This place is in a great location on Oakland with really nice large windows on the front end. They're dog friendly which is always a plus and they have water bowls and treats available all around! We happily stumbled on their Live Irish Sessions on the third Wednesday of the month and they were fantastic! It added such a cozy feel to a rainy night. The bartender is quick and friendly and helpful if you're not sure what to order.

I've been to Draft & Vessel twice now and loved both of my experiences. It's a nice quiet spot that hosted an intense game of chess with delicious beer. The Rübæus has me wanting to continue to come back over and over, the tart raspberry flavor of this fruit beer is something to rave about. Thank goodness I live close to this gem, I plan to be a regular here!

    The bar, duh!

This spot is well, spot on. Great ambiance and a truly proper selection of good craft beers. You won't find Miller or Budweiser at Draft & Vessel! You also won't find food, this place isn't about food it's about beer. You will find craft brews and a knowledgeable staff that will get you what you need. D&V is not to big and not to small. It''s just right. Nice comfy and cozy. The outdoor seating is splendid and it really feels like home away from home. Nestled on the main strip off Oakland in Shorewood alley, the place has a special location that makes it a great spot to stop into. The beers rotate often so get here or you may miss something you may not get to try again. D & V is a great spot in Shorewood period!

What an awesome, tiny, super cool beer cafe. What to expect: Friendly knowledgeable service. They're very generous with allowing you to taste what they have to offer on tap (see the pretty cool beer menus above the bar - or check ahead online). If a seats available - you can enjoy a pint and relax. I can imagine that this place will get crowded. It's very welcoming and a place I can't wait to frequent. It's tiny. Like TINY. I expect I'll more likely get beer to go. You can purchase 32 or 64 oz growlers and they do have a selection of special 22oz bottles for purchase. Check em out! What a great addition to my favorite village, Shorewood!!

What an awesome bar! It's tiny. Like.. really tiny. There's actually a sign on the wall that says "Max Occupants: 12". So you'll be lucky to grab a bar seat, but it's also super cozy and cute. I can't think of anything else in Milwaukee I could compare it to. They've got a great selection of craft beers, many of which you'd have a hard time finding anywhere else. They also sell growlers at a decent price. I took home a 64oz growler of a white IPA for $20 - $5 for the growler itself and $15 to fill it. Not bad. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, and the beer was great. I only wish I lived closer. I'll be back!

Okay this place is AWESOME. Been here several times in the past couple weeks and every experience has been great. They've got a great selection of 20 different taps that rotate weekly. Not only do they fill growlers to go but the growlers don't have to be theirs!! This is a rarity with places like this so kudos to them. The inside is a small, cozy space with communal benches and bar seating. The decor is awesome- the owner said everything in the place has been refurbished. If you look at the bar it's actually on old crates and I think all the wood used in the place is from an old farm. Last thing I want to comment on is the Girl Scout Cookie pairing that I went to this week- such a great concept! For $20 we got 14 cookies and over 2.5 pts of reallllllly delicious beer. The pairings were all great but my favorites were the peanut butter cookie and raspberry fruit ale and the Samoa and sticky toffee pudding ale. Definitely was feeling good when I left. The owner is a great guy, very knowledgable and super friendly. If you haven't been here yet you need to stop by!

Draft & Vessel has finally expanded! I was looking forward to their expansion for months leading up to it. How exciting to now be able to bring groups to my favorite bar! Upon arriving to the newly reassembled bar we were so excited for all the new tables and not having to push through people to get to the bar and back to your table or back out the door. I really love this place. They have the best taps and bottle selection around. And now a rotating cider and mead tap!! Plus wine on tap! Plus puppies!!! They allow puppies inside so you can have booze and all the puppy love your heart desires. Seriously how can you go wrong? Once they get a bottle chiller for their wall of upscale bottles this place will be unbeatable.

My #1 most favorite bar in Milwaukee. New selection of craft beers every two weeks. Great vibe, friendly staff, laid back crowd. Love it.

Came here recently with a group of six, and good thing we made a rez because it was full! Our server wasn't the friendliest guy around but still made sure we were taken care of. My husband and I shared the cubano sandwich and the buffalo cauliflower bites. Those cauli bites were fire, I could order those everytime and be happy! Wasn't the biggest fan of the cubano though. There was way more bread than there was fillings. Oh and I tried my brother's pizza! That was very good. I'll look forward to returning for patio season - great outdoor space here!

We waited a little for the perfect table, but it was completely worth it. We were seated by the window with a stunning view of the lake. The service was top-notch from start to finish. The cold station had a great variety of hummus and dips served with pita bread--my son loved it so much he ate thirteen pieces of pita! I'm usually not a big fan of raw oysters, but they looked so fresh that I decided to try them... and I couldn't stop eating them. They also had traditional Easter red eggs and egg salad, which was a nice touch. There were also breakfast favorites like French toast and scrambled eggs. Desserts were excellent too--cakes, fresh fruits, and yogurt rounded out the meal perfectly. The setting is just as lovely--the restaurant has an outdoor patio that would be especially enjoyable in the summer, with a great view of the city skyline. It's also a perfect spot for photos. She said 8:30 was the latest we could be seated . . . but she didn't mean that the place closes at 8:30. She said, "The kitchen closes at 8:30". The KITCHEN closes at 8:30. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On what planet does "open until 9" mean that you not only have to have your butt in a seat by 8:30, but must have an order in to the kitchen by then? On what planet do hours listing a closing time of 9pm really mean that 9pm is when the entire staff wants to be out the door and on their way home? I'll tell you: Planet Pizza Man. Posted hours should mean what they say, in all types of businesses. That means, if you're there before the posted closing time, you're welcome to do business there. I worked in several restaurants in the course of my hardworking life, and never, EVER, would we think of giving anyone the bum's rush if they had the nerve -- the NERVE! -- to show up actually thinking they could be served until the posted closing time. Like Beans and Barley, sorely missed now, the old Pizza Man -- the REAL Pizza Man, on North Avenue -- is now only a fond memory. The new one is just a loud, crowded, overpriced and over-hyped hangout that needs to get a clue.
