I bought a pair of docs at fashion island yesterday and wanted to return them today so I went to the Irvine store which is closer to my house. I walk in and say I have a return and go to the girl at counter and she looks at them and says "they are scratched at the bottom and are creased!" I didn't wear them at all except for trying them on and got them yesterday. The girl would not return them for me. So I had to drive to fashion island to return and they were able to return them with no problem and the employees there were so nice and so understanding and said they were not scratched and not really a crease. The girl at Irvine should understand that when you try on shoes there will always be a crease on the shoe. The girl seemed lazy to me and just didn't want to take my return. I highly recommend going to the Fashion Island store they are much more professional. read more

I found a coupon online if I sent a photo of a receipt in so I asked someone to take a picture of their receipt not thinking I was breaking any rules or doing anything wrong and instead of speaking to me the female manager called the cops! They might be mall cops but they are still Irvine PD and he asked me about it realized I didn't do anything shady went to talk to her as I went to purchase boots for my girlfriend who was with me for Christmas-with CASH with NO Coupon and she had me escorted out of the store. She never looked at me or spoke to Me just called the police. After I left the cop apologized and we shook hands. She could have atleast had the wherewithal to ask me, speak to me, look at me. I wasn't looking to purchase any shoes while walking in; I just wanted to look around (it was also my first time in the store!). I ended up walking out with my dream pair of Dr. Martens thanks to Jesse who patiently waited for me to try on and decide on the pair I wanted. If I could give zero stars, I would. The place is so small and they allow only 3 people plus 2 employees in that store. We waited almost an hour in line and we're finally told that we can't return product to the store we bought online, even through we told them we were returning the shoes when we first got in line. No one over seems to know what they are taking about. They are incompetent and rude. Terrible customer service. Going there is infuriating and a complete waste of time read more

Absolute worst customer service ever. I asked four times on the phone if I can exchange my shoes that have never been worn or taken out of box and the associate Eric tells me absolutely we can! Horrible experience. Waited over an hour (they will only allow 5 people total in the store at a time, including the employees so it's really 2 patrons at a time). just to find out they can't take online returns. A kid was assisting the people in line to speed things up, but did not advise of the return policy when we explained that this is why we were there. Suggestion...better customer service and some type of mobile return system outside for those that are not shopping. Can't be that hard. read more

I came here on a Sunday and was expecting it to be busy and it was. I understand that the employees were assisting other customers at the time, however, I was not even acknowledged being in the store. I felt like I literally had to beg someone to assist me. Came here tonight to get my first ever pair of docs and I am sooooooo beyond happy and excited!!! Right when we arrived in this store we were immediately greeted and assisted!! I was so nervous because I wasn't quite sure of my size and I didn't want to be a burden but TAYLOR helped me though the entire process and made me feel very comfortable and very well assisted!!! She was absolutely amazing from start to finish!! She helped me pick my size as I was in between sizes and just made the entire process and absolute breeze!! I tried to do an exchange in store with a pair of shoes I purchased online. When I got there the person at the store shooed me away and told me I had to to this online He didn't offer to hold my shoes while I shopped and help with sizing etc. They have the worst customer service and exchange process I have ever seen. I absolutely love shopping at this Dr.Marten's location. First, all the staff are friendly and accommodating. I felt very safe as all the employees wore mask, required you to hand sanitize, and cleaned throughout my visit there.
