Cute little cart serving some of the best matcha around! The line was pretty long when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly quickly. They seem to have the timing down so your drink is ready shortly after you order, which makes the wait feel much shorter. It looks like the menu changes fairly often, but on this visit I ordered the classic strawberry matcha, and my boyfriend got the yuzu matcha. Both were absolutely delicious. The matcha tasted high quality, and each drink was well-balanced without any flavor overpowering the others. My boyfriend had also tried the cherry matcha on a previous visit and said it was just as delicious. I'd definitely come back to try more of their seasonal flavors, and I hope they open a storefront someday so they can expand their business!
Glad to see a dairy-free coconut cream top option! Had to get that with strawberry matcha with oatmilk no sugar added and still so good! Partner got regular strawberry matcha less sweet and enjoyed it as well.
There's a long line for a reason... its really good quality matcha. I love matcha and at this point I can only drink the high quality stuff. This one is top quality and the matcha blends so well with the other ingredients. As of today, they are serving out of a little trailer and the wait is long and there's almost always a line of people. But it looks like they will be opening a store and you best believe I'll be there often! The strawberry matcha is a classic combo and I was not disappointed. I decided to try an odd looking combo... lemon matcha. It was really good! It's a weird sounding combo, but it really worked when I gave it a good mix. If they can make that combo work... they're doing something right!
I had really high hopes for Matcha Matcha, but I think it definitely just fell a bit flat for us (maybe my expectations were a bit too high?) We visited on a Saturday around lunchtime and was met with a long line. Fortunately, the line moves fairly quickly and we probably only stood for about 15 minutes tops. Note - it's super hot over the summer, and there's not a ton of shade either! I ordered the strawberry matcha while my BF had the hojicha. I think I was expecting the matcha quality to be a bit more "intense" -- I think the cream top ended up taking over the flavor and the drink felt more milky than matcha-y lol. The hojicha on the other hand had a ton of depth; it was rich but texture-wise, it tasted a little too thick for my liking. Everything is whisked by hand which I appreciated (and they also sell their tins!). It looks like they're planning on opening a storefront in the same area where their trailer is. I'd encourage looking at their IG for their current trailer hours though!
This is my second time coming to this pop up! I saw that they posted their schedule on their instagram so decided to check it out since I was in the area. I arrived before they opened at 10:50am and I got my drinks at 11:40am. I was already pretty close to the front. Definitely plan to come early to skip the line! And come prepared with sunglasses/hats since the Saratoga location does get pretty hot when you're waiting in line. I ordered the strawberry matcha with no sugar, you can definitely taste the quality of the matcha. I thought the strawberry puree would've had added sweetness already but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it tasted pretty fresh/slightly tart. Overall still tastes pretty solid for no sugar (I wanted to cut down on sugar) but if you're looking for a tasty drink I'd say get less sugar. Always nice yo see them hand whisking the matcha, the quality is definitely worth the wait!
The matcha drinks were delicious. Tried both strawberry matcha and hojicha, both with oat milk and light sweet which was refreshing and good matcha/hojicha taste. Bought both matcha and hojicha set to make them at home since I have the small plastic shaker that makes delicious matcha/hojicha. Service was about 45 minutes as we were in line from the light post. Expected it since there's only two people in the small trailer preparing drinks, taking order and receiving payment.
Cutest matcha trailer ever! While they work on their brick & mortar storefront, they currently have their trailer open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday, 11am-5pm. Catch them at the parking lot of Casa Carmela a few streets past Mitsuwa. Drinks: Matcha Latte Sesame Hojicha Hojicha Latte + Cream top Yuzu Matcha They ran out of Hoji Hoji very early the day I went, about an hour after opening, hojicha latte topped with hojicha cream too. Gotta go back for that! I did want to try sesame cream and it was so good! I got no added sweetener. I got my friends the other three drinks. Traditional matcha latte has the prettiest orchid blossom on top. I didn't realize I could get the matcha cream top for the same price. $8 for all drinks right now. Whole milk or Oat milk available Regular sweet/Less/None added options Their matcha powder is available for sale online or on site. They were running a free hojicha tin promo previously, might still be going on. Customer service was great! They're nice, patient people. Just give them the same respect, especially in this heat. Some customers brought umbrellas to keep them cool. Speaking of shade, staff nicely put up a tent gazebo with a couple of folding chairs to sit on when waiting for the drinks. They made them pretty quickly so despite the twenty minute line to order, my order was done in about five minutes. They also put out cup holders once they realized I had four drinks. I'll go back for the hoji hoji!
Huge fan of this place! I came on a Saturday afternoon and waited a little under 30 mins for my drink. I ordered an iced matcha latte with regular sweetness and oat milk and it was perfect. It tasted creamy with good froth. You can taste the matcha flavor come through. The drinks are whisked by hand. I appreciated the fact that there's a kids menu too! It's operating as a truck in a parking lot at the moment, but I'm excited that there's a permanent location coming soon! Can't wait to come back and try the other flavors.

I hate waiting in lines. But Matcha Matcha is one of the very few places in the Bay Area where I'll happily stand in one. The reason? Their matcha is just that good. It's not overly milky, and it's not so strong that it feels like you're drinking straight grass. If you're a matcha lover, you know exactly what I'm talking about. They somehow found the perfect balance, and I haven't found another spot in the Bay Area that consistently hits the mark like they do. The staff is always friendly and does an amazing job keeping the line moving while still making drinks with care. Even when it's busy, they're hustling to get everyone served as quickly as possible. My advice? If you don't like matcha, don't wait in line. If you don't like lines and you don't like matcha... what the heck are you doing here? But if you love good matcha, appreciate having lots of drink options, and enjoy supporting a small business that's doing things right, Matcha Matcha is absolutely worth the visit. I also appreciate the MM team for having a tent up so you do get some shade from the sunny weather / heat. Ambiance? B U S Y haha Otherwise... BYE!
Cute little matcha cart in West San Jose serving up delicious drinks for all the matcha-loving girlie pops. I stopped by on a Thursday afternoon around lunchtime (12 p.m.), and there was already a line forming. Thankfully, the wait moved quickly and wasn't bad at all. The cart is currently parked in front of Casa Carmela, and there is plenty of parking available thanks to its location, so finding a spot shouldn't be an issue. I know Matcha Matcha has plans to move to the new Spark Social San Jose location in the future, and I'm definitely keeping an eye out for that. I ordered their limited-time Cherry Vanilla Matcha, and first things first--we received our drinks within two minutes of ordering. I was impressed by how efficient the team was, especially considering the small workspace they operate in. The Cherry Vanilla Matcha was a combination I had never tried before. On its own, the matcha leaned pleasantly bitter, while the cream top was a bit chunky and fairly neutral in flavor. However, once mixed with the cherry puree, the drink really came together. The natural sweetness of the cherries shined through, while the vanilla-infused milk added a subtle floral note. The matcha remained bold enough to stand up to both flavors, creating a balanced and cohesive drink. Overall, this spot absolutely met my expectations, and I'd happily come back again. :)
Pop up matcha shop that also sells their matcha powders. Selling out of a small green trailer. Saw on IG And made a stop here. Plenty of parking in this plaza and has some tables outside to hang out. Quick service and had like 5 min wait on Thursday afternoon. Got the double strawberry and the cherry vanilla matcha latte. They don't require tip here. Hand whisked matcha made to order. Drinks were creamy and balanced well with the cream top and fruits. Has a nice strong matcha flavor. The double strawberry had a strong matcha cream top and a nice strawberry flavor top. The vanilla cherry is on the sweeter side due to the vanilla but still tasty. First time hearing about a cherry puree and worked out pretty good. Would come back to their future pop ups or store!

We've been anticipating trying Matcha Matcha all summer, and it was amazing! The matcha was delicious, and the regular sweetness level was perfect. I also love that everything is the same price, it lets you choose based on what sounds best. The matcha-to-milk-to-ice ratio was spot-on, and the drinks are packed with matcha, cold foam, syrup, and so much flavor. So yummy, and the staff was incredibly kind. We'll definitely be back! read more

I saw a line forming outside this little trailer a few weeks ago and wondered what it was, only to find out it was serving my favorite drinks, matcha! So being the foodie I am I got here at 10:30 on a Saturday to be first customer in line because I already knew this place was going to be amazing. The owners/staff were so nice, even while setting up they came over to my boyfriend and I and gave us a fist bump and asked how our day was going and thanked us for waiting, that's the type of customer service i'm talking about. I got the strawberry matcha and my boyfriend got the hojicha with vanilla cream top. Both were so fresh and my matcha was extremely vibrant while still keeping an authentic flavor. I have to say this is the best matcha I've ever had. I loved the whole vibe of the trailer and thought it was the cutest thing ever. I wish they opened earlier instead of 11am, but after checking out their instagram and tiktok I saw the owner literally makes everything fresh the same day a couple hours before they open, so props and major respect to her for that. The quality is unmatched, and you can taste the difference. I wish I found this place sooner! read more

Been wanting to try Matcha Matcha SJ for a while and finally made it out today. They're open 11-5 on select days out of their cute green airstream. Got in line around 11:40am and the wait wasn't bad, esp for a holiday weekend. Tried the matcha latte, which was good.. but for $8 I was expecting more. If i'm in the area again, I'd come back to try the yuzu matcha. Points for no extra $$ on oat milk or cream top. read more
A great matcha spot that I've seen on social media. It's so unique. The line tells it all. Parked in a plaza, parking can be tricky as spots filled up quick but folks order and go so there's usually a spot. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and there were about 10 people ahead of me. I ordered the strawberry matcha with less sugar. The drink was perfect. Not too sweet with strong strawberry flavor. I'll be back to try other drinks! read more
I'm pretty picky with my matcha and this place is good! I've been twice but tried multiple drinks (matcha matcha, matcha latte, lemon, strawberry matcha). You can actually taste the matcha unlike a lot of other matcha places where it's just sweet. If you get the flavored drinks though, the matcha is more hidden. For example the matcha latte with sesame cold foam or strawberry matcha, it's harder to taste the matcha flavor. But that's expected as the other flavors are just much stronger. This is a very small pop-up truck so it does take a little bit longer at times to get ur drinks. And it's in a parking lot, so a grab and go. Pricing is average, but love that they charge the same price for diff drinks. Definitely one of the top matcha places in the bay that I've tried. read more

Final Thoughts: 4.50/5 Truly the cutest little matcha truck. It's a tiny little green one that sits in front of the Saratoga Plaza. My friend introduced this shop to me and I've been wanting to try them for a while now, but the timing never worked out. We were finally able to go and see how it was. Looking at reviews alone, their color of matcha looked really good, which was why I wanted to go even more. Overall, will be a solid 5 star for me. Drinks: Usucha: 4.5/5 This is the matcha americano. Essentially what this is is just water and matcha. Typically this is something that I would make for work or just on a regular basis. I like tasting the strong flavor of matcha and this drink is just on the lighter side for me given that there's no milk included. They do sell their own matchas online, so I did want to try a drink that could really have that matcha shine. This drink had a really nice deep flavor. Their drinks are very concentrated, which is something I like. Of note, my friend did mention that they do seem to lean more on having a lot of ice. This is a hit or miss for some people. I personally don't mind the ice, however, the drink itself needs to be already concentrated. This means when the ice melts, it'll be a good balance. If it is already watered down *and* there's a lot of ice, that's when Ill have a problem. This is not the case here though because they use a nice quality and brand of matcha and they provide enough of it in the drink itself. Matcha Matcha: 4.5/5 This was my friend's drink and I tried it for review purposes. It is the matcha latte with matcha cream top. Their version of a double matcha it seems. Their cream alone tastes amazing. Love the flavor of the matcha. The base of their matcha is also really good. Nice balance of nuttiness, umami, and sweetness. I really like their ratio of matcha, to milk, to sweetener. Matcha was super creamy smooth, which I also really enjoyed. Menu: Small Menu Their menu is quite small. I'm not sure if they have plans to expand the menu, but with their current menu, there are 6 items under their lattes, 2 items under non-lattes, and 2 drinks on the kids menu for the little ones or for anyone that does not want the caffeinated drinks. They seem to make these items well. Honestly, if I had it my way, I would definitely order the menu just to make and try the flight of them. Note: Capping When your name is called, they put out the drinks on the tray, but the drinks are not capped. You cap them yourself. Caution to carefully cap it and properly snap on the lid, so it doesn't spill. --------- Quality: Delightful I really like the matcha powder that they're using. Highly likely that it is the one on their website, so I will be buying them sometime when I have depleted my current tins. The color is nice, bright, and rich. The flavor is nicely balanced. Not too umami, there's a slight nuttiness and sweetness, just how I like it. Price: Average Your average matcha cup is around $7-8 these days +/-1 for the additional toppings and substitutes. Matcha drinks were all $8 and then $3 for the kiddos drinks. Quite the appropriate price for these drinks these days. Service: Very nice They were super nice even with the small interactions. Perhaps others would have a shorter interaction because it's simply paying and then getting the drink and going. I stood there for a second for my Yelp picture and then proceeded to cap the cup. I was struggling to put it on (embarrassing) and the worker saw. He then helped me to cap my cups so I don't spill them. Very nice. Waiting time: Depends Our timeline is as stated below: 1134 Arrival 1217 Front of the line 1219 Ordered 1221 Received drinks For a Saturday afternoon, the wait time was around 40-50 minutes? Their process does take a while because they finish with one customer at a time. This means they take your order, make it, and then move onto the next customer versus one person taking multiple orders and then having people in the back work to make the drinks and finish the order. This process probably helps them manage mixing up orders within that confined space. I like that this process allows us that time to take pictures of the drinks before capping them and taking them away. Ambiance: Outdoor Vibes It was a nice sunny day outside and I probably needed the vitamin D. Note to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and maybe an umbrella if you need. I do kind of like the outdoors vibes like this. Nice time to talk, hang out outside, and stand underneath the sun while waiting for your nice cup of matcha. Location/Parking: Street Parking This truck is parked on the street right in front of Saratoga Plaza, so my thinking is either street parking or parking inside the plaza area. Of note, coming out of the plaza may be a little challenge because of your blind spot coming out on the left. So I've seen them on social media a lot and people talk about how good they are. I happened to be in the area so I decided to finally check them out. I got three drinks- strawberry, lemon, & matcha matcha (didn't take a pic of the others tho as I bought them for my cousins). Honestly, they were just ok and not worth the hype. I was lucky I went when there wasn't a line but the drinks were just subpar. The matcha whisked well so there were still clumps when drinking it. Like another reviewer mentioned, the workers don't even put the lid onto the drinks. They kinda just watch you put on yourself and only help if you ask but even then, meh customer service tbh. LMAO. I wouldn't recommend this place. I know there's so many matcha places around the area/Bay Area as a whole but I don't think they're worth the hype. It's $8/cup too. Go somewhere else. read more

I've been wanting to check this place out for a while now and finally got the chance to stop by! This cute little trailer is hard to miss and I'm a big fan of the matcha tins that they also sell. I decided on getting the strawberry matcha (oat milk + regular sweetness). I was worried it would be overly sweet like some of the places but surprising, this wasn't the case. I think I would want to try the matcha matcha next time for a stronger matcha flavor. There was a line when I got there but after I ordered, it only took a few mins for them to make my order. It has been on my to-go list for awhile and I was excited to hear they're doing a pop up in Saratoga. I came around 2:30pm and their was a long line. I recommend coming early since most of the items I wanted to try was sold out by the time I came. It's a small truck but plenty parking. Drinks: - Matcha Latte: classic, thin matcha but not as strong as I was expecting, borderline watered down but also a good amount of the bitterness compared to sweet matchas - Hojicha Latte: roasted part of the leaf, unexpected favorite, strongest in terms of flavor profile, but it feels like it was not broken down enough since I can taste the graininess/powder? - Kochi Tonic: a sparkling yuzu matcha, yuzu overpowered the matcha, but still refreshing and citrusy. Omg I love how close this is to work!!! I forced my coworker to walk across the street with me to get matcha teehee. I've gone twice and I got a double strawberry and blueberry matcha latte. This is probably the best strawberry matcha latte I've ever tried because it wasn't overpowered by the strawberry. Probably because of the double matcha. I had a lovely experience at Matcha Matcha! First off, what a cute green trailer to make and sell matcha out of, all of the branding was so well done. Staff was friendly and it was cool to see them whisk the matcha right in front of you! While there was a bit of a line to order, there were plenty of shaded tents provided and the drinks were made pretty fast! The touch of adding a flower into the drink is also appreciated. I would love to visit these guys when their brick and mortar store is open, it was a quality matcha for sure! read more

I've been seeing matcha matcha online and had my eye on it for a while, so I knew where to go Tuesday morning when I had a craving for some good matcha. They opened at 11, and I came by around 11:30 and there was a line of about 10 people in front of me - I waited about 25 minutes. They do whisk each drink to order, so each person/party places their order, they make the drink, and then they take the next order, but it still moved reasonably quickly. The truck was located on the side of the road, and there are some benches/tables outside on the grass that are a convenient place to put your drink down, take some pictures, and maybe sit for a bit with a small group. Drinks are all $8, which is a bit pricey, but the quality is definitely there. I got the cherry vanilla matcha, which seems to be a seasonal special - it's a unique flavor combination I haven't seen before so I was a little scared that it might not work, but I actually enjoyed this; it almost tastes like a creamy cherry vanilla soda that blends surprisingly well with the slightly savory vegetable matcha that they use. I do find that the cream top didn't seem to add much to the drink for me, and I would have preferred it without the cream top, or perhaps with a matcha cream top instead. I did also find some small bits of what seemed to be 2-3 bits of cherry pit or stem in the drink, but nothing too bad. Overall, a really tasty treat with a good quality, strong matcha. I'm so happy I finally got to try this place! The wait is worth it so don't give up. It is run by 2 ppl. I've gotten the chocolate hojicha, lemon curd matcha, and double strawberry. The double strawberry is my fave! Thank you for creating it! Perfect balance of all the flavors and not too sweet! The trailer is located at Casa Carmela. There's a parking lot there. Such a cute spot with a cozy and inviting atmosphere! I especially loved the strawberry matcha--it had a rich, earthy matcha flavor balanced with just the right amount of strawberry sweetness. The thick whole milk foam on top made it extra creamy and indulgent. You can definitely tell the ingredients are high quality, and the drink was beautifully presented. The only downside is the price--around $8 feels a little expensive for a drink--but the quality and overall experience made it worth trying. read more

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon, when my partner and I had to stop by this matcha pop up. It was rather dissatisfying. There was a huge line, but it moves incredibly slow and to top it off the matcha wasn't even that good. It is as if they ran out of sweetener because all of our drinks were bitter. They also ran out of the strawberry jam, but they didn't warn anyone in the line that they ran out. Imagine all I wanted was a strawberry matcha, and lo and behold they don't have anymore. It would not be too hard for one of the three employees to just warn the line that they ran out. Though the matcha looked like it would be so good, it ended up being just all ice and pretty mid.
