Do NOT - i repeat do NOT see "Dr Yates Hair Science" in Chicago. I got "3,000 grafts" in 2015 and another "700" in 2019 and I'd bet not even half of that was actually done. On top of it, it appears that many of the follicles were transplanted in the wrong direction and many fell out. Now, of course, yall will say "Doctors cant help genetics" which is true but: 1) Dr. Yates did not stress the important of using Fin in 2015. It was only brought up once. I have been on it every day since 2019. 2) They have downplayed every attempt Ive made at questioning the results 3) On another call yesterday (8/5/2026), the receptionist legitimately called me ignorant and when I asked if she just called me ignorant her exact words were "Yes - yes I did." 4) I emailed them 8 days ago (7-29-2026) to get my immediate post-op pics and appears Ive been ghosted 5) During the procedures "Dr. Yates" was in the room maybe a total of 5 minutes each time 6) An obviously unnatural hairline 7) Sure does appear as if they didnt angle the hairs naturally at all and instead inserted them sticking straight up - not slanted towards the front. Also, I remember they gave me a doo-rag to wear leaving their clinic in 2015. I looked retarded. Overall, an awful deal all around. I'm so ecstatic about my skin care plan with Dr. Maja. Not only is Dr. Maja very knowledgeable about skin care, she's also very pleasant to be around making me comfortable throughout the experience. Unfortunately my experience here was definitely emotionally draining. I'll start off by saying I've been getting Botox, lip and chin injections for about 3 years now. I recently moved back to Chicago from Las Vegas and immediately started my research on a good med-spa that I can routinely go to. First I contacted a different med-spa, made an appointment for two syringes of Juvederm Ultra plus XC and Botox for my forehead. When I got to my appointment, I found out they had only one syringe left which was extremely disappointing. So I get back to my search and find Ashley Bohling on Instagram. I contact her telling her about the miscommunication I had with another spa and that I wanted 2 syringes of Juvederm Ultra because that's what I was used too. She told me that she usually uses restylane but I've never had that before so she went and ordered what I was comfortable with. So the day of the appointment I brought my mom with me for emotional support. I meet Ashley, she was very nice and the entire spa was clean. Here's where things go downhill and I should have left at the first sign of a red flag. After telling her again where I wanted filler in my lips and chin, she tells me she only has ONE SYRINGE of Juvederm. The first thing that came out of my mouth was saying to my mom "I can't believe this is the second time this week this has happened." Obviously I'm disappointed and I state that I had asked for two, when she looks at me and says I never did. That she knows I didn't because she responds back to all of her emails personally... So I brought up the multiple emails where I had indeed asked and stated that I wanted 2 of them. So now she offers me a free laser hair removal treatment which was nice of her just for her to open the package and there be 2 syringes in there. Yikes. This is where it gets even worse, so after doing my lips (which she did well but I had severe bruising I've never experienced before) she told me my chin was fine and I should get fillers in my jawline. I've never had jawline fillers before, so multiple times I asked for my chin. She finally convinced me to get them where she thought they should be placed. This was the biggest mistake I could have made, I should have never agreed to something just because she has the license to do it. I know my body more than anyone and she should have listened to what I WANTED WITH MY FACE. The fillers in my jaw were extremely painful, uncomfortable and made me look disfigured. Immediately I had bruising, swelling and hard knots in my jaw from the misplaced filler. It was so superficial I could grab it with my two fingers. I told Ashely a few days after, because I wanted to let the swelling go down (I thought the filler was just a reaction/me being swollen) but it looked worse the more I looked in the mirror. She dissolved them for free but there was no offer of giving me the filler where I actually wanted it or a refund for the money, time, pain or sadness I felt after this entire experience. So I spent nearly $2,000 for lip fillers that were so bruised for two weeks I couldn't even go out without being stared at. My Botox was a few hundred and my results didn't last more than a few days if it ever worked at all. This entire experience has made me never want anyone to touch my face again after years of being comfortable. I personally would have handled it completely differently. I was told I could get my money back multiple times throughout the sessions and then after everything was completed they told me that best they could offer me was another 6 sessions and free microneedling of stretch marks. I originally came in for a stretch mark consult and was talked into emsculpt because they said it would improve stretch marks by pulling the skin tighter - totally false. But I did another 6 sessions of emsculpt with again no results and no refund. now they are saying that the microneedling will not be free either. I wasted thousands of dollars for no results and no refund like they promised. They are just going to take your money and send you in circles trying to get results. Stay away. read more

I felt really welcomed and liked the staff here. But I can't help but feel really disappointed about my laser hair removal results. I went in for a total of 9 SESSIONS for Brazilian laser hair removal but I still have an excessive amount of hair. I know everyone's body is different and how your hormones affect your hair growth but after 9 sessions I just really hoped for some decline in hair but instead it looks almost the same as when I started. I invested a lot of money into my treatments and not even my bikini line is where I want it to be. I still have to shave a lot and get razor bumps. Extremely disappointed in my experience with getting a Brazilian laser hair removal treatment from here. The sessions they provide for hundreds of dollars will NOT permanently remove or reduce your hair in the slightest. I have done 7 treatments and a year later it has not improved stopping hair growth in the slightest. I got 3 appointments canceled within an hour of my visit which is 3 months where there was terrible miscommunication and no follow up to provide assistance. this surgery i got from this clinic i regret every day. this clinic will rush you into a surgery because they know that most smart people that actually do their research would stay away. i already wrote a bbb complaint against this clinic and i feel as if it is my duty as a human being to warn people to stay away from them. the only reason why i have a medical cannabis card is because of my horrible experience with this clinic and their horrible surgery that i regret every day. not only i got permanent nerve damage from the surgery, i feel as if i am a victim of medical malpractice, marketing fraud, and ptsd. the nerve pain is still in the same spot as i remember very clearly from the actual surgery. the graft survival was low because they used the garbage robot which wasn't even FDA approved for my case. i only took out about 1000 fue but i clearly wouldn't ever seriously consider using more donor. they will use used car sales tactics at you like "half-price" and "i don't need to take your money" and "we have a special demo for other doctors, would you like to participate?". this "doctor" claims i had more donor than i'd agree with. do yourself a favor, do your research and stay away from these con artist scammers. the only nice thing i took away from this surgery was that when i signed up for health insurance, i mentioned that this surgery robbed me of my quality of life and i struggle with nerve pain every day and the health insurance provider gave me a hugely discounted monthly rate. anyway, if i see positive reviews for this clinic i'd just assume it is a fake review paid for by the "doctor" read more

I wish I didn't have to assign a star but I had tattoo removal done by this place and the individual did not seem to know what she was doing. She went over the areas multiple times in a single session. I was left with permanent scarring on both wrists. When I went back for a consultation I was told, "that's aren't scars, the tissue is just regenerating." Months later, still scarred. I was then told to, "come back when I feel like I am ready for another treatment." Not sound advice in my opinion for individuals that should be experts in tattoo removal. I would never go back to them. My only option now is to get tattoos to cover the scars and hope that it can be hidden. read more

AMAZING does not even begin to explain how great the team at Yates MedSpa is and their EmSculpt treatment. I recently finished the EmSculpt Neo treatment on my abs and butt. What a difference those 6 sessions made (and the full results won't even show for a few more months). I always had that flabby tummy that wouldn't get toned no matter how many sit-ups I did or how hard I worked out. Now I am slimmer, my pants are loose in the waist and I don't have that dreaded muffin top any longer. Then there was the butt lift using with the EmSculpt. this review is reviewing Nikelle from Dr Yates office. she is the lead esthetician. I went in to get my first ever chemical peel one Friday June 6. I told her I had concerns with recent breakouts during covid season wearing masks. I wanted to learn about skincare routine and wanted to try chemical peel since I had THREE blemishes from deep break outs I was getting. when she was finished I asked her again about what products does she recommend and she was quick kinda brushing me off said I only needed an exfoliator. she suggested their product. my total with her tip was $516, ONLY ONE PEEL!. first few days everything seemed normal.i was using the sunscreen and cortisone cream the VI peel came with (after care package) I was starting to peel. Tuesday-Wednesday 5 days post tx, I started to notice bumps on my forehead. I messaged her letting her know, thinking I was breaking out from the two aftercare creams I was using. she said no, it was a "purge" that was the bacteria coming to surface and it was normal. I felt fine initially. thursday- I woke up I had papules and welts all through out my forehead and lining of my hair line. they were all red, inflamed and very painful to touch, even moving my hair. I reached out again letting her know my concerns, she once again said it was normal. 7th day ONE WEEK post tx- I reached out showing pictures, all this "purge" was everywhere. my face was in pain and everything was red. she told me to start my skincare routine and use a benzoyl wash. she suggested for me to buy theirs ("medical grade"). Sunday- day 9 I reached out again with pictures, she told me to extract every single white one, I questioned her "wouldn't that scar? especially after a peel" she assured me it wouldn't. and asked how many times im using benzoyl wash and what moisturizer im using "wanted to make sure my moisturizer wasn't clogging my pores" I told her three x a day for benzoyl wash and I started using my Clinique moisturizer that morning. she right away said my Clinique was causing this.... AGAIN I ONLY USED IT THAT MORNING, I told her no, I don't think this is Clinique, I been using Clinique for 4 years and not once it has done this to my face that I have been looking like this since Wednesday. she suggested for me to come in Friday so she can give me a "complimentary laser tx to kill the bacteria", after I talked to her I went ahead and extracted them. it was soooo painful to touch. by this point I was crying with how my face looked. and was very insecure and avoided to go outside. the next day (Monday June 15) I called off work! and talked on the phone again and I let her know my concerns that I feel like it looks horrible and I think it was a reaction. she again said if by Wednesday it doesn't look okay, to come in Friday for that complimentary laser tx. NOW by this point I didn't trust her. That same day I went to Bluemercury desperate looking for a second opinion, the girls at Bluemercury were shocked with how my face looked. they said that as an esthetician they would have had me go in right away to talk about my concerns and switch something in the treatment. they all agreed that there was more than just a purge. they suggested skinceuticals "epidermal repair" that night I messaged Nikelle again, asking her if she would recommend that. she replied with a no basically. she also said "I don't recommend those products I only use ours, I've been working with them for over 5 years, honestly those products I know work and that's the results I get based off my work- I can't promise you'll get results with skin care I don't use. I tailor everything based around them". FOR ME that was enough. I knew she just wanted to make money, she was rude, she disregarded my concerns, and was not listening or at least offering to explain what the active ingredients were and how skinceuticals was a bad product. Tuesday June 16- I called off work again!. my skin was DRYYY DRYY DRYY and very bumpy, burning, and extremely red. afraid to use any moisturizer any product but a gentle cleanser wash. Thursday- I was starting to get more bumps by my chin now and left cheek. it almost seemed like this reaction was spreading. I decided to call the office to complain. I spoke to the manager, and told her how Nikelle made me feel and made this experience a horrible one. I will no longer trust anyone touching my face. I had never broken out on my forehead NEVER not even as a teen. and the bumps and papules I had they were everywhere, the manager offered me a free CO2 treatment I said no. that I didn't trust them and I just wanted my money back.
