Foods Tried Beef Lo Mien ($9.99) General Tso Chicken ($12.99) The portion sizes are huge! This is definitely more than enough food to feed 2-4 people depending on how hungry the group is. Overall, the food exceeded my expectation for Chinese food in Carlsbad. The chicken was saucy and had a crunch to it. I wish there were more veggies in the General Tso Chicken. Thanks to Yelp reviews and looking past the few sour reviews we gave this place a try. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was prompt despite the place being very busy. The sushi was fresh and the hot and sour soup rivaled anything I have had on the east coast. There was something for everyone here including Mac n cheese and pizza! We were only passing by for one night but I would definitely go back given the opportunity. It just goes to show that a few negative reviews needn't sway your decision to try a place out! read more

Buffet had a lot of hot fresh Chinese dishes served self-service buffet style. If you've been to one of these in big cities like DFW, it's nothing special. The flavors were average. It was overpriced. There was one fried sushi that was unique and good. Salt pepper shrimp was not dry. Service at table was quick and cleaned up each time we finished a plate. However, at the end of our meal, the server propped open the outside door behind us and cold air came in. We did not like that. Door had sign that said keep door closed! Simply best! Very good value for price, 14 bucks including tax for a dinner. Lots of variation, around 40+ menus. But plz note that most of the meat is fried, which is traditional chinese - I did not have problem with it. They even have sushi of which I didn't try. Looked okay. My favorite was chicken, but there were more than 6 kinds and I don't remember which... It's a fried chicken covered with red sauce. Oh and fat shrimp fries were wonderful too. This place is no fancy restaurant, it's casual one with warm & delicious foods. I guess they could do better with the ice creme... Overall very recommended if you like Chinese food. read more

Good food but VERY oily. Had delivery she asked to double bag, person working said just hold the bottom of the bag. As she came up to our door step the bag busted and oil and food went everywhere (including her pants). I called to get it fixed and they didn't believe me and refused to replace the order. What a pleasant surprise!! So so good!! The beef and broccoli was divine and the pineapple chicken wasn't too much breading and what WAS breading was nice and crunchy even though it was covered in the awesome pineapple sauce! AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE FABULOUS EGG DROP SOUP!! We're traveling to the east coast but I seriously considered getting more ice for the cooler and taking some soup with us!! Everything about this buffet was well made. We ordered take out and took it to our small hotel room and everything was piping hot. Best Chinese food I've had in a loooooong time! Great job guys! I had gone to DCB dine-in much earlier this year right before the strike of covid-19 in US. I was really pleased with the quality of food being from a buffet. It definitely looked edible and tasted pretty great actually... but then I ordered DoorDash a month ago and I was so very disappointed with the meal that came. I gave them benefit of doubt as they weren't open for a while per governmental regulation so I am hoping to give them another shot in the coming months at another actual dine in experience. I am giving them 4 stars average from the 5-star dine in experiences and the 3-star Door Dash delivery food quality experience. I know they will get back into the swing of things and I believe that they will draw business back over the next few months for sure! read more

We decided to eat here since it was already late and we were a big party. Surprisingly when we arrived it was still pretty busy at 830 pm on a Monday night, and more people were still coming to dine in. It's $11 per person plus like $2 for a drink. Water is free. We were seated and our drink orders were taken. I was surprised as to how little the buffet line is. The mirror tricked me into thinking that the buffet line was big, lol. There weren't so many options to choose from, and there was no more sushi. It's actually sad as to how little options of entrees there is. I guess I'm just used to going to Chinese buffets where you have a never ending amount of food no matter what time of day it is. The egg drop soup was good, and so was the fried rice. Everything else tasted like it had been sitting out all day. There were even some food trays where there was no more food in them. Oh and the ice cream tasted gross, idk how. All in all this is not worth $11. There is nothing special. Oh and the bathrooms were DRENCHED with stinky mop water. The employee was literally making it rain in there.. This is a Chinese Buffet restaurant that does everything it can for its customers. When visiting this restaurant it quickly becomes obvious that they care for the customer and try hard to please.
