I've spent the last several years of my life in Los Angeles County and I've been on the search for a donut shop with donuts as good as these. Nothing is yet to compare. This place is consistently good. The sandwiches (def worth the wait) might take a little while, and the drip coffee may not be the best, but the donuts are spot on. This is a donut shop after all! lol! Every donut we have had has been fresh and delicious. Favorites are strawberry, chocolate cream filled, and the old fashioned donuts. No fancy asthetics here. A donut shop with booth style seating. They serve coffee, crepes and a variety of donuts. We got there about 1:30pm on a Sunday, about 30 min before closing. They didn't have much selection including the common glazed donut, but probably since they were closing soon. I got the cinnamon roll. It was a decent size, fluffy and tasted very good. Surprisingly, it was not too sweet! The kids and hubby enjoyed their donuts as well...a chocolate frosting and almond crossaint. I had the strawberry banana cream crepe. Reasonably priced ~ $5.00 great portion size filled the whole plate and taste was delish. I think they had about 5 different flavors, nothing too fancy. Varied in price, but they were all less than $6.00. This was my first time here and I frequent this area. I would visit the nearby shops instead. Glad i finally went! read more

I had to put in a large order of donuts for work. The staff is extremely professional pleasant and helpful. My large order was ready on the counter for me when I arrived and packaged no nicely! The customer service is exceptional and the donuts themselves were delicious! Not to mention they have lovely big white boxes to display the donuts laid evenly, and they have the cutest candy striped pink and white boxes for the smaller orders! Every now and then, I crave for donuts. The best donut shops I've been to are either located in Berkeley or SF. And these donuts come out warm, moist, and they literally melt in your mouth! So I'm not going to hold my breath hoping to find something even CLOSE to what I've experienced in the past. HOWEVER, Dough Boy's Donuts aren't that bad! They may not be warm, but their donuts are moist and fresh! I'm not no fancy donut-eater so I'm cool with my chocolate raised. If I really wanna get frisky, I'll get a chocolate french style. Get there early if you want a variety of donuts to choose from. I don't recall whens the last time I got to eat a FRENCH style donut cuz they run out by 9-10am? One thing that I'm totally bummed about - they only serve donuts with custard; NO WHIP CREAM! BOO!! What makes this donut shop different from the rest is that they also serve sandwiches and crepes. Um, everyone on here needs to know that they DO NOT sell Vietnamese sandwiches..Not sure if they did in the past, but they totally do not anymore. What do they have? tasteless crepes...serioulsy the crepes have no flavor, thus they need fillings. donuts are okay, but nothing amazing... and I did not see a huge donut there that there is a picture of on here... I had the banana and nutella crepe...not wowed hubby had the blt crepe, nothing amazing oh and it's cash only...thanks for making thing inconvienent! Crepes are so yummy and donuts are always fresh!!! I can't believe I've been wasting my money at fast food joints when I could have been eating fresh healthy crepes for lunch everyday. The egg salad is my favorite; I rotate between that and the BLT. I've started buying for folks at work (butt kissing da boss) and they all love them! More people come to my cube asking about crepes than for work related stuff. I've even ordered 50 to go for the office and there were able to accomodate. I came here to see what the fuss was about, Vietnamese sandwiches in Dublin? No way! However, I'm a bit confused by this claim, yes the owners of this place looked Vietnamese, but that doesn't make the sandwiches Vietnamese too! For the record, their sandwiches are American style, the lady behind the counter looked at me all confused when I asked for the other kind! Other than that minor disappointment, my sandwich was still good, I got the grilled chicken on wheat and it was ok. I also got a snapple and a blueberry donut. I just polished off that sucker and it was gooooooood! Tasted fresh and I'm glad I only ordered one to go or I probably would have caved in and slammed down more than that in one sitting. I also enjoyed this place because you could tell it was family owned and it still had that old school feeling to it with the little booths lined up along the windows. If you're looking for the neighborhood doughnut shop, the one that has been here forever, you've found it! Dough Boy isn't big on ambiance...there ain't no contemporary rustic Pottery Barn decor. But they do have pics of adorable little kids, long since grown up, munching on their sweet treats. It wasn't lunchtime yet and I needed a sugar boost before shopping. I picked up a chocolate bar doughnut and a cup of coffee. The doughnut was very fresh and the chocolate coating was satisfying. It wasn't gourmet or anything like that, but sweet and nostalgic. Awwww. Coffee was smoky and acceptable, but not the high-octane stuff from Peet's or Starbucks we're all accustomed to. Refills are free. Some folks griped about the cost, but the doughnuts are fairly large. A regular serving would be about 1/2 a doughnut. Also, I'd rather pay a bit more and get a fresh product. We had an office next to a doughnut place and we knew they were "recycling" the leftovers, to keep prices low. Ewwwww. People working there are very friendly. How did I miss this place- just had a chocolatey buttermilk- nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside/ chocolate glaze was sweet but seem to have more chocolate flavor than I've had before . We come here almost on a weekly basis. The donuts here are great with the right amount of sweet. The donut holes are fluffy and airy. Gotta come early or they are sold out. What I want to point out though is their customer service! It hands down one of the best! One time I went to buy a dozen of donut holes and they only had 8 left. The owner apologized and charged me only half a dozen. We missed the boat on National Donut Day but due to the excitement over this, I bookmarked Dough Boy's since it is close to home. Friendly service, easy enough parking. The husband declared his apple fritter to be one of the best he had ever eaten (and of course didn't offer me a bite, nor tell me this until it was gone) and I had my most favorite and pretty much only donut I will eat (traditional cake donut with white glaze and rainbow sprinkle).
