Two stars for the server and the cocktail. Both were great! The rest of the experience was underwhelming to say the least. I had been wanting to try this place so we made reservations on a Friday night to try it out. I hate to leave a bad review when so many restaurants are struggling to stay open during COVID, but this place was such a disappointment. We started off with some cocktails which were $18 each. A little steep for Riverside, but they were good. They brought hard plastic cups for water which were dirty. We noticed right away that the menu that showed up when we scanned their QR code was very limited and not as vast as the one on their website. We inquired and were informed they had a kitchen issue. Annoying, but we could pick something from the limited menu, right? Wrong. The items we wanted on the limited menu were also unavailable! I asked for a salad but couldn't get that because they had no lettuce. Strange, but alright. How about the artichoke dip? Nope. Out of that too. They had a large selection of sushi but who knows if that was even available. We finally just settled on a cheese plate for the table and that never showed up. We decided to just finish our drinks and leave so we never even inquired again. We went to Lobby around the corner on Main Street and got dinner and more drinks. After we left, I didn't completely write the place off. Maybe they just had a bad night? I was willing to give them another chance at another time, but after reading other reviews, they seem to never have the full menu available. Not even lettuce for a salad? I understand that we are living through COVID right now, but I've never had a restaurant tell me half of their menu isn't even available to order. That seems to be a common theme at this place according to other reviewers. Do yourself a favor and go to Lobby around the corner. read more

Saw some bartender insulting someone for requesting a song. Hostile environment. Anywhere else nearby is better than this place.

Bartenders are terrible. Don't listen to these thirsty guys who say they are amazing because they are good looking. I ordered two long islands (one of the easiest drinks to make as a bartender) and she rolled her eyes at me and proceeded to give me a rum and coke. read more

The music was kool the crowd was ok but the drinks where awesome I believe Claudia was her name the bartender she took care of my crew. If I could leave a 0 star review I would. Idk why they have a cover charge because they should charge ppl to come here. Not only was the music subpar but the drinks were watered down and overpriced. I still gave it a chance until I had to deal with this annoying guy harassing me and my friends. Usually when a guy is non stop harassing us we tell the bouncer about the situation and they kick him out. Last night, the bouncers were informed and they didn't do anything. I saw this guy harassing other groups of women. That took away from an already crappy experience. The security guards didn't seem to care and I even saw one vaping and blowing the smoke into the crowd goers. I didn't feel safe. I did eventually see him getting taken out but by then we had asked to close our tab and go. I've never had an experience like this before, especially in DTR. That was my first and last time going there and I'll make sure to tell my friends to go to other bars in DTR. Women should stay away from this unsafe place. read more

It was my first time yesterday and I can say I had one of the best times. The music was very good. They mostly play reggaeton, salsa, and some English music. The waitress we had was very nice and attentive. The inside restrooms were clean which is good. The drinks were also really good with a reasonable price. If YOU CAN, TRY to reserve seating inside! Unfortunately this place has a lot of potential with a terrible clientele. They have the prices and set up of an upscale speakeasy but the clientele are allowed to get up on all the tables and chairs and twerk. Not to mention the music is so loud you can't hear anything. I worked in night clubs half my adult life, this is some how louder. And a $250 bill for 2-3 appetizers and 6-7 drinks is outrageous. I have no idea how this place is still open. read more

I love the experience of great service while dining in with my girlfriend, I always say that food and drinks can be mediocre but if the service is outstanding, its a win for the costumer and for the business. I don't usually write reviews on here but today I feel I had to become DTE has a beautiful venue, great cocktails and most importantly PAOLO our server for that evening was phenomenal, he was very knowledgeable with the food menu and was able to guide us through our cravings, from appetizers, entrees and cocktails, I was even sold to get 1942 shots and that my friends its an amazing experience! I am only giving this place two SOLEY because the music is half ass decent. But other than that this place lacks customer service. The people at the front door are far from polite and lied about the cover to get in. When my friend lost her wallet they were far from helpful. They wouldn't let her go back in to find it. Made her back in line and pay another cover to go back inside to look for it. Then told her to call them but no one would answer her call. What kind of place of business treats customers like this? If they'll treat her like trash who else would they do this too? My suggestion is to go somewhere where there is better customer service. These people are tools! read more

Horrible horrible experience. Made reservations like a month in advance for Valentine's Day. Scoured the website up and down to make sure that we would be all ready for our date. We show up, my boyfriend is in khaki shorts and the guy at the door threatens to turn us away because my boyfriends outfit isn't "fashion forward" (yes they literally used this phrase) and broke dress code. There is no dress code posted or online. This man causes a scene and gets the general manager involved. The gm sat us anyways after we explained that we had reservations for a month and there was no reservations. At this point I was already unhappy but the manager had the AUDACITY to let a group of his friends in IN BASKETBALL SHORTS literally directly next to us after he had caused a scene and threatened to have us leave?? I brought it up how it was pretty unprofessional the way he was asking and he said "I already apologized to you guys". The food isn't worth the BS you have to deal with to get it. Or the price. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Our first time coming here was last night and sad to say we walked in and immediately walked out. The girl and gentlemen at the entrance need some customer service--or basic human decency--skills. We showed up around 9:30pm and the man says (after taking a hit of his vape pen) "so what are you here for?" And the woman goes "the kitchen is already closed, you guys can grab drinks at the bar." so we walked in anticipating to get drinks but the whole atmosphere was so unpleasant. I think the encounter with the two individuals before we even entered was such a disappointment that we decided to go somewhere else. We were excited to try their food or just to simply support a new location in riverside but the best choice we made that night was to leave. First time at this place and my experience was absolutely upsetting. I was there with my family that came from chile and Utah to have THE OWNER take our table while we were on the dance floor with our drinks there. When we approached the table one of the bartenders asked if we needed his assistance I explained to him my drinks where there and that was our table. The bartender ashamed apologized but said there is nothing I can do that is the owner. I found that absolutely disrespectful and horrible customer service. I paid $20 per person($80) to get in plus $100 in drinks! That's almost $200 to be moved to the back just because the owner decided he wanted to take our table. Not to mention when the grupo started playing the owner and his group got up by the stage to stand there the whole time and have the table empty! What a shame and a embarrassing situation to be in when you bring your family that traveled so far to "have a good time" to have this happen. Why because I didn't spend $500 on a bottle?? OK first of all let me start by saying there is a cover to get in on a Sunday afternoon which I don't mind but don't charge me sit then move me, We got sat at a nice table we were comfortably sat for about 45 minutes when they moved us saying that somebody ordered bottle service and wanted our table so we needed to move, they moved us outside to share a table with strangers which is not acceptable. How can you charge a customer to enter and have the hostess sit them down then have them move later due to bottle service? totally not customer service friendly. I mean come on... don't they have a staff meeting and brief their staff on what tables are ok to sit and which are not due to bottle service before they open. Secondly They don't check I.D's or give proper pat downs also known as body searches I literally had a guy stand next to me outside to smoke with a knife in his front right pocket. As a Safety operative for Insomniac and Goldenvoice I can totally tell you that in my 7 years of working EDC and Coachella if things were to go south it would be here. I came here twice and honestly i had a bad experience both times. They honestly don't care about your safety. The first time they left the gas running on the heater and just ignored it so my cousin got up to turn it off herself and they got upset because she did so. The second time i went i cut my hand on one of the tables and told a worker and they just shrugged and said they can't do anything. We attempted to make a reservation and were told for $700 we could ONLY have bottles of liquor, no food or cocktails. The manager was extremely rude and told us "if we can't Afford it to go elsewhere". Money was wasn't an issue, we just wanted to be sure we had a table reserved for our party of friends who were coming out of town and would like to have fed everyone for $700. You would think for a group who was willing to spend $700+ they would be more accommodating . So, we proceeded to show up as advised and request a table as they advised and were then told they weren't taking tables (in a half empty restaurant) and we could come back for the club an hour from that time for "club night." Need less to say we took our business elsewhere and won't be coming back here. Considering anytime I've walked past this place it's been damned near empty you would think they would welcome someone willing to spend that amount of money. read more
