Because it's a franchise you might think all locations are the same but the DQ on Dixie WPB is the best - the way years of patronage (since I was 10 in Ohio) says DQ should be. Some DQs don't serve authentic DQ mix or they dilute it to save money, but the franchisee who operates this DQ is first class. He serves authentic DQ and in generous portions. I don't know how anyone could give this Dairy Queen location a bad review. This Dairy Queen is the epitome of class and guest service. They are very accommodating and kind to their customers. The ice cream is always perfectly made and they add an abundance of toppings to your blizzard order. Stopped to use their very clean bathrooms! Customer service was excellent! The blizzards and peanut buster parfait was on point as usual. There is no DQ close to my home so on the way back from Miami my husband and I decided to try this one. So glad we did! Very clean and accessible including the huge bathrooms. While I'm not a "Dairy Queen aficionado", my buddy loves this place and every time he's in palm beach, we end up here a few times. As a result, I've been to this location many times in the last few years. Every time we go, we receive really thoughtful, friendly and fun service. I've learned this as I observe the owner (who also manages) interact with his employees. Being a younger guy, he is really patient and respectful, yet still an effective business owner. It actually really touched my heart, this guy seems to really care about positively mentoring his young employees. Sure refreshing to see teenagers engaged in their jobs and actually connecting with the customers. Lots of respect for this guy and the way he runs his business. And whatever we order is always exactly what you'd expect and quite enjoyable. read more

Terrible Dairy Queen location. I always go to the one on Lake Worth rd but decided to try this location. I always get a Blizzard and pay for extra for any topping I decide to get. I got my Blizzard and it was almost all ice cream. Then when I approached the old lady inside to have them add more because I paid for more she said it was fine. She did not take the initiative to try to fix the situation she just wanted to be the stubborn old lady she is and just say I will refund you. Which was fine with me because if you don't know how to make it I don't want it. Hopefully the owner sees this because they are losing money. The employees from this location should go to the Dairy Queen in Lake Worth or the Delray Beach location to learn how to make them properly. read more

This is my favorite place! Every Friday when I come home from work, I stop at the DQ drive-thru or go in store for a large cookie dough blizzard (extra cookie dough). This is my jam! It's what I look forward to at the end of each week. Then I take a slow stroll down US1/Dixie Highway back home while indulging myself in loads of cookie dough. Slowest Dairy Queen ever!! Not really sure what this place's deal is but my friend and I ordered blizzards and had to wait like 20 minutes for them after ordering. The place was complete chaos and people had to keep going up to the counter for forgotten items. Maybe employees need more training or staff? This location didn't participate in Free Cone Day on March 16. Instead of giving out a free cone, there were signs saying, "Free Cone with Any Purchase." Why bother advertising it if you're not going participate? The radio and TV news announced the free cone day all morning. I would have donated money to the Children's Miracle Network ( the charity that was to get donations in exchange for a free come) in lieu of paying for a cone but left when I saw the signs. The manager was explaining the free cone with any purchase deal to a customer on the phone. He sounded rude and reminded the cashier to tell customers the deal was a free cone with any purchase. The vibe in there felt hostile. We decided to leave without getting anything. read more

On the way home from an outing and had to stop for an ice cream cone. A nostalgic afternoon called for a childhood treat, and this particular Dairy Queen was in a convenient location. A chocolate dipped waffle cone with some soft serve chocolate hit the spot. The gentleman who waited on me was kid and courteous, and extremely efficient.
