Haven't been here in while, but had an awesome birthday dinner for my wife. Service was quick but not rushed. They redesigned the dining room a while ago and it's brighter and so welcoming. The food is great. Fantastic Prime Rib. One of the better ones in this area. Reasonably priced. The cheesecake was soooo good. I ordered a side of angel hair pasta and it was cooked perfectly, at a seafood restaurant! It's a little more expensive than a neighborhood place, but fresh food prepare well was so worth it!

Service was very attentive. Loved that they had soft shell crabs on the menu. Delicious! Place is very old school...salad, twice baked potato...yummy tiramisu for dessert. Ambiance nice, again, old school.

If you want a nice place for Friday or Saturday night to enjoy some live music while you dine then this place has just that. Music and dancing are a lot of fun here. The waiting service here is exceptional. One of the best places I've been to where they really accommodate you. Staff is ultra friendly too! The food was good. I liked the lobster bisque but others in the group did not. Every meal came with soup or salad and a side. I had the fried shrimp and rice and enjoyed it. Others had the filet and crab cakes and thought it was pretty good. We will be back.

Miguel was our server and did a great job. No issues with anything, refilled soda drinks without asking, he is on top of everything. The other workers are very polite and efficient. We always come here to celebrate my older kid's birthdays. The owner always greets us and thanks us. Background music is nice and soft. Food is always excellent here. The only thing I miss is the salad boat that use to come around before Covid days.

Wow, I pass this place all the time and I finally made it inside! The staff is truly amazing, I felt a real warm welcome when I entered! It's been in business for over 45 years! I ordered the Golden Tilapia filet! It was cooked perfectly and you get a choice of baked potatoe, rice of the day or roasted potatoes, I chose the roasted potatoes and these were the best potatoes I've ever had! You also get a choice of salad or soup! I got the clam chowder, I have to say that there wasn't enough clams in the soup! My husband had the sautéed jumbo shrimps, it was really tasty and very tender, not overcooked! The atmosphere was quiet and elegant, definitely will be going back! Our waitress Terri was very pleasant, helpful and funny!

Not the tourist traps, but more like the small neighborhood places where they can't risk cutting corners. The menu is simple and you don't need much time to pick your order. Its a place where you are probably appreciated if you walk in knowing what you want. That's also authentic to Philadelphia, as I remember. I ordered a classic with ribeye, and provolone. A side of fries and a drink. Drinks are self-serve from the fountain, so I filled my cup and grabbed a table. Only a few minutes later, I had my order. The steak was great.. Plenty of cheese and onion, and on a nice, chewy roll. Look, it's a cheesesteak. Just a darned good, basic cheesesteak. I am not going to attempt to wax poetic about some time in Philly when such and such happened before a Dead Milkmen show, or something. The fries were solid as well. Medium cut and cooked to have a good mix of crispy fries mixed in. They also have a house-made hot sauce that is pretty darned good on the sandwich. If you want an unpretentious meal and are short on time, this is a great option. Good food, fast service and reasonably priced. Give them a try. If you're not a snob, you're gonna like it.

If you're interested in the axe throwing, enter on Milwaukee Avenue as the restaurant is in back and easier to get to from the rear. You can enter either way. I didn't get a chance to check out the axe throwing part during this visit so I won't discuss it. We met another couple and entered from the parking lot at the rear. When you walk in the vestibule, you can only enter or exit on the left as the right side corner of the restaurant is used for live music. On this occasion there was a singer/guitarist playing when we arrived. The other party was seated already so we made our way to the table. There are a bunch of tables and seats at the bar. And the place was packed. Clearly people knew the singer and were there in support. The speakers were turned up and it was hard to hear the conversation at the table. It's a nice menu and has a lot of options. This would be a good spot for our Burger Club, as there were a few options to choose between. In addition to the burgers, there were other handhelds, some nice looking entrees, salads, and nice starters. I opted for one of their burgers and asked for it medium rare. It was perfectly prepared and was quite delicious. My wife got a salad and added chicken. There was a ton of chicken in it. It looked nice and she said it was good. Our two companions ordered burgers and a chicken sandwich respectively and also commented on how good the food was. Our server was very attentive and was constantly refilling drinks before being asked, asked how we were doing, if the food was to our liking, and cleared up finished plates. By the way, their ranch is a dill ranch and is quite tasty. I'd give five stars, except it was extremely loud and hard to hear.

Our Burger Club visited on a Thursday night not knowing local artists came for an open mic night. It's a tiny place with tables crammed in at every angle and wherever they could put them. We grabbed a table unbeknownst to us in front of the open mic area. Some of the acts were good and some not so good. And they clearly had a following. One of the more interesting decor choices are the LPs that adorn the walls. Not the records themselves, but the LP jackets and covers. They're on the walls and they looked as if they were placed on the walls when they were first purchased as they were properly aged for their timeframe (classic rock mostly). We all had the burgers (hence the burger club). The burgers and fries were reasonably good. We had also ordered wings as an appetizer to share and they were very good. What surprised me the most was that there was one bartender/server and one cook in the kitchen. That was it and the bartender/server was johnny-on-the-spot. She took our order, served our drinks, checked on us, and repeated the process for all the other tables (all were taken) and all the patrons at the bar. I was amazed at how hard she and the cook worked, despite the number of people, The burgers were okay, the wings were pretty good. But the service was hands down some of the best we had and the venue was welcoming to us outsiders into their open mic wonderland. Go for the food and stay for the atmosphere and terrific service!

This was…read morethe first place where I truly experienced top tier wings, and funny enough, it all started with one random wing back in high school. I remember being at lunch one day when I ran into one of my friend's sisters and some of her friends. They had wings, and since the last time I checked our school definitely didn't sell wings, I jokingly asked what they were eating. They told me where they were from and let me try one. After I finished that wing, I immediately wanted another. I couldn't just ask for one, so instead I basically interrogated them. What's the name of the place? Where is it? How far away? To my surprise, Franks was only about 10 minutes away. The funny part is I didn't actually get to truly experience Franks until after high school. I had been a fan of wings for years, but I didn't really know what a great wing was yet. Looking back, I didn't realize how lucky I was that Franks was one of my first introductions to genuinely great wings. Fast forward about 15 years and I'm still eating them. I usually get Franks every two or three months, and recently I realized it had been a while. My order almost never changes. Two pounds of mild and two pounds of medium. I always order them to go, and even after the ride home, they still taste fresh and juicy. I usually start with the medium, and that first bite always reminds me why I keep coming back. You bite into tender, juicy meat followed by that crisp exterior and Buffalo sauce. Everything complements each other perfectly. You have tender chicken, crunch on the outside and sauce covering the entire wing. These aren't wings where you get one great bite followed by a section with barely any sauce. They are saucy, and I mean saucy. The medium sauce is probably my favorite. It has that peppery Buffalo flavor with a noticeable acidic tang and enough heat to make itself known. The acidity gives it a sharp Buffalo bite while the pepper and heat follow right behind it. Mix that with the juicy chicken and crispy exterior and it's a beautiful combination. Then you have the mild. The mild has a similar flavor, but the buttery taste comes through more. It's smoother and richer without losing what makes the sauce good. Sometimes the mild and medium sauces mix together, and those might be some of the best bites. You get the buttery richness from the mild mixed with the peppery, acidic kick and heat from the medium. It just works. That's what I love about these wings. They look simple. You might look at them and think you know exactly what you're about to get. Then you bite into one and realize there is nothing simple about the flavor. When I eat these wings, I'm genuinely at peace. I'll go out with cousins or friends, talk, joke around and enjoy the food together. With Franks, it doesn't matter. Eating these wings is an experience on its own. Once I start, I'm in my own little world enjoying every bite. The only bad part is knowing eventually I'm going to run out. I always make sure I have some left for the next day. If something tastes this good, why experience it only once when I can wake up knowing I still have Franks waiting for me? What might impress me most is the consistency. I've been eating these wings for around 15 years, and whether I think back five years, 10 years or 15 years, I know what I'm getting when I order Franks. I honestly can't remember a time when I finished their wings and walked away disappointed. After all these years, they still stand tall. They're juicy, tender, crispy, loaded with sauce and packed with flavor. The medium brings that peppery heat and acidic tang, while the mild brings that buttery richness. Are they the best wings I've ever had? They might be. These wings don't kid around.

The croissant was very buttery, but I felt it was so buttery, it lost some exterior texture a fresh croissant may have. The potatoes were very tasty, but were dripping in oil on the plate.
