Couldn't be more excited about this car!

My fiancé and I were on the hunt for a jeep and we found the one for us at down under auto sales. As soon as we got there brad threw us the keys and let us take a solo test drive! Of course we fell in love the jeep was in awesome condition. Brad made the process so easy and everyone in the office was friendly and fun. This was our first time buying a used car and I couldn't imagine it going any smoother. We are moving to CO in a few days so just to be sure I took the jeep to a mechanic to get checked out. Everything came back clean and working great!! Thank you down under auto!

The vehicle was reasonably priced from the start, Tommy was extremely helpful and even got new tires put on while I filled out paperwork.

I am extremely disappointed in both Capitol Chevrolet Austin TX and General Motors regarding how a…read morecatastrophic issue with a brand-new vehicle has been handled. My 2025 Silverado experienced a catastrophic engine failure with under 6,000 miles and required a full engine replacement. While the mechanical issue itself is concerning, what has been more frustrating is the lack of communication, follow-through, and urgency from both the dealership and GM. Since the vehicle went into the shop: * I've had to repeatedly initiate contact just to get basic updates * Calls and promised follow-ups from the dealership were not returned * There was no clear repair timeline provided * The replacement engine was later confirmed to be on backorder, extending the delay even further * I've incurred ongoing rental costs due to the lack of a dealer loaner and minimal coordination Despite escalating the issue to GM Customer Care and requesting meaningful resolution, the process has felt slow, reactive, and dismissive of the real inconvenience and financial burden placed on the customer. When you spend hard-earned money on a new vehicle, especially a premium truck, you expect reliability, accountability, and proactive support when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, this experience has demonstrated the opposite. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Capitol Chevrolet or investing in the GM brand to think carefully about what happens after the sale -- because when a serious issue arises, the customer support simply hasn't been there.

This is the type of dealership that will sell you a problem and not fully disclose it. (2009 GTI,…read more140k miles, ~$8,000) I was told the car had a carbon fiber dash and hood. In reality, the "carbon fiber" dash was just a stick-on overlay, and the hood was standard aluminum. I was also told the rear window issue was a simple wiring problem they wouldn't fix--but that turned out to be inaccurate. Within two days of driving, the car developed a misfire on cylinder 1. The codes were being cleared prior to the test drive, which allowed the issue to go unnoticed. I was also told the car had a "tune," but no details were provided. After looking into it, it appears to be a basic Stage 1 tune with a blow-off valve, along with heavily worn K&W coilovers. After purchase, I ran my own vehicle history report (which the dealership declined to provide) and found the car had been in a prior accident. Further inspection showed the rear door had been replaced with one from a different model year, which explains the window issue. There was also body filler used to cover a significant dent instead of properly repairing it. The repaint quality is poor, with visible drips and missed areas. Even the stock rims appear to have been repainted to match. Overall, this was a very misleading buying experience. I strongly recommend doing your own inspection and pulling a vehicle history report before purchasing anything from here.

There were/are previous and current issues with the car that the owner knew of and ignored and did not have the integrity to tell me about. Difficulty with the hood opening, after getting the hood open I find out the hood struts do not hold the hood open, the need to be replaced, he knew about this! Great job on the upholstery, but the piece on the drives side "A" pillar fell off on my way home, he knew about this. The sunroof does not operate as designed and possibly leaks, I'm waiting on my mechanic diagnosis, he you knew about this. These items were brought to his attention as soon as I found them. This shows a lack of integrity on his part. Find another for your automotive needs.

I spent nearly $60,000 on a brand-new 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport Elite and, three weeks later,…read moreI still don't have my vehicle back. Within approximately 50 miles, I discovered multiple defects that should never have made it past a pre-delivery inspection: peeling and bubbling paint on the driver's door, defective window tint, damaged steering wheel trim, a rear bumper scuff, and damage to the front grille. I dropped the vehicle off on June 16 and was initially told it would take 4-5 days to determine the next steps. Instead, the process dragged on for weeks with little communication. Most updates only came after I reached out myself, and the response was usually that they were still "waiting." It took nearly two weeks just to get the paint repair approved, and only after Honda Corporate became involved and opened a case. I also went more than a week without a loaner while my brand-new vehicle sat at the dealership. While Eduardo was professional and courteous whenever we spoke, the overall experience has been unacceptable. Spending nearly $60,000 on a new vehicle only to have it spend its first three weeks in the shop for multiple defects is not what any customer should expect. The most frustrating part is that I still don't have the vehicle I paid for. A brand-new Honda should not require body shop work almost immediately after purchase, and customers should not have to chase down updates for weeks to find out what's happening with their vehicle. Between the quality control issues, lack of proactive communication, missed timelines, and extended repair process, this has been one of the most disappointing new-car purchase experiences I've ever had. I expected far better from First Texas Honda.
