Walked by this new Dough Location on Upper east side. It is one of the smaller locations but it seems to be clean and somewhat spacious. There is no where to sit and eat your donut but there is a bar by the window where you can stand and eat. These donuts are pretty big and doughy. If you want to splurge on a treat this is the right place. Each donut is 6.00 +tax and tip if you do tip. So this is not a spot I will come to alot but on special occasions or if I have out of town friends and they want to try out the donuts. When I was here there was only one person working so the service was a tad slow with a few people in the store placing orders. But it was not too bad. The guy who helped me was nice and apologetic about the wait. I had the chocolate with cacao nibs donut. It is my fav one there. All the donuts here look beautiful and delicious though.

Tall dulce de leche donut, sprinkled with. sliced almonds. Very dense dough with delicious topping. Would love to try more flavors. Cute space to enjoy your treat.

I almost didn't stop in because of the mediocre reviews but I am so happy I did! The doughnuts were out of this world! They were so fresh and the flavors were spot on! We got a strawberry which was my favorite, a blueberry, a chocolate and a cafe au lait doughnut! They were moist and had the best cake-like texture that we all loved! The shop was cute and there were even a few seats by the window. We were thrilled to stop by on a Saturday and find it not too busy! Will definitely be back!

I found this place walking by and only walked in after seeing a sign that said vegan donuts! This place is great! They have an extensive array of donuts with fun flavors and pretty nice vegan options. At the time I went, there was vegan cinnamon sugar, glazed, passionfruit, and a blueberry jam one. They were large, fluffy, and one of the best *vegan* donuts I've had! Also, one of the few places in UES that even offers vegan donuts. The shop is pretty small with counter seating, so it's definitely more of a to-go place. The donuts are ~$6 each. I noticed other reviews complaining about the price, but it seemed reasonable given the donuts are large, it's a shop located in UES, and this place is legit marketed as "Artisan" donuts. Whenever I see any business described as "artisan," I know it's going to be a bit pricey. I overall enjoyed my experience and would definitely return!

The shop is beautifully pleasant to go and very modern. but the doughnut is very over priced. The cost of one doughnut is about $6. I had a strawberry shortcake. There was nothing much about the strawberry just the Frosting. There is no filling, it was very doughy. The doughnut was very big BUT where is the filling ir something. I would not go back again. I would rather go to Dunkin and get a doughnut. Service was quick because only one person there.

I had heard the Dough's donuts were the most exceptional and so unusual that it would be virtually impossible to return to what we previously thought was a good place to get go for coffee and donuts. It's one reason why I hesitated to visit the new store that opened near my home on the upper east side. However as a food connoisseur, I felt I had a responsibility to taste and draw my own conclusions. When I first arrived, I met Edison who helped me explore the incredible new kinds of absolutely delicious flavors! And here's the good news, no matter which ones you choose, you'll be exceedingly happy!! And they also make delicious lattes and cappuccinos!

But I had a craving one morning for some sugar and 'Dough' was on my way. I walked in and realized one of their donuts was going to at least spread out for over 2 days for me. The flavors looked so delicious. I decided to go for 'Toasted Coconut'. Amazing nutmeg-y finish and I have to say I love the yeastiness of the donut - did not feel like straight up sugar, but felt like a complex cake/bread - the sourness did come through. The donut has body and texture. My donut world has changed from now on. If I encounter donut people, I will definitely recommend this place. And maybe next year try one of their other amazing flavors. It did cost me $6.80 but I'm telling you these are gigantic - one for 2 people I'd say. The place is simple, cute and clean - standard NYC modern shop. So not much to report here.

Just so you know, I don't have any pictures of it because I ate it immediately! Don't judge me. 5/5 I also had the strawberry shortcake. Very fresh, nice texture, soft throughout. I reminded me of a strawberry crunch cake without the cake taste. I like donuts to taste like donuts despite the name and flavors. 5/5 I swear y'all I wanted the blueberry lemon with the oat crumble, but I had to get outta there before I ate another thing. I promised myself I would get it when I came back! Dough has delicious donuts that are thoughtfully crafted. Check them out. They have SIX locations throughout New York. Til we eat again....

But we were coming back from the city around lunch time and we made a little delicious detour, and I was so happy we did so!! Line was not crazy so I was in and out in about 15 minutes. My wife and I love yeast donuts for the honey dipped, sugar raised, Boston cream and jelly, so PP's donuts are right up our alley! Texture and flavor were amazing! Only critique, the cream and the jelly were a little chemically tasting than we prefer. There is a place on LI that burned down, House of Donuts, that are probably the only ones better bc their fillings do not have that chemically taste. The blueberry buttermilk, the apple fritter and apple pie donuts are also must gets if you like cakier donuts! We also got the sour cream and chocolate glazed donuts but they were just ok. Chocolate could have been a little chocolatier. All in all, really enjoyed but if House of Donuts was 5 stars, this would probably be 4.5 stars, which is still great!

Individually papered and placed neatly in the box, with extreme care. All of the employees have on the most lovely uniforms that invite you into the old fashioned establishment that beckons for you to eat the old fashioned cake donuts. The powdered donuts were an extra delight in my opinion. Especially the Bavarian cream. The lemon wasn't quite what I expected. Filled with a fruit gel and not a cream. So that one was a no for me. The glazed and cake were a big hit as well.

One day in your life you may need emergency doughnuts and this is the spot to get them…read more What's an "emergency doughnut" you ask? It's when your egg-free brownies turn into a bubbling liquid mess the night before the office party and you don't have enough ingredients (or the will) to try again. The fact that they are open late is a godsend. Though the operation only looks like an oversized kiosk, they have quite a large selection. I was able to online order 2 dozen doughnuts no problem and still be spoiled for choice. The Tres Leches was the biggest hit. There were no leftovers to take back home despite my wishing there were. If it wasn't for my co-worker's egg allergy I would have never thought to come to this location. But the selection was up to par for their other location I visited in the past and they were just as fresh. If I ever have another need for emergency doughnuts I know just where to go.

This spot is one of the more well-known doughnut shops in the city, and after trying it, it's easy to see why. We ordered the Hazelnut doughnut and the Pistachio doughnut, and both were excellent. The Hazelnut doughnut had a rich chocolate flavor with crunchy hazelnut pieces on top that added the perfect texture. The Pistachio doughnut was lighter and had a great balance of sweetness with a nice pistachio flavor throughout. Both doughnuts were soft, fresh, and packed with flavor without being overly heavy. The location inside Grand Central gives it a really cool NYC vibe as well. It's the perfect stop to grab a coffee and doughnut while exploring the city or waiting for a train. Between the quality of the doughnuts and the atmosphere of Grand Central Station, this ended up being one of the best dessert stops from the trip.

Anyways, one order of the mini donuts, they are super customizable and if you need help picking and choosing flavors and toppings, the staff member can provide suggestions and pairings. I got the Ube and Pistachio and they both taste great, especially when they're freshly made and warm. I've also tried the Strawberry Covered Chocolates and those strawberries were massive. The problem with massive strawberries is eating them. If I had a knife, I could cut them into smaller pieces as eating them on a skewer stick got really messy. Also the strawberry itself overpowered any of the chocolate taste, so it didn't balance well in terms of taste. For sure favored the milk chocolate over the dark chocolate.

The glaze twist is one of my favorites. It's wonderfully sweet while not cloying, and I especially enjoy topping it with the Bon Mama berry jam I have at home. The Boston creme is truly made with love. It's sufficiently stuffed with creme and topped with a thick layer of chocolate ganache - the expensive stuff! The coffee donut is also delicious. Of everything I've tried, the strawberry filled was my favorite. You can tell their strawberry compote is homemade and not too sweet.
