    Buffalo wings

Dozer's is like taking a Time Machine back to the early 2000's. This is what Saratoga used to be like - causal neighborhood bar, locals and regulars hanging out with delicious (and fairly priced) food. Their wing special is one of the best deals going and what's even better than the price is the delicious flavor and perfect crisp of the wings. Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Grateful to see places like this still exist in Saratoga. An absolute hidden gem that is worth going back to time and time again.

The tavern equivalent of a mullet--business in the front, party in the back. The regulars know to park behind the building where their boss or spouse can't see their cars, which is why it appeared deserted at noon on Friday until we got inside. This is a spot for some serious drinking, pretty good griddled items (the meat loaf sandwich with melted cheese and a strip of bacon was excellent, and the burger platters other patrons were having looked good as did an entree salad), mediocre fried items (based on ordering the sampler which included most of them) and no pizza on offer. But like I say, the food takes back seat to the alcohol. Just be sure to put Saratoga Taxi on your speed dial before you go.

5 star service, I'll start off with that so you don't judge the stars based on their service. It's just what people are describing it as. Their wings are perfectly cooked and sauced. The mozzarella sticks are basic but cooked well with a nice Malba sauce. The turkey club and tuna melt were in my opinion a little under sauced and simple. The bread was over toasted too crispy for me to bite down lol kid you not! Look, it's a townie bar and a very good one at that. The people were friendly and the beers-a-flowin. So if you not on your first date. Come to Dozer's and enjoy the simplicity of a good meal and an interesting crowd.

So we got her plate of food yesterday and it was awesome. It should last for a few days the salad was fresh and a lovely tomatoes olives little cherry peppers cucumber and onions. At a lovely white balsamic vinegar there is a five slices of garlic butter bread. And the chicken was beautiful too big pieces I think it's too she got one third I got one quarter and the rest is going to get her through the rest of the week with everything else in her apartment. It had arugula on it fresh cut tomatoes some onion slices and parmesan cheese on top. The breading was perfect they put a lemon cut in half on either corners of the tray. Everything's packaged so well. The order online is so easy. I think at the end of the week they have less desserts but they still have desserts. They're strawberry cake is awesome I got that months ago with the shrimp scampi risotto which was awesome. The menu doesn't say it comes with a salad but the family meals come with a salad. If it does say it comes with the salad I can't find it. Everything is so easy and so good. They're right on rolling Street and look what looks like used to be a small ranch house but they have it designed really lovely. I wish they were closer to where I am off exit 15. We were in a hurry no pictures were taken but our stomachs were mightily satisfied. Our taste buds quite enjoyed all the flavors. They are strictly a business you go to because you are ordering food to take home which I like. I like to take my food and bring it home to sit on the couch and watch some tv.

I was looking for a restaurant to go when we were in Saratoga Springs in this restaurant looked…read morelike it had a really good menu so we decided to go there. I requested to sit at the chef's table because I really do like to see what's going on in the kitchen and our reservation is at 7:15 and we arrived a half hour early and we're able to be sat so that was nice. We were greeted by one of the servers in the restaurant and then shortly after another came by and asked if we wanted still or sparkling water and that our server would be there with us in a second. It took a little bit longer for our server to come by and he took our drink orders. The line chef started to realize that our server was taking quite a while so we asked us what he wanted him to start so that he can relay it to our server when he got around to us, and I thought that was very nice and great that he recognized that we were waiting for quite a while. Our server finally came back with our drinks and asked what we wanted to get started and we told him that they already started our appetizers. He also didn't come back for quite a while after that and he finally asked us what we wanted for dinner and he didn't ask how the food was or anything. He just said OK cool and put in our food order. When we got our actual entrée, I had the New York strip steak and my husband had the scallops and they were very good. We ordered those entrées because the line chef said they were good and we wouldn't be disappointed and we were not. Our server finally came back around after everyone else buster plates and asked if we wanted anything for dessert and we already made up our mind what we wanted. I ordered the coconut rice pudding and my husband ordered the pistachio cheesecake. Both of those were also very good highly recommend them if you have room at the end of your meal. Our server then came back with our bill and just randomly said he took off one of our desserts because of the weight which was nice but he didn't really acknowledge anything else. We thought it was very odd but also we were happy about that. This restaurant was very good and I think the staff is very in tuned to what's going on in the restaurant if something is not as it should and they communicate to others if they need to start food for people or accommodate other people's needs so that's the only reason that I'm giving it a 4 because the server we had wasn't great but the food and everything else was awesome.

Located right on the corner of U.S. Route 9 and Malta Ave in Ballston Spa, the outside is pretty low-key. The parking lot was a bit dark, with most of the light coming from the building itself but don't let that fool you. You walk in and you're right at the bar , with plenty of seating barside or table, if that's your vibe. Not into sitting up front? No problem, there's additional seating in the back for a more relaxed feel. Service was a win. Our waiter was courteous, attentive, and accommodating without hovering. Now the food, the Gooouda Burger caught my eye immediately. I ordered it bunless, wrapped in buttery romaine lettuce, topped with crispy bacon and fried onions. Paired it with their straw fries (seriously good) and a cold beer to wash it down. First bite? Exactly what you want. Food to temp, everything was crisp not soggy, the burger was cooked perfectly, even at well done, which is not easy to pull off. I can only speak for the burger, but based on that alone: don't judge this place by its exterior. Give it a shot, you might be pleasantly surprised. (And yes... the picture is of a burger I couldn't wait to bite into )

My better half had a Cosmopolitan, which she enjoyed. Started with the charcuterie board (You choose a total of five meats and cheeses). For cheese we selected Burrata (cream filled mozzarella), Drunken Goat (goat / red wine dipped) and Parmigiano (cow / the real thing). The meats were Serrano Ham (dry cured Spanish ham) and Speck Ham (dry cured and lightly smoked Italian ham). OMG. Delicious. And the portions were on the hearty size. For a main I had the Mussels (garlic, butter, white wine, chili and fennel pollen). Another OMG. It was divine, and we had bread to soak up that wonderful sauce. We also had the Lobster Pizza (lobster, tomato cream, spinach, leeks, roasted cherry tomatoes, ricotta and grana padano). This was only ok. Not enough lobster, in my opinion. Overall, a very good meal before the concert.

The remaining slices were essentially on the darker side of well-done, almost burnt ends. For a restaurant positioned as an upscale dining destination on Broadway in Saratoga Springs, I expected much better. The quality of the steak was more in line with what I'd expect from a chain like Applebee's than a higher-end establishment. The service started out excellent, but unfortunately declined as the meal went on. By the end of the evening, we felt largely forgotten.
