Breakfast burritos are always delicious. Order them spicy! I used to alternate between D.O.G. and "San Juan Restaurant" is the street for lunches on the go. San Juan recently "renovated" and enlarged its space, and as a result, doubled its prices. So, now when I'm in the mood for a breakfast burrito downtown, it's D.O.G. 100% of the time. Tip: if it's busy and you find yourself tempted to complain about the amount of time you've been waiting, don't do it! Or you'll find yourself waiting even longer. read more

Spicy meat burritos are the best. This place has been a life saver many of times. My wife and I have enjoyed these burritos for a long time now. Pros- tastes great. Taste is consistent every time. I've never ordered and felt like they have been lacking in ingredient proportion. Cons- service however typically friendly, there isn't really an effort to connect with you as you order and/or wait for your food. Not that this has to happen, but for customer experience it obviously wouldn't hurt the cause. Also, if I've noticed any negative about the food it's that the burritos may not always be consistent in size. Sometimes they are the typical large burrito which is awesome and others they are kind of small in size. And for an $8 breakfast burrito. Well, that just sucks when that happens. We were going to tequeriz sanchez close by to get the breakfast burritos before we made our way to JHMR, but they weren't open early enough for folks that want to make first chair on powder days! Hence we ate the same breakfast burrito at DOG 3 days in a row. and no we didn't get sick of it. It was that good. Hot sauce selection there was also incredible if you want to add your own spice. This was a fun breakfast place. I would have rated it five stars but my wife thought 4 was more appropriate because of its extreme casualness. The two guys working there were awesome. The spicy meat burrito is the way to go. The Southwest burrito was good but not great. The coffee was really good. Only down side to this place is there are only four seats. Lucky for us we got the last two. You kind of sit on their porch but they have a great heater. I really liked the extremely casual atmosphere. Don't go if you want to sit at a table and be served. The first thing I notice was the music being played. Very good choice of music I must say. It really sets that chill atmosphere for such a cool outdoor food spot. The cashier was very personable, two thumbs up for awesome service. Now on to the food...we ordered two different burritos, one breakfast burrito and one steak burrito. The eggs had a lot of flavor, very different from what you'll usually find in other burritos. The onions were also cooked perfectly. Although the pieces of steak was thin, it had a lot flavor. It's hard to give this place 4 stars because I've NEVER had good service there... And the wait time is prettttty long considering it's "fast food" and you have to sit outside at (sometimes dirty) tables. Great on a warm day, but not many places to hide if it's bad weather or the tented area is packed in the wintertime. HOWEVER. I drive through Jackson regularly and I always stop. (And recommend it to anyone else who's driving through town). Why? The burrito's are amazing. I've even picked them apart several times to try and figure out what they put in them to make them so good. Definitely the best place I've found in Jackson for an affordable, "quick" meal. The fries are all fresh cut and seasoned to taste with every order, and they might have been the highlight of the meal. That's not to say that cheese-steak sandwiches weren't amazing though. Got referred here for good cheap food. The food here is average price for sub-average quality. Seven dollar burger: the meat tasted like it was frozen bought and completely bland. The other ingredients weren't fresh either. For some reason they dice up onions and tomatoes for the burger, which made them just fall out. Their smoothies are somehow also seven dollars... And aren't even made fresh to order. They are batch made and frozen. The employees were decidedly apathetic. I would be hard pressed to eat here again. Upshot: their fries are pretty tasty.
