Went here because it was fairly close to our house and seemed to be well liked. The good: staff was friendly, restaurant was clean, service was fast. The bad: food was meh, and I'm a connoisseur if cheap American Chinese food. Because it was our first time we went with the basics of sesame chicken, Hunan Beef, egg rolls, and General Tso's Chicken. The egg rolls came out first and just tasted off. The Sesame Chicken and GTC were 95% breading and overcooked enough it was difficult to stab them with a fork. The Hunan Beef was just flavorless. One of the BEST Asian carry-out options in town! Ok first off, the owners are the sweetest! The husband & wife duo do everything from taking orders to cooking the food themselves. The wife remembers me every time & always asks how I'm doing, what I've been up to, etc. And the food is amazing, as is the portions! (Especially for the price). Their lunch hours are further discounted & lunch entrees come with a delicious egg roll. My go to's are General Tso's Shrimp (a MUST-try), Basil Chicken & Hunan Chicken (good portion of portion of veggies + meat). Had to try this after the great reviews. A little dissapointed i must say although i had high expectations from the reviews. It was ok and not real pricey. Food was average to a little bland. Very small dine in area that was crowded for lunch . I got my staple Kumg Pao chicken and hot n sour soup. Not real spicey. The soup was more sour than spicy. Love for take out! Personal fav is schezwan pork. Great fried rice. I've gotten lo mein once and it was "different", not tried again. Usually a lunch stop for me. if you are looking for really good chinese food (with some thai and singapore dishes thrown in) at reasonable prices and GREAT personal service this little strip center place is for you. it's not fancy. looks like it was probably a pizza or sub shop originally with a few booths. you order at the counter and Linda (the co-owner/wife/mother) brings it out to you. Her husband can be seen in the kitchen cooking every order. In the summer their kids help out at the counter. i almost always get the chai chai pork -- a malaysian dish -- and it's great. the few other dishes i've had have been great too. here's the real difference though. on my second visit Linda remembered my name and what i had ordered. and she offered some suggestions of other things to try. when i ordered pans of food for my daughter's high school graduation party they insisted on delivering it so it be would fresh and hot at the start of the party. and she refused to take any money for it even though it's a 15-20 minute drive. to top it off, Eddie had hand carved carrot "birds" to put on top of every tray. you don't get this from chains. check these folks out. read more

Decided I would try something new to eat for dinner. I am by no means a Chinese food expert, and didn't even know where to begin with what to order. The menu is pretty large, and the descriptions vague. I followed the recommendations from other yelpers, and decided I would try the fried dumplings. I ordered a regular combo meal (eggroll, main dish, fried rice, soup) and dumplings. After my g/f snacking on some of it, it would basically be 2.5 meals for me. Like at least two lying on the ground, sprawled out, and can't move full. Fried dumplings (9.5/10): FYI the unnamed fried dumplings are pork and/or chicken. The ragoon dumplings are crab. I got the pork and chicken. It was more like a steamed dumpling rather than a fried texture. This could be the way it comes, or because I ordered takeout and was late picking it up and it got a bit soggy in the Styrofoam box from the heat. It was delicious and everything was incredibly hot. Very very good. It tastes homemade. I like the dipping sauce and the hint of fresh ginger in it. Note this appetizer dumpling includes 5 massive dumplings. They are really a standalone meal. They are not the typical tiny dumplings you get at the grocery store in the frozen food section. Trust me, two normal people cannot share this and each get a regular combo meal without having leftovers. Szechuan Beef (8.5/10): My first time trying this dish. I really like spicy food, and it was also very good. It definitely had a hint of heat, not a whole lot, but some hot pepper seeds would randomly kick it up a notch when you bit into a landmine. I loved it. Again, way more than I could eat. Fried rice (6.5/10): Typical Chinese fried rice, nothing extraordinary. Mine had some mushrooms in it. It might have been from the Szechuan Beef, but I don't know. I like mushrooms, but if you don't like them, sub them out perhaps. Again, way more than I could eat. Eggroll (8/10): Also good. Not amazing, but pretty solid. Unidentifiable substance inside that had good flavor. Hot and Sour Soup (9.5/10): Fantastic. I would go back just for this. It had a good balance between sour and hot. They have to please the majority of their customers and find the proper spiciness balance which I think they did. Some bites would be more sour, some would be more spicy. I wouldn't change it at all. Could it be more spicy for the spice nuts? Yes. If you want to make it more spicy, simple -- add a dab of habanero or ghost pepper sauce. I am one of those people that like incredibly spicy food, and this was good enough for me by itself. I didn't need to ramp it up. This would be a great winter dish and I will be back for it. Total 84/100. Give it a shot. **TIP FOR OWNER**: Update your website menu online. Its very difficult to read since it is not in focus and is blurry; this is an easy and simple fix. read more

Great little Chinese restaurant. I recently called in an order for General Tso's, fried dumplings, and chicken lo mein. The lady on the phone was very nice and said that my order would be ready within twenty minutes. i showed up approximately twenty minutes later, and my order was sitting on the front counter ready to be picked up. The food was good and I had no complaints whatsoever. I wasn't sure about what size to order (small or large) so I ordered a small and it was definitely enough food. Can't say enough good stuff about this place. After trying a few other local places and a few of the chains for Chinese food we never found a place we looked forward to ordering from. We wanted Chinese so would get food from one of the options in our area but never looked forward to it. So in our quest to find a better place we turned to Yelp and saw this place was highly recommended and have been going back ever since. The menu itself is not terribly extensive, but all the usuals are on there. I got bean curd with vegetables, which is very much like "home style tofu" at many places.
