It looks like the owner simply decided to plop down a couple of chairs and tables in the salon with no build out.

The best advice is that no one should come to this particular store as it represents the worst experience of quality of food at this franchise in 32 years. The place is brand new yet unappealing. Out of the three entrees we ordered half of them were not cooked properly. We were starving and where only able to eat half of our food. It's funny because people come here only because there's really not many other choices around the immediate area as they even had closed down the close by tacos Al carbon store in a couple of blocks down recently so patrons don't have much of a choice for a 15 to 20 block distance of restaurants. Since Yelp has started and I opened my account this particular review is my worst recommendation of all time and that says a lot based upon my followers and being a foodie myself. The best advice is to go somewhere else until these guys get the act straight. I can only imagine what their corporate headquarters in Miami would say if they visited here they would shut them down immediately. I couldn't give less than one star so that's why it even has one star.

I would not recommend this location. I ordered on the app and my order wasn't ready as promised nor had it been started. The associate handling my order clearly needed more training. She appeared confused. My order was prepared properly and the ingredients in the tropichop were plentiful. It even looked pretty! On the downside, the chicken was dry as a bone. This is the first time I've ever encountered this issue at Pollo Tropical. Thank God I had curry mustard to drown the chicken so it would be palatable. I probably wouldn't return to this location.

I always come to this Pollo tropical the manager just told me I only get 10 croutons for a large chicken Caesar salad I can go right over here to Winn-Dixie and a whole bag cost $1.89 she gave me so I asked for another extracroutons she charge me a dollar and gave me 10 more croutons this is the most pathetic thing I've ever encountered at any restaurant the manager at this location today June 17 2024 8:45 PM i'm here at least once a day five days a week andover 10 croutons this lady manager here just lost a real good customer

This is supposed to be a chicken wing.

Of all the Pollo Tropical locations I have been to in Palm Beach County, this one needs the most help. It takes a lot for me to go out of my way to write something negative about a restaurant. I've had inconveniences at this place over the years, but it was never enough to really bother me. I ordered the wings as it was my favorite item from them back when they had it years ago. I was sad when the removed it. Getting to the point - I thought these were supposed to be fresh? I felt deflated after I saw the person take the wings out of the assembly line container that you see at a fast food burger place. How long were they sitting there? Yeah, I should have said something there. It was a to-go order. I also should have checked them on the spot. Shame on me that I didn't. I opened them up in my car and what I got looked old, stale, and burnt. It was the lunch rush hour. The line was near the door and it had already taken me a long time to get my order. I was so hungry I didn't have the energy to go back. YOLO. They were awful. You'll notice in the pictures I did eat four of five wings. If old and burnt chicken wings is your thing, order them from here. The fifth wing had no meat at all. The outside was cripsy and had a burnt shell of some sort. I poked it with my finger and it broke. Not edible at all. I filled out the complaint form on their website as well. I still like Pollo Tropical as a whole, but just not this location.

I tend to eat at this pollo but the avocados I got today just made me sick to my stomach!!! Why would you put black rotting avocado that smell in someone's food!?!?

Curiosity finally got me but really I wanted to go to a sandwich shop but they didn't have my order available lol I ordered ahead, and thank goodness, because the line was wrapped. I don't think this location was designed well. The line blocks the side door, and the ordering area inside is pretty small, which made everything feel chaotic. I went straight to the pickup side of the counter and inquired about my order. The food wasn't ready yet and took about another 7 minutes, but I wasn't tripping since they were clearly slammed. I believe the associate's name was Bri, and she was nice with good customer service, which I appreciated. Food-wise, I was slightly disappointed. The tenders were a good size, and everything was cooked well. I ordered two sliders, even though I don't really like bread like that, one hot and one medium. They were marked, but honestly looked the same and tasted the same. Both were very mild, no real heat at all. I think they messed up my order, at least I hope so cause otherwise dubya tee eff, Dave. I added Dave's sauce and honey like the good people of TikTok told me to do lol, but the food was still just okay. I ended up eating most of the second tender by itself, and it didn't have much flavor. At least the chicken wasn't dry. The fries were crisp, and I grabbed some cheese sauce to go with them. I liked all the pickles and was hoping I could use them to cool off the hot sammich, but you see that didn't go as planned! Overall, I'd say try Dave's if you're curious. I'm not opposed to giving it another shot, but I'm in no rush.

Finally, a Dave's opened at this location on Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. Great location, great service with a smile, and the hot chicken was as good as I remembered it in California. Located on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard in the same plaza as City Furniture and Dunkin' Donuts, Dave's serves excellent hot chicken tenders with all the various heat levels ranging from no spice/heat to Reaper. For my first trip, I ordered online ahead of time their chicken tenders-and-fries meal with a 10-piece of chicken bites. Each came on white bread with a side of pickles and sauce. For the chicken tenders, I could choose a heat level for each. I went with the medium heat and the very hot heat. For the chicken bites, you could either order them with no spice, medium, or hot, which I chose the latter. For the chicken itself, excellently cooked, well-breaded, and fried to perfection, with a firm coating of seasoning. Based on the heat level, you can choose from no spice (no heat level) all the way up to Reaper, which incorporates Carolina Reaper powder into the seasoning mixture. Each of the bites and tenders I ordered was incredibly delicious and deeply satisfying. Heat-wise, Dave's delivers in spades. The Medium heat selection offers a hint of heat that will leave most people satisfied without being too hot. The Hot heat level was the perfect level of heat and flavor that you could eat all day, in my opinion. The Chicken Bites also reheat well for leftovers, which I used in my omelette the next morning. The Very Hot heat level brings the spice up a notch, where the heat starts to overtake the flavor, but only slightly. For someone like me, it was still delicious even if I was starting to sweat. For most, it may be too much, but they aren't heat eaters either. Next time I go, I'll try the Reaper heat level on one of the tenders to better compare, and see how far this Dave's goes to bring the heat. But the location is excellent. My food was ready when I arrived. The staff behind the counter were friendly and asked if I needed extra sauce, utensils, and more napkins. And with two high-ceilinged dining rooms that allow for those who don't want to sit near the ordering counter to have a little more quiet, it works well. Especially, with the colorful and stylish interior that's very pleasing to the eye, this Dave's is a winner.

She waited until we were seated to hand us or menus and it didn't feel rushed. Gabby, our server, showed confidence and love for the place when she introduced herself. They make everything from scratch here and Gabby sold us on the eggrolls and mac and cheese to start. However, before those could arrive, Rachel came by with an order of biscuits for us. These were absolutely to die for and the gesture was very kind. The eggrolls, bbq sauce, and ranch were the highlight of our food adventure here. You could tell this was all freshly made. We both ordered burgers and those were very good, hearty, and not greasy. Their house sauce B1 added a perfect element of smokiness to the burger. Gabby's service ensured we always had refills, never had to ask for anything, and the table was always clean. Rachel stopped by and checked on us and also gave us cute glasses to take home with us and coupons to come back for happy hour for some "off menu snacking". Curious and hungry, we decided to check it out. The restaurant is located in a small shopping plaza, and I have to admit, the dark tinted windows made the place seem a little questionable at first glance. I actually got out of the car to peek inside before committing. Once I saw several people dining and enjoying themselves, we decided to give it a shot. Inside, the restaurant was tastefully decorated with a charming Dominican countryside flair. Even the bathrooms had a playful sense of humor that added character to the place. Service started off promptly, and we were seated right away with menus in hand. However, while browsing the menu, I quickly realized that despite the restaurant's name, there were very limited Puerto Rican options aside from the different varieties of mofongo. The menu was overwhelmingly Dominican cuisine, which was a bit disappointing since we specifically came looking for Puerto Rican dishes. We ordered the empanada de cangrejo to start, which was flavorful and freshly made. We also shared the mofongo with masitas fritas, and I will say the food itself was well seasoned, hearty, and satisfying. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the food. Our waitress lacked warmth and wasn't particularly attentive. What stood out the most was that she didn't know what sorullos or alcapurrias were, which caught me completely off guard considering we were searching for Puerto Rican cuisine. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the experience didn't fully meet our expectations. If you're looking for Dominican-style mofongo dishes, you may enjoy it. But if you're specifically craving traditional Puerto Rican cuisine, this may not quite hit the mark.
