Banana matcha , block latte w Lego men
Kristina K.

Ive been wanting to try this place for sooo long and it did not disappoint! A South Korean cafe vibe with delish quality coffee and matcha! Service was so sweet eat and friendly and fast! I went right in the morning on a weekday around 8:30. There is a small parking lot which I appreciated. Seating in the back of the store and in the front there is a cute Polaroid sticker Photo Booth! You can stick your sticker on the wall or take it with you! Loved this fun aspect! I got the block latte and the banana matcha. Both phenomal. I got a choice of which ice I wanted, maybe bc it wasn't too busy , but I loved that and chose Lego people. I'm def going to be back!!!

banana matcha $ einspanner coffee

Located in South San Jose we went to try this spot for the first time. They have a cute photo booth in the main area where it prints out a photo sticker where you can post on their walls. I tried the banana matcha and my boyfriend tried the einspanner coffee. The banana matcha had good flavor and was not overly sweet which I liked. The einspanner coffee is good and I suggest to add the sweetener as it normally does not have sweetener.

Wish this was closer! So many fun drinks that I wanted to try, but had to get the banana matcha latte with oat milk. No big batch matcha here and real banana. Presentation is 10/10 and flavor is delicious! Service was very friendly and quick! The inside is too cute, love the minimalist vibes and free Photo Booth.

Yuzu Berry Tea, Banana Matcha, Matcha Einspanner, Double Matcha, Block Coffee

Some yummy drinks with a few misses. My friend and I tried 5 drinks total. We both agreed that the double matcha was the best tasting. Super generous with the matcha foam with a creamy matcha base. It wasn't too sweet and the matcha flavor shined through. The banana matcha and matcha einspanner were pretty good too, but the foams were less impressive and more artificial tasting. I also really enjoyed the yuzu berry tea. So refreshing!!! The block coffee itself was a hard pass for me. Takes forever to melt and just tasted like milk with watered down coffee. A cute concept of a drink but not well executed. Interior is clean, sleek, and modern. They have a little seating area towards the back of the shop, and a photo booth in the front that prints your picture out as a sticker. Cute spot to chill! Drinks came out fairly quick as well.

My daughter's basketball league is close by and was excited to find Block. The aesthetics coming in was super cute, nice clean and chic. They have a cute little Photobooth area that provides free photos, a nice touch! I ordered the pistachio latte and loved it! I'm not usually a pistachio girly but it was advertised so I decided to give it a try. Loved the flavors and nuttiness! Thought it could be a tad sweeter, but that's my preference since I like my drinks sweet. Price point was a little above average, but that's expected now in the Bay Area. They have a cute little seating area in the back as well. Def coming back to try other yummy drinks!

Block latte and banana matcha

Cute cafe in South San Jose that does a variety of trendy and classic coffee and matcha beverages! My boyfriend got the Block Latte (an iced latte that's iced with coffee) and I got the banana matcha, which totaled to $18. $20 for 2 drinks is quite steep, in my opinion. The cream top was very thick and came with a slice of freeze dried banana and some biscoff crumbs that added a delicious crunchy texture to the drink that wasn't offputting at all. The banana flavor is very infused and pairs well with the matcha here. The Block Latte was strong, even before the iced block of coffee melted! It came in an adorable My Melody shape. Very tasty and a nice jolt of caffeine for the day. Seating in the back is tucked away and limited but surprisingly full on weekends! Lots of young students here chatting and getting work done. I hope that Block Coffee continues to experience success, because cute cafes like these in south side come by infrequently.

My friend and I drove about 40 minutes to try Block, and it definitely did not disappoint. We got the Earl Grey Matcha and the Matcha Einspanner, and both were really good. I don't usually see a lot of places that offer Earl Grey Matcha, so I had to try it, and it ended up being one of the best I've had. The flavors were really well balanced, with the matcha and Earl Grey blending together smoothly without overpowering each other. The Matcha Einspanner was also really nice, especially with the creamy top that made the drink feel rich but still smooth. The café itself is really clean and nicely designed, and the soft music playing in the background made the whole vibe feel calm and relaxing. It's the kind of place where you can just sit and enjoy your drink without feeling rushed. The people there were also really nice, which made the experience even better.

My father was offended that I took him to a coffee shop meant for teenagers lol! It's a trendy and simple spot, and yes, it caters to the youngins! There's a sticker photo booth where you can take pics for free and stick your photo on their walls or windows. It's super cute to see all the friendship displayed, and it gives people something to do while waiting for their order. I ordered the iced banana matcha with oat milk, probably the best matcha I've bought in a long time. You get both the matcha and banana flavors, and they top it with banana chips. Highly recommend. My dad got a small hot coffee, and I guess the coffee was barely warm. The seating area is super simple, not really decorated, and kind of narrow. You get a view of Blossom Hill's main road, which isn't really interesting to look at. For my order, 5 stars. For the overall experience (including the lukewarm coffee) and the limited seating, unfortunately I have to dock a few stars. The staff was pleasant, and I'd go back for the matcha specifically and take it to go.

I am on the hunt for the best lattes in the South Bay. The interior was so beautiful and neutral and modern. I asked the girls for the most delicious latte on the menu and they recommended the pistachio latte. It was $9.29 for the drink, which is pretty steep. The drink itself looked beautiful with cold foam and pistachio bits on top. However, I found the drink to be bitter - even with whole milk. I mixed in the cold foam and it was just ok. Kind of let down - quite an expensive drink that fell flat for me. I wouldn't waste your money here.

Matcha Einspanner

Came back just cause we were near by and the first thing I noticed was the cups got bigger! The cups are now 16oz rather than 12oz, however, they did increase the price by $2. Take that as you will. Matcha Einspanner -the cream top reminds me of a vanilla ice cream -matcha is still great quality -got less ice and less sweet but it still felt a bit too sweet for my taste, not way too sweet though Earl grey matcha -matcha is great quality -Earl grey definitely shines through -I got less ice and less sweet for this as well but it was significantly sweeter than the Einspanner -the sweetness slightly overpowers the flavors of the drink and is too sweet for me so I unfortunately probably won't get this again unless it can be even less sweet.

Caught up with a friend for a few hours at this cute, local coffee shop! It has a good amount of parking. We came on a weekday afternoon. The cashier was so friendly in helping us select and customize drinks. There is a free photo booth near the register and it prints out stickers from your photo. How adorable! I love that. There is seating in the back of the store when you go down the hallway. It's tight but good enough to fit a handful of people. It was kept relatively clean but nobody check up on us throughout the time we were there. The prices are on the pricier side. I paid over $8 for my drink. I got the block signature latte. It came with a giant cube made of espresso. Good thing we were planning to stick around for a while! I enjoyed it! It wasn't too sweet. This is a good drink for slow drinkers because it took a long time to melt. I liked that the cube was made of espresso so it didn't dilute the drink. It was a novel experience. Overall it was cool to check out this cafe! I wonder how their other drinks are. I may try again if I find myself in the area.

Got a strawberry cream matcha and a banana matcha with oat milk and it was 20$ . Guys that's pretty freaking pricey . Strawberry matcha was fire . MAYBE worth the 10$ but the banana not worth 10$ it was just alright . I can taste the quality so yay. Service was fast but not friendly . We received 2 words from the cashier . That's why I dropped a star . The whole place was cute . Very aesthetic , white , and clean . The photo sticker machine was a cute touch! The photo op in the hallway was also cute . Overall a nice experience. Would probably bring a friend here !

Got to try the new coffee and matcha spot that opened up. The place had a clean, minimalistic aesthetic. I liked the little photo machine that they had so it's a cute spot to go with other people! I took my drink to go so I didn't see the back, seating area. There weren't too many people when I went so my drink was ready very quickly. I liked the drink I got but the menu was very similar to a lot of other places. Prices are similar to a lot of other matcha spots nowadays too, about $8-9 per drink. Solid spot but nothing too special. I'll definitely drop by when I'm in the area

I LOVE UME TEA. I…read moreknow there's one in SoCal, but it's really out of the way for me, so whenever I'm in NorCal, it's a MUST stop for me. Super cute and I love that the menu has a wide variety of fruit teas and milk teas, as well as SNACKS. Not many boba places do that any more (especially for the franchises in SoCal), so huge W for me. You can order ahead of time to pick up or you can order from their kiosk screen. They'll text you when the order is done. Definitely worth signing up for their points rewards systems especially since there are so many Ume Teas in NorCal and I believe they carry over to each one. I got their Crème Brûlée Thai Tea since it's a nice sweet dessert drink and I wanted something along the sort after having a very savory dinner. Also wanted our friend to try a bit since he has never really had milk tea before and doesn't like tea in general. He did enjoy this drink and said it was like a cake in a cup. So true! It's a simple Thai tea that's sweetened by the creme brulee cream smeared on the sides of the cup inside. Just mix it up well and it's a yummy dessert drink. My boyfriend got a 0% sweet milk tea and enjoyed it. I also got a fragrance ornament (you drop the scent oil on top and you can get it in 2 scents, I got the pear one) and a cute bunny plushie clip/drink holder and surprisingly it was only $4. I've seen boba places charge more for their merch. Really love how Ume has a lot of merch that's unique and affordable, ranging from stickers, plushies, tumblers, collab items, and much more. There's photo ops here. Though the bunny is a bit scuffed and dirty (wish it was a bit cleaner, would have been perfect for photos). Solid Ume Tea location.

Another great spot for boba in South San Jose and close to a lot of grocery stores and shops,…read moremaking this a great spot for a break. Feng Cha usually has higher quality teas than other boba chains so I was happy to have stopped by during a visit to the South Bay. I ordered my usual Oolong Milk Tea with Boba and Oat Milk (less sugar/ice), and it turned out great. The drink is slightly more bitter because there was less sugar which was fine by me. I could taste the quality for sure. Their milk teas by default use their non-dairy creamer but you can choose to sub out for oat or soy milk, which is what I usually do. Shop itself was small with a few people working on their laptops inside. Overall, a quick and reliable stop to get good quality boba.

I was a little hesitant at first, but I was pleasantly surprised, it ended up being really good! It's part of their blended series, and I especially liked how the grapefruit inside wasn't bitter. I've tried other places where the grapefruit makes the drink taste unpleasant, but this one was perfectly balanced. We also got the Cookie Crush, which is kind of like a chocolate frappe, and it was really good too. My little brother loved it, and I liked how it wasn't overly sweet or loaded with syrup. He normally doesn't finish an entire drink and he did with this place! For snacks, we got two orders of popcorn chicken, one spicy and one regular. The sauce that came with it was delicious, and the spicy version actually had a nice kick (which I appreciated since a lot of places label it spicy but it's not and I have to ask for more powder). Overall, I'd give this place a solid 4/5. There are still a lot of drinks I want to try, and next time I definitely want to get the truffle fries!
