Super stylish and bright coffee spot near San Pedro square and one block from downtowns Main Street in SJ offers a really nice yet minimal drink options with a cool spacious sitting area. They have cool merch and yummy drinks even seasonal ones with really nice service. Your pets are welcomed as long as they are well behaved. One star for lack parking options but well deserved 4 stars for the rest! Love that my drink was not super sweet and they accommodated my wanting it in the cup I bought and even cleaned it before serving my coffee in it! Reward program too is a plus, come and check them out!
I find myself coming back to Dr.ink time and time again. I just loveee their drinks and am impressed by their seasonal menu. My usual go-to is their black sesame latte; probably my favorite spot to get a black sesame latte in San Jose. Not too sweet or milky! This month, I tried their earl grey latte. The drink wasn't as tea forward as I had hoped for, but it was still delicious nonetheless! This cafe is pretty modern with great natural lighting. It seems like a good study spot, but there is limited seating. Space is always clean and the staff are friendly.
I was super excited to try this place due to all the hype however I thought it was mid. I asked if they could change an ingredient however refused and didn't give any alternative options, which I was a little disappointed. I ordered the pistachio latte however thought it was okay. The pistachio flavor wasn't very present. I also ordered the butterscotch latte and it was good, flavorful. Overall, this place is good but not great.
One of my favorite coffee spots in downtown San Jose! I love the modern and minimalist vibe. Their specialty drinks are always delicious. We ordered the pistachio latte, peppermint mocha latte, and cold brew, and everything was amazing. We've been here many times, and it's consistently wonderful every visit. The staff are very nice and friendly.
i love the interior of this cafe. If i lived nearby i would definitely come here to study. My boyfriend and i both got the iced chocolate strawberry latte with oat milk. i asked the cashier if it was possible to make it without the chocolate and they were able to accommodate. they havent served it that way before, so they were unsure if the sweetness would be good, but i was still willing to try it out. my boyfriend and i actually liked it that way. he said his drink (with chocolate) was actually too sweet for him. i would definitely try some other drinks if im in the area again.
Was in the area, so I went to get a drink here. I remember when this place opened, they had these blue and pink drinks. I kinda miss it. But the past is now gone and they have a new menu. Hojicia (4/5): it was probably my fault that I got this less sweet, but I thought it was okay. The full sweetness would've brought out the full potential of this drink. Found this spot by chance when staying in the area and wanted a tea. The spot usually has their doors open and has large windows so there is plenty of sunlight and fresh air. It is also very clean. They have a menu on the wall, but you can also order online. They sell some pastries and sometimes have a pop-up pastry stall inside. The drinks can take some time for them to make, so be prepared for the wait. They had so many options that the first time I came I ordered the peach tea and the black sesame latte. The peach tea was delicious but extremely sweet. If there's a way to tone that sweetness down, I would get it again. On my second visit I only got the black sesame coffee, since I enjoyed it so much the first time. This spot has become a regular stop whenever I'm in the area.
Good place to stop in to get a quick coffee or drink. The place is cute but small with limited seating and lots of noise. This is a place where you grab your drink and continue on your walk through the city. Since I don't drink caffeine I was happy to see they had a few fun options for me to choose from. It can get packed in here so just keep that in mind depending on the time you visit, there is also in one size for all the drinks.
Beautiful cafe with minimalist design and creative menu, super close to San Pedro Square. Just visited around 11:30am on a Saturday. The line was short, but signs noted there was a wait time of 20 mins, so def plan ahead. Staff were super friendly and the interior of the cafe is so stylish; there's not too much seating, and spots fill very quickly but it's a cute spot to enjoy your coffee if you can snag a seat. The menu is filled with specialty drinks making it tough to decide, but I ordered the seasonal blueberry latte. The drink wasn't too sweet, with a hint of blueberry - loved the cream top and how smooth it was. A great summer bevvie. Would definitely try more of their signatures. Highly recommend! read more

Got the vanilla latte and the taste of vanilla is actually super delicious! The vanilla flavor is strong, sweet, and floral. It's the type of vanilla flavored syrup that felt like it is freshly made at home! I'm so glad I came back to try out something new! The coffee beans tastes more on the acidic/citrus side (kind of like a light or medium roast). It's not typically my favorite type of roasted beans, but the syrup makes it up for it! Can't wait to come back again :) read more
First time trying this place and was surprised at how busy it was. It seemed to be a super popular spot. I loved the interior. So simple, modern and yet very inviting at the same time. It gave such a vibe. Loved all the plants too!! We were craving boba and coffee but we didn't realize there's no boba lol. It's okay, I was able to try such a yummy drink. Thai Brûlée. The egg pudding was deliciouswith the burnt sugar. I highly recommend. The cashier, David was very helpful with recommending drinks to my hubby. He recommended cold brew with oat milk foam. It was super good and not sweet. Also, he was just very welcoming and had great customer service. Parking is challenging since it is next to San Pedro square. Might have to go park at the garage and just walk or if you're lucky you can find parking nearby. Overall, I'd come back and try other drinks. read more

I always enjoy visiting Dr.ink to try their crafted lattes! They're located in downtown San Jose near San Pedro Square. Since I've been in this area a couple times, I've been able to walk over here for a mid-day coffee. The shop has a minimalistic vibe and is quite small, so it's best for a grab and go. I've tried the Black Sesame Latte and Chocolate Strawberry Latte, both drinks were delicious and made for a great afternoon drink. If you're in the area, give them a try! read more
i visited and got the osmanthus latte. i wanted to try their hojicha foam oolong team but they took it off their seasonal menu. the latte was not very sweet, just a hint of sweetness and the osmanthus flavor came through. there were bits of fermented rice in it which i didn't realize until after. i feel like the drink would be better with osmanthus jelly instead of the rice or no rice at all. overall a good drink that wasn't overly sweet or floral but would go without the rice. inside is cute and modern with limited seating. service was quick read more

What a great cafe! I came with a friend to have a wfh / work / study date and it was great. There aren't not too many seating options, so you'll have to be lucky with obtaining a spot. I don't see many outlets/plugs, so you should have your electronics charged prior to coming. There is free WiFi however. There is street parking and a parking garage around the corner, so it is a convenient location for the most part. I got an Earl Grey Latte and my friend got the Black Sesame (Ink) drink - less sweet. Both were soooooo yummy! Highly recommend both (though they are on the sweeter side - even with adjustments, but I generally have a sweet tooth so I don't mind). I'm usually not the biggest fan of black sesame, but I'd get that in a heartbeat next time. Service was also very friendly! Baristas are nice and helpful. Will definitely return to try out their other items. read more

Not bad, but I would not recommend the black sesame latte for black sesame lovers since it just tastes like regular latte (very subtle black sesame flavor). The latte itself is pretty good, but I'd prefer a thicker black sesame flavor. I do like the store vibe and the straw they used though. I also tried a sip of their earl grey latte and it definitely stood out more. read more
Lovely cafe! Lots of natural light and very minimalistic/clean. Appreciated their selection of seasonal drinks, they seemed creative and very unique! I ordered the tiramisu latte and everything pull apart bread. The tiramisu latte tasted a bit more like a creamy vanilla latte than it did true tiramisu, but was still good nonetheless. Would definitely go back to try the black sesame latte. The everything pull apart bread had the buttery consistency of a croissant and was full of rich onion flavor. My friend ordered a match latte with 50% sweetness and it tasted like genuinely strong, high-quality matcha. Bathrooms were super clean. Not a ton of seating, probably not the best place to study/work in, but perfect for Saturday morning coffee. Came around 9:30am and there was no line, but one quickly formed as we were leaving! read more

Go To Coffee and Cortados!! Excellent coffee. True rich flavor always just right, and when I say always I mean almost every other week for the past year!!! This is seriously great coffee and I have the Cortado with oatmilk. The goodies & treats are grand and street parking is just fine. The team always looks focused, busy and productive. If you wear something with a cat on it you will def spark a smile or two! Good crowd so be ready to wait a bit but it does move well. Not a ton of room to sit. Five Stars and Five Hearts love this place, they are the BEST of San Jose and Beyond!!!! read more
Service was good. They seemed to be staffed well. I did order my drink for pick up and the wait wasn't that long. Cortado was very good. I got vanilla flavor and it was perfect mix of creamy, not too sweet and nice bitter coffee flavor. The black sesame I didn't like as much. I had different black sesame drinks that felt were better. I look forward to maybe trying other flavors. The place does get packed. read more

I'm pretty sure this is the best coffee spot in San Jose. Their butterscotch latte is always good. Their seasonal stuff is fun to try. The place is nice and clean. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. It's been busy a couple times but my order always comes out quickly. The only thing I hate about this place is that they got rid of their pink drink (and their strawberry ice cream) because it was one of my favorite drinks ever. It was like a strawberry Nesquik that didn't murder my stomach. Please bring it back haha. read more
Dr. Ink is a very nice modern drink spot in Downtown SJ. The interior is very beautiful and modern with limited seating, just outside of Pedro Square. They have a nice menu of drink options including matcha, yuzu and ube! I'd say for plain lattes and coffees, not a bad spot but for drinks that require mix with sugars or syrups if you're seeking lower options or customizing? This is not really the spot. I've been back here 3 times over the course of the year. The service is very passive aggressive, not a very good experience. I felt as a customer apologetic for asking for drink modifications. This spot does not do any of that, so I highly discourage those seeking any adj to the drinks (sweetness, ice, or milk) to come to this spot, they give some attitude when you try to ask for this. Their menu does not clearly advertise what levels of sweetness or customization or not, so it's an odd experience with the service they provide. I'd probably go to voyager or a spot nearby that is willing to make modifications to drinks. read more
I came here after having lunch in downtown San Jose and ordered a strawberry fruithie, raspberry lychee sparkling, and a seasonal s'mores mocha drink. I like that dr.ink offers a variety of Asian-inspired fruit drinks, coffees, and teas that involve combinations flavors that aren't typically utilized. The raspberry lychee was my favorite by far, I wish the sugar level was adjustable! It was refreshing and the carbonation added the right amount of tang. The s'mores mocha was definitely an intriguing combination, I was surprised that I hadn't seen it before from other cafes. It was pretty good, but it was simultaneously very bitter and very sweet at the same time! If you're someone who prefers more mild drinks, I'd say that that specific order wouldn't be up your alley. read more

I loved this place. The inside is very minimalistic and the workers are very nice. It is a nice study places with a good amount of tables located in downtown San Jose. Check their Instagram for where to park!!!! The matcha yuzu drink had distinct citrus and strong matcha tastes which I loved. The strawberry cheesecake was also a good balance of coffee and sweetness which was good. Overall this place is a solid study cafe and I hope to come back. read more

It's been pretty busy the times I've been able to visit (12:00pm, 2:00pm, 1:00pm) nonetheless, team is so wonderful at getting through it while also making delicious drinks every-time so far! That's all a talent on its own. their kindness and efficiency while also curating a great drink! So just be patient, it's sooo worth it parking is something you should be prepared to be patient with as you might have to do some loops around the building unless you're okay with a nice walk from elsewhere :) The shop is small and can get a little crowded but other than that their decor is minimal but creates a cozy energy (atleast I think so) Easily has become one of my favorites and will be recommending to friends and family! read more

Super quick, personable service! I dropped in during lunch time and it was full. Although full, the person taking my order was friendly and quick! My order came out expeditiously. I ordered the cinnamon latte, it was delightfully creamy and perfect hint of cinnamon. Presentation was most definitely a piece of art, I had to snap a pic before grabbing it off the counter. Modern setting, it was a little cold in temperature. Parking is kind of a drag as it is metered street parking. So you'd have to add .25 - .50 cents to the cost of your coffee. read more
I'm OBSESSED. As someone who lives for aesthetic, high-quality cafés, dr.ink checked all the boxes. The earl grey latte was TOO smooth. The earthiness of the earl grey paste combined with the bitterness of the espresso is such an underrated combo. It was so good that I thought about making some earl grey infused milk for my cappuccinos at home. It was the perfect amount of sweetness for me, and I typically drink unsweetened coffee. The peanut butter latte was both creamy and refreshing. The addition of a few Reese's puffs as a topping really pulled it together, and it I felt like I was drinking an elevated cereal. Dr.ink does an amazing job of creating specialized drinks where multiple flavors are able to shine through without being overwhelming. I can't wait to come back and try more lattes. This was a last minute visit before our flight took off, and I was in need of a matcha latte. We had some time before we had to board, so I looked up the closest cafe to the SNJ airport which was Dr.Ink! Although small, it was nicely spaced and designed. There was simplicity in their appearance but it still stands out. I observed the baristas as they got the drinks completed and out. They made good conversations with the patrons and regulars. I got my matcha latte and was off. It was much needed for my flight and I am happy to have visited. If I am back in San Jose, I'd love to try the rest of their menu read more

Wanted something different today and substituted caffeine for the Pink Hour drink! I didn't think I would like this, but it was actually pretty good! One of Dr.Ink's creations, made of strawberry puree, milk, yogurt, and cream top. So delicious and right amount of sweetness... and it's pink. I can never get enough of this place!!!! This spot has been on my list for quite a while to come check out and I finally got a chance. The space is really nice and there's a good amount of seating. In addition to their regular menu, they also have seasonal drinks. I got the black sesame latte and it came out super quick. The thick layer of black sesame foam was super tasty and intently mix it with the coffee the whole drink was really delicious! The butterscotch latte is their best seller so I'll definitely be back to try that. read more

It is in such a perfect location! The interior is a perfect hangout to chat with a friend or to focus on work. I have tried two drinks so far; the sesame latte, and the rosee latte. I loved the sesame flavor, but the coffee itself was a little too strong for me, which I now know for next time I can ask for it to be it a little sweeter -- which I will be doing. Today I tried the rose latte and it was so perfect. It's probably one of the best rose latte I've ever had. This will probably be my go to spot moving forward :) Staff are nice. read more
Cool minimalist interior with a drop of green plant life. A little pricey, especially the lattes. They ran out of drip coffee, so I got a passable Americano. Nothing special, but it got the job done. I like the large windows, which can be fun for some people watching as San Pedro Square is across the street. Also, I like the way the sun reflected off the almost 20 floor apartment building kitty-corner from the cafe. read more

Love visiting here for a lil sweet treat or pick me up! This is a good cafe for casual convos or doing work with light chatter. The interior is also nice and has a lot of natural lighting. The latte flavors are usually pretty balanced and there's just enough caffeine to fight the midday sleepiness. It's fun visiting once in a while since they do a monthly rotation of different drink flavors. The Corn Latte is by far my favorite seasonal drink! read more
Modern coffee shop with limited amount of seating. They have some unique drinks. I got the black sesame latte. It has a subtle black sesame flavor and a good coffee aftertaste. Mixed well and the black sesame cream is creamy. Service was good and drinks came out fairly quick. Looking forward to try the Thai brûlée. read more

So is clean and inviting, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My husband got the Vcinnamon Latte it wasn't sweet enough for him so I made it sweeter once we got home and then he enjoyed it. I REALLY enjoyed my Hazelnut Latte and liked that they added cooed hazelnuts on top, it was a nice touch and added a lil surprise in some sips. I will be back read more

One of my fave beverage spots in SJ! Dr.ink offers a wide variety of beverages, with flavors that cater to all kinds of palettes--so there's something for everyone. I usually go for the iced Dark Chocolate Latte or Black Sesame Latte, and my bf is a huge fan of the Pink Hour. Their seasonal menu is also worth checking out--you might just come across a hidden gem. :-) The space is super cute, with an industrial-meets-minimalist aesthetic. There's also plenty of natural light and a decent amount of seating, making it a great spot to study or work. Customer service is nice and quick, though I don't often interact much with the baristas as I prefer to order online for pickup. Since the store is located in DTSJ, parking can be difficult to find on most days. Fingers-crossed they'll offer delivery one day hehe. read more

One of my fave places in SJ to get a drink! My all time favorite that I used to always get was the strawberry drink that they had, I remember I had it in like slushy form and regular drink form. The aesthetic of this place is unbeatable, I just love the vibes. The baristas are also pretty friendly so thats nice. I got a Tiramisu Latte this week which is one of their seasonal drinks and I would rate it a 10/10 - wish they have it as a regular drink in the menu lol read more
