Posting a concern about the dangerous driver with Dave's Towing that has occurred on multiple…read moreoccasions. On three occasions in the last year, this company has either cut off my family car with our family inside or cut off other drivers on the road, both local streets in Northbrook, Ilinois and on Highway 41 N and in Deerfield. I spoke with Jordan this evening after he failed to use his turn signal on two occasions in front of us in the dark and cut in front with no warning. Had a police car been present, he would lose his license for this kind of reckless driving. The other times were even more severe. Speeding and weaving in and out of cars with the massive flatbed truck and finally on 41 Northbound last year, traveling literally over 80 mph going in and out of cars. I hope that Dave who is the father and owner can stop this from happening again and I would be more than happy to remove this complaint or give them a 5 star rating. I know Dave is a rough guy at times, but this is not acceptable driving behavior from either his son or himself. They can be very helpful guys and should know better. Thank you.

I filled out the form with financial limit of $1000, left key and form in the overnight mailbox repair authorization. Said the car was ready Friday, I came to P/U Monday, car wasn't ready. Told to come back Tuesday, Tuesday waited 3 hours. The bill was $3843.70. I drove the car 68.2 miles and it overheated on June 30. When I called Jeff to have it towed in again he said we would 'work it out' the tow. He told me they needed at least two weeks before working on it. Since this was a 're-do' of previous repair, I believe the better business practice would be to schedule my job ahead of others. The second tow and repair involved hoses (which weren't needed the first repair), and a second anti freeze fill, and a thermostat housing etc.... again, which would not have been necessary had the first repair fully and properly fixed the overheating issue. I asked Jeff to have all the replaced parts saved. On July 29, I picked up the car (30 days in service the second time) asked for the parts and Jeff said Frank, the mechanic couldn't find the parts. This bill 527.17 and again no parts returned. No car for a total of 38 days. Jeff response "I don't break them, I fix them" - and "I won't be working on this car again" - and "I'm not paying for the tow".

I could hear the exhaust system was no longer performing its intended purpose. They determined that my entire exhaust system needed to be replaced as well as a good bit of work that was needed on the brakes. These two jobs were not inexpensive, but I give them enormous credit for being very fair with their pricing and extremely pleasant to work with. I'm very happy with the work that was done and the friendly, personal interaction with Mike (The owner?)

These guys will tell you what's wrong with your car, tell you what they can fix and tell you what to skip or is not in their areas of experience. Just had my wife's car worked on there and my mothers-in-law's car looked over. Save me hundreds over dealer prices and again trusted people.
