under eye filler her associated messed up and CHARGED ME TO GET FIXED. So I had to go to a board certificates surgeon to get this fixed.
    Veronika N.

Yet again another awful experience with Nikelle she wouldn't honor my 3 last laser hair touch ups I had left. Even after her injector botched my eye and I came back and they asked me to pay for dissolver and said it looked normal. This is the WORST rip off establishment. Her front desk person even said I had touch ups but her excuse was "she's new" after I traveled ALL the way over there. She then tried to sell me more packages she is a money hungry terrible person. And she had an unpleasant very condescending attitude. She talked to me for 4 seconds total and walked out of the room. You'd think after everything she would just do my touch ups? NOPE. She enjoys robbing her clients.

Before VI precision plus chemical peel

I'm so ecstatic about my skin care plan with Dr. Maja. Not only is Dr. Maja very knowledgeable about skin care, she's also very pleasant to be around making me comfortable throughout the experience. We first started with the VI chemical peel precision plus and that just left my skin glowing and virtually blemish free. Today we did the micro needling procedure which was painless after applying the numbing cream. I'm exited to see what my results will look like in a few weeks. I highly recommend this med spa and has been one of the best I've been to in Chicago.

Before the jawline filler was dissolved, you can see the superficial filler in the first photo where I have it circled.

Unfortunately my experience here was definitely emotionally draining. I'll start off by saying I've been getting Botox, lip and chin injections for about 3 years now. I recently moved back to Chicago from Las Vegas and immediately started my research on a good med-spa that I can routinely go to. First I contacted a different med-spa, made an appointment for two syringes of Juvederm Ultra plus XC and Botox for my forehead. When I got to my appointment, I found out they had only one syringe left which was extremely disappointing. So I get back to my search and find Ashley Bohling on Instagram. I contact her telling her about the miscommunication I had with another spa and that I wanted 2 syringes of Juvederm Ultra because that's what I was used too. She told me that she usually uses restylane but I've never had that before so she went and ordered what I was comfortable with. So the day of the appointment I brought my mom with me for emotional support. I meet Ashley, she was very nice and the entire spa was clean. Here's where things go downhill and I should have left at the first sign of a red flag. After telling her again where I wanted filler in my lips and chin, she tells me she only has ONE SYRINGE of Juvederm. The first thing that came out of my mouth was saying to my mom "I can't believe this is the second time this week this has happened." Obviously I'm disappointed and I state that I had asked for two, when she looks at me and says I never did. That she knows I didn't because she responds back to all of her emails personally... So I brought up the multiple emails where I had indeed asked and stated that I wanted 2 of them. So now she offers me a free laser hair removal treatment which was nice of her just for her to open the package and there be 2 syringes in there. Yikes. This is where it gets even worse, so after doing my lips (which she did well but I had severe bruising I've never experienced before) she told me my chin was fine and I should get fillers in my jawline. I've never had jawline fillers before, so multiple times I asked for my chin. She finally convinced me to get them where she thought they should be placed. This was the biggest mistake I could have made, I should have never agreed to something just because she has the license to do it. I know my body more than anyone and she should have listened to what I WANTED WITH MY FACE. The fillers in my jaw were extremely painful, uncomfortable and made me look disfigured. Immediately I had bruising, swelling and hard knots in my jaw from the misplaced filler. It was so superficial I could grab it with my two fingers. I told Ashely a few days after, because I wanted to let the swelling go down (I thought the filler was just a reaction/me being swollen) but it looked worse the more I looked in the mirror. She dissolved them for free but there was no offer of giving me the filler where I actually wanted it or a refund for the money, time, pain or sadness I felt after this entire experience. So I spent nearly $2,000 for lip fillers that were so bruised for two weeks I couldn't even go out without being stared at. My Botox was a few hundred and my results didn't last more than a few days if it ever worked at all. This entire experience has made me never want anyone to touch my face again after years of being comfortable. I personally would have handled it completely differently. I came in trying to do something for myself to feel better just to leave feeling so much worse.

Complaint Against LaserAway for Unethical Business Practices and Unauthorized Charge…read more On October 25, 2025, I had a scheduled 11:00 a.m. laser hair removal appointment at LaserAway. I arrived on time, was checked in by the receptionist, and taken to a treatment room. Before the procedure began, a nurse practitioner joined by video to review my health history. When I disclosed that I have cataracts, she immediately ended the call and said I was not a candidate for treatment. I left the facility around 11:15 a.m. without receiving any service. Before booking, I had a detailed phone conversation with an intake representative who strongly encouraged me to proceed. I fully discussed my health history, yet was never told cataracts would prevent treatment. Afterward, I reviewed their policies and found no mention of cataracts as a restriction. Despite being denied service, my card was charged $249.00 later that same day (around 1:15 p.m.). I have called multiple times to request a refund but have been repeatedly transferred or ignored with no resolution. I believe this constitutes unfair and deceptive business practices. The company continues to charge customers for services they do not perform and fails to provide clear medical exclusions in advance. I respectfully request a refund of $249.00 and I think the Better Business Bureau should review LaserAway's policies and billing practices to prevent similar incidents for other consumers.

If you only read one thing about this place - hair removal is definitely worth not having to worry about it anymore and Debra is the best at what she does! The process: At your first consultation, Debra takes you through what to expect, including how many treatments, pain level and cost. She evaluated my chin (which was hairrryyy) and said due to my incessant plucking, I had to undergo electrolysis instead of laser hair removal. She gave me a timeline of treatments starting every 2 weeks and eventually downgrading to every 4-5 weeks. She said I would really start to see a lot less hair after my 10th treatment and she was totally accurate. Since then, I've also come in for laser hair removal every 6 weeks or so. All in all, it took about a year, but I no longer worry about my chin hairs and I feel so much better about my appearance The pain: Electrolysis does hurt, but Debra makes it bearable. Since you have to zap (literally) every hair, it is a much more lengthy appointment than laser. But, Debra takes care of you, and after the first couple of appointments you get used to the process Laser is much quicker, but targets more hairs at once so it hurts more in my opinion. Debra will go as fast (get it over with) or slow (take a breath) as you want. She tells you all the post-appointment creams and ointments so that you feel better after you leave her office too. Most of my appointments were during my lunch break from work since her office is downtown. At first with electrolysis there was some redness and swelling that would last up to a couple of days, but could be covered with makeup. Eventually my skin got used to it (and the appointment got less intense) so that all the redness went away within 15-30 minutes The price: So much more affordable that I thought it would be! She lets you know price at your consultation and expected length of the appointments/how frequently you would need to go. So, you can definitely calculate how much it would be in total. I would call Debra a bargain for the peace of mind she's given me about my appearance The place: She works in a dental office which at first sounds strange, but it makes sense given that the chairs move every which way and sometimes you need to be laying down in weird positions. She is always very clean and careful. If she is running late (rare), she notifies you so you aren't sitting around waiting 10/10 would recommend!

Although the procedure itself is uncomfortable, Debra's bright personality and ability to talk about literally anything makes the time fly by, even as she keeps zapping away! Her office is located downtown, it was very easy to get to after work and she made herself available to me after work hours. I would highly recommend anyone looking for laser treatments to visit Debra, not only have I for sure seen exactly the results I've wanted, but she's just so much fun to be around and work with. Highly recommended!

When I came in for a consultation, the sales person was extremely pushy and kept me for over an hour (past closing and way longer than the 20 minute scheduled appointment) asking me personal questions and showing me a slideshow that they clearly didn't understand much of themselves. They didn't have answers for my actual questions and steered the conversation away from what I wanted to discuss. They didn't understand how the payment plan worked, which was extremely concerning considering the large financial commitment this is. They told me there would be no interest on the payment plan, but when they showed me the plan it had 24% APR. I only decided to go ahead with it because it came recommended and I had already decided the max I was willing to pay before coming to the appointment (they don't share pricing unless you do this consultation). I was frustrated that person got the commission from me. They pulled the classic trick of the trade that I wouldn't be able to get the pricing unless I committed with them then. I honestly had such a bad experience with them I wanted to file a complaint. I met a couple technicians that day and they were very kind, so I don't want their bad salesperson to reflect on them and their work. Now that I have been going here for over a year, I have only had good experiences and interactions with the technicians. I just wish the sales experience would have been actually helpful and less pushy.

That also means areas which were not treated have been receiving higher levels of laser intensity than is right for an untreated or less progressed area. Alyssa was super patient and spoke to me for a good twenty minutes before we settled on a treatment plan. I struggled with severe perioral dermatitis for a long time and saw multiple providers before finding Dr. Pinski. He was the only dermatologist who was able to get it under control, and for that I will always be incredibly grateful. Unfortunately, my more recent experiences left me disappointed. After I moved, I received a text message from a debt collection agency regarding a small outstanding balance. I was never notified by the office that I had an unpaid bill before it was sent to collections. I was a patient there for many years and had built great relationships with several of the front desk staff. It was really upsetting that no one picked up the phone or sent me a notice about such a minor balance before sending it to collections. That felt like poor patient service and completely unnecessary. I also had laser treatments for rosacea there two times. The procedures were extremely painful, to the point that my face was swollen for days afterward. I was not offered any type of anesthetic--not even a topical numbing cream. As a nurse, I found that surprising and disappointing. I've had other facial procedures elsewhere that were far less invasive, and at a minimum I was offered topical anesthetic. Those laser treatments were honestly among the most painful experiences I've had, and I consider myself to have a very high pain tolerance. I'm genuinely thankful to Dr. Pinski for helping resolve my perioral dermatitis, but the way my account was handled and my experience with the laser treatments ultimately overshadowed what had otherwise been years of positive care.
