Down the Street is a cute bar and grill in our cousin's neighborhood. They serve food and have brunch too, but he mainly comes here for drinks and brought our family here after a great night out. It's really cute with a nice outdoor patio, a big bar and several tables inside too. We were warmly greeted and allowed to hang out for a bit after they closed. I decided to get the egg on an island Benedict and a Bloody Mary. The eggs were poached perfectly and the bacon was also really great. Overall the plate was tasty and the bloody was great as well. Parking is very limited but you can park up and down the street in front of peoples townhomes. The ambiance has always been very relaxed and chill. Came here for a quick, light dinner before going to see a show downtown. Parking lot is small but this place is great with both indoor and outdoor seating, good food/drinks, and clean bathroom. Awesome spot for brunch in the heights. It looked super busy when we got there but we were able to find seating with little issue. You order at the bar and they have self seating. The blood orange mimosas were delicious! As was the chicken biscuit and eggs Benedict. The eggs on the chicken biscuit were so fluffy and they went so well with the warm bun. It's kind of a different location, in that it is off my main drag, but who cares...less emissions when on the patio. Brunch is 9am to 3.pm on Sat and Sun. $3. Mimosas, $5. Bloody Mary's. There are water bowls for dogs, and they are welcome on the patio. In fact, there were eight tables with dogs when we visited (including ours!). It seems like 20 or so draft beers at the bar, impressive. I had the brisket hash, which is a cast iron pan of Smokey Brisket, hash browns, cheddar cheese, an egg, with a side of fruit.
