WHILE making my sandwich she even took the phone to the table where they MAKE the food and was typing away while making the bagel so in the middle of her doing that my cousin told her to forget it due to the fact that our cell phones have so much BACTERIA. She apologized but it was a little too late and a little too gross for her to let me eat the bagel.
