I went to multiple used car dealerships and couldn't find anything reasonably priced for the miles/make/model. It was very frustrating spending hours at these places only to get pressured into a crappy deal. My experience here was amazing. The vehicle was reasonably priced from the start, Tommy was extremely helpful and even got new tires put on while I filled out paperwork. I didn't buy a car from this place, But I wanted too. Started looking at one but noticed it had a few things wrong with it like the passenger side paint didn't match, passenger side door paneling was not attached correctly, and a headlight bracket was falling off, the grill was broken. So it may have been in an accident at some point. The price was ok but should be lower with these type of issues. After pointing out of couple of things as I look it over he tells me "maybe that's not the car for you." As if I was being to picky about buying a car from him. Well that's not good customer service. So I just had to walk away before he said anything else. Point is, if a head light bracket is going to fall off fix it, if the car has prior auto body damage don't pretend like it doesn't. Could have been a nice car with a few little fixes and honesty but down right bad service doesn't help. read more

Had a great experience with Brad buying a cargo van for my company. I found the vehicle on Cargurus.com and contacted Down Under via email. They called me back shortly and brought the vehicle to their location that was closer to my office. The vehicle was extremely clean and well detailed. After a test drive we negotiated a fair price for both parties and after I had the vehicle checked by my mechanic (clean bill of health) I gave them a check and got the temp tag and keys. I bought a 4Runner here in September of 2014. They had a good selection and I was in a hurry. Sadly the CD player broke by the time I got into Albuquerque, NM. I have also been waiting for my title for one year next month!!! THEY SOLD ME A TRUCK WITHOUT A CLEAN TITLE AND HAVE REFUSED TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY BLAME CARMAX AND HAVE DONE NOTHING TO HELP ME. IT HAS BEEN A YEAR AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY TITLE AND AM HAVING TO SEEK LEGAL HELP TO GET IT. I cannot recommend them even though the sales staff is friendly and they have a good selection. Having to fight for my title after paying 10k in cash is absolutely horrible business and the customer service trying to get it handled has been rude, unresponsive and unhelpful. read more

I purchased a 2001 Chevy Silverado LS Extended Cab 4X4 in April 2017 and realized the parking brake was not working the first time I parked on the boat ramp. This was unacceptable and when I talked to Tommy about this he said, "Hey, man . . . you bought a used truck. Uh huh huh huh . . ." WTF?! Really? Is that how you treat customers? This is why they have you sign an arbitration agreement to prevent you from seeking legal action against them. I figure the few hundred I spent repairing the truck myself was less than whatever I would have paid in legal fees, but I can post here on Yelp to warn potential customers to be aware of this place. I've never had such a smooth car buying experience! I knew what I wanted - a Toyota Tacoma. The location on S. Lamar had a handful of them. I did my research first- checked KBB prices, looked up the VIN history, checked other local dealerships - so I knew what I wanted to pay, too. Called ahead, talked to Brad, told him which one I was interested in requested to have a mechanic look it over. He told me to stop by, and let him know when the mechanic would be there. Next, I called a mobile mechanic - found from a Yelp review - for an independent ACE-certified inspection. I knew there would be minor things that needed attention - it's a used truck at a low price point - but I don't like surprises. The mechanic was there the same day & called me with his report. Next, I showed up in person, mentioned to Brad that I had called, and he handed me the keys for a test drive and told me to take my time. I did. Drove for a good thirty minutes, all over the place, on every type of road I could think of. I looked at each of the 4 items the mechanic had mentioned (cabin air filter, minor oil leak, TPMS light from oversized tires, and steering alignment needed). When I returned from my test drive, Brad & I talked about the history of the truck - how the dealership obtained it, what they had done to it (which appeared on the VIN check report, too). Everything lined up between what he told me, what the mechanic said, and what my own research determined. I made an offer based on the cost to fix the minor issues as well as the research I had done previously, that I thought was fair to both of us. He listened to my reasons, agreed to my offer, and shook my hand. The paperwork process took 15 minutes, with no hidden fees (of course, there's tax, title, license, doc prep fees in addition, regardless of where you buy). I've now had the truck for a few weeks, and put a few hundred miles on it, even towed a camper trailer - and couldn't be happier. If you are a knowledgeable buyer and understand that used cars usually need minor attention - go see Brad. He's the no-pressure, friendly salesmen that the industry needs! read more

I would buy from there again. If you are not handy with cars, do have a mechanic or mobile mechanic take a look before you purchase. Just good common sense with any used car purchase. I was pleasantly surprised with DUAS. The g/f and I bought a Corolla from them and it was a low-pressure buying environment, and the salesman knocked off a couple hundred bucks without trying to wheel-and-deal during the process. We had troubles paying for the car up front, as originally planned, but they accepted a down payment and a handshake that I would come back and pay the rest the next day (which I did). They sent me the license plates a few weeks later and so far things are all good (knock on wood). Overall I'm glad I went there! read more

I bought a 2004 4Runner for around $10k, about 2 years ago in April from Brad. First, the keys only worked in the rear door and the glove box, but not the driver or passenger door. I had to use the keyless entry to get in. Not a big deal, but strange. After about 2 months the A/C started blowing hot air, right when it got hot. I took it in and had freon replaced and added dye so I could tell if there was a leak. There was and it was going to cost around $900 dollars to replace the condenser. It's possible they didn't know about this, but it's equally possible they did, filled it and pretended they didn't. But wait there's more... About 3 months after that the radiator blew up and had to be replaced. that cost about $700 and had to be done to use the vehicle, unlike the A/C which didn't stop me from driving, but decreased my enjoyment and the functionality of the vehicle. Finally, about 10 months after I financed this vehicle, the transmission went out and was going to cost yet another $1700 to rebuild. I really loved this 4runner, but I had to let it go because it was destroying me financially. So, if you choose to buy a vehicle from these guys and I don't recommend you do, but if you do, make damn sure you use autopi.com or a mechanic you TRUST. Don't TRUST these guys to sell you a quality vehicle, because they won't if they get the chance. read more

I wouldn't recommend this dealer for a minute, but get any car you're interested in checked by a mechanic. A number of trucks from both locations had parts switched out with other vehicles (eg battery for a Civic in a truck). When we confronted the salesmen they both shrugged it off and said their mechanics must have made a mistake. Seems pretty convenient to happen numerous times. read more

Whatever you do, do not work with Brad. I currently have a 2004 Toyota 4Runner from this place and wish I would've never bought from them just because of him. He told me at time of purchase I would be able to trade my truck back in a year from time of purchase and that's what I was expecting I do. When it was time I called a year after my time of purchase and he told me to wait 6 months so I did. I called back 6 months which made it a year and a half from time or purchase and he stated he would get with the owner and give me a call back which he never did. Within that time I would call to make my payment and knowing it was me calling he still didn't acknowledge to say anything to me about calling me back so when I asked him he said the owners still hadn't been in which is funny because they are there almost every day. To this day he has never called me back. He is a liar and just wants to collect money from the interest they set you up with. Luckily Cindy was very helpful and always is and tried to refer me to another person from there but I just want to finish paying off my truck that way I don't have to deal with Brad or the owners anymore. read more
