If you don't have the patience to read my whole review, read this: the cinnamon rolls will blow your mind. They are gigantic, fresh, served warm and drenched in icing. In addition to the monster cinnamon roll, I ordered The Hillbilly. It was a massive breakfast plate containing eggs, hash browns, sausage patties (or meat of choice), and a biscuit with gravy. Besides lacking salt and pepper, everything was delicious. The gravy was lacking seasoning. Service was splendid. There was a 15 minute wait which is nothing for a Saturday morning. After we ordered, our food came out in TEN minutes!! I hadn't even finished my mug of coffee. Our waiter was very attentive and checked in a few times to ensure we were enjoying our meal. He even asked if I wanted coffee to go when we were paying the tab. We're glad we found this sweet little local joint. Local places truly are the best. We will definitely be back to try other menu items (and feast on a cinnamon roll). read more

Great place to come for Pancakes & Good Coffee with a Ginormous Cinnamon Roll to go. Feels like it has been here forever! The nice people who work here really make you feel at home. It's hard to find good service where someone actually remembers your name & what I usually eat? Blueberry Pancakes, Crispy Bacon & scrambled eggs are my favorite go to. The carne asada papas wasn't what I expected. The "carne asada" tasted like pot roast, and was tough. My wife had sausage patties that were not that tasty and tough. The server was pleasant, but the service to the table was slow, as was the food delivery. Cinnamon bun was the highlight of the experience, and the coffee was ok. I'm moving up north, so decided to check out the local fare. I saw this place as I was looking for options. They have some good outdoor dining options on the patio. I was a little surprised at the menu. It was actually quite extensive. They had an excellent happy hour with dollar drinks. And also a $6 to go special with a sandwich and a drink. I got the favorite omelette. I felt it was a little dry, but next time I think I'll just make a different choice. What was interesting is the breakfast menu is the exact same menu that the Butchery in Arvada had. So I don't know if they're connected or the chef moved to this location when the Butchery stoped serving breakfast a year or so ago. I'll certainly be back to try Doug's again. read more

Food was very good. I was interested in the cinnamon roll. Server suggested we try the small version first and glad we did as it was the perfect size. Cinnamon roll was excellent. To keep from filling up too much I had the oatmeal and my wife had the sausage and eggs with a biscuit. Biscuit was very good. We flew in on an early flight to Denver and stopped in off highway, work the drive. Great service, friendly staff and amazing food, since our first time, the waitress gave us a complimentary small cinnamon roll. It was soooo good. We went here for the first time because of how many good reviews this place had on yelp and google. Why does this place have good reviews?? Easily the most bland food we have had. I got the asada burrito smothered with green chili and gravy. The eggs and potatoes had no seasoning on them at all. It is also disrespectful to call that meat carne asada; it was unseasoned chuck roast. We also tried the cinnamon roll as there were a lot of reviews and pictures of it. Not sure how you can make a bad cinnamon roll but I think they may have forgotten the cinnamon as again there was little to no flavor. read more

We went there cause the food pics looked great! They close at three we got there about a quarter to two. We were seated in a corner then left there for over twenty minutes Everyone that worked there was cleaning up to close. They allll ignored us. All of them. Worst service ever. If you want to close and be gone at exactly 3 then turn your open sign off at 130. Won't ever try it I guess cause the service was BS. Food is very good and fresh. Staff is good as well. First time I went there I got the build your own omelet they forgot to add an ingredient. Happened as well today. At both times I had younger servers that took the order. Not sure what going on with that. But I will be back and .ake sure they get it right. We love Doug's! We have been to this location several times since moving into the area and it's the best of everything. It has a fun and casual feel and we never feel unwelcome with our kids (which, if you have small children, you know what I mean). The food is always spectacular, large portions, delicious, and just hits that sweet spot of upscale diner food. Their griddle biscuits are a favorite of ours, slightly sweet for loading with jam and thick enough to accommodate gravy. The service is always good as well, fast, and attentive. What prompted me to write a review today though is a specific instance of kindness from the guy waiting on us, I'm assuming may have been in management? I wish I had gotten his name to give a shoutout more directly! Anyways, he was great the whole time we were there but then when he found out we were out for my son's seventh birthday, he brought out a to go box with an enormous frosted cinnamon roll with sprinkles on top just as a special treat for my kiddo.
