We went to Dragon Pot for dinner and had a great experience! We made reservations ahead of time due to having a large group and was seated in a party room. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was also fantastic. Loved that we were able to have multiple different soup bases for the table to try and the different options for toppings and noodles. It was a generous amount of food per order and loved that this was an all you can eat to try different options. There is a sauce bar with some other appetizer items available.

Hallway walking past private dining rooms on the way to the restrooms. Pretty lights.

I would say Dragon Pot is "Fun" Dining not necessarily "Fine" dining and that is just fine by me. We received a nice welcome , we were seated promptly and enjoined the entire pot experience...ordering all kinds of ingredients. I must say that I found this restaurant and the women's restroom surprisingly quite clean. I believe it would be super fun to use one of their private dining areas for a table of 6-8. When we left a staff person at the hostess desk asked if we had a good experience... great job Dragon Pot.

I made reservations for my sister in law's birthday for a party of 7. We got a room which was spacious, clean, and beautiful! I'm glad it was separate, so for future reference I think I would go with a bigger group. I'd say the price is reasonable for a weekend all you can eat dinner and all the meat tasted fresh. The service was great and also it was pretty cool having the robot bring out our orders. I really enjoyed the sauce bar and how we can split up to 3 different soup bases. I look forward to brining my mom here for her birthday, she loves hot pot.

So many great options! Love that you can have three different broths in one pot!

I have been to Dragon Pot twice since they opened earlier this year. I love the variety of broth options and dishes. Including items like "rainbow noodles" that I haven't seen at any other hot pot restaurants in the Twin Cities area. I also think it's great that drinks are included too! Most hot pot places I have been to charge extra for soft drinks. Being able to order dishes off the tablet is an added bonus, seems to cut down on the wait time for items.

My new fav Hot Pot in the twin cities! It's all-you-can-eat but a bit spendy at $35 per adult so I'll try to come in for a weekday lunch next time when it's $25. I love that you can choose 2 or 3 different broths in the same pot. The Thai Tom Yum broth was so tasty - highly recommend. However, it was a little bit spicy so we chose the less spicy miso broth as our second option. Both were delicious. Our favs were: Sliced Beef Belly Scallops Shrimp Dumplings Sesame Balls Jumbo Shrimp Special Sauce (this house sauce was better than any sauce I've ever made myself) Service was just ok. Someone was always nearby if we needed help, but some were not as friendly as others. Ordering was primarily through an iPad interface, so it was efficient and accurate. Ambiance was minimalist, clean and modern. I noticed they had 4 private rooms that could accommodate 8 people at a round table (2 pots per table).

Super fun mid-week outing. My first experience with hot pot did not disappoint me. Food was great! Fun service. A really good value too. Recommend for a day off that you can relax and enjoy.

All you can eat hot pot with a 2 hr time limit. Parking is decent. It's in between the ramen shop and Tous Les Jours. You pay up front, place your order on a tablet and the food gets sent to you on a cute robot. They had a pretty big selection to choose from, but you can't customize the spice level if you're looking at the Szechuan broth. They have a good selection of dipping sauce ingredients and even have premixed ones (I got it but didn't end up trying the premixed hot pot sauce but the people I went with said it was too sweet). It's nice and clean, the bathrooms give 2000s club vibes lol, they have this cool sky lights above a section of seating that even has constellations. I liked that they also had rooms for bigger parties. We had gotten there early so we were seated at our own table but those that came later were put with other parties for the longer tables. I can't really find anywhere that has the prices but we went on Presidents Day during lunch but ended up paying $34.99 pre tax (it said dinner but I'm not sure if there's a difference). Overall, I'd recommend it. They have a good playlist going (all time pop on YouTube, I asked lol), clean, good atmosphere and good selection.

Dragon pot is the best hot pot I've been to! We stopped in on a Sunday with my parents who had never tried hot pot before. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the variety of options there were. I liked the seating and there seemed to be plenty of space to enjoy our meal. We tried three soup bases, one being spicy. It was super easy to select what we wanted to order on the iPad, and the food came out on the robot carts. The sauce bar was nice, although kinda hard to see what sauces were there -- a little disorganized. We tried a ton of appetizers, meats, veggies, seafood and noodles. Flavors were good, no complaints. We even stopped next door for matcha ice cream after our meal. A fun dining experience for the whole family!

Mushroom & Thai Tom Yum

My friend and I walked in at 11:30am on a Sunday without a reservation and had no problem getting a solo table for just the two of us. We paid immediately upon checking in at the front desk as it's all you care to enjoy. We were then greeted at our table right away and the server helped us pick which two broths we wanted. The server then walked us through how to order items from the iPad at a table and we were off to the races! Or so we thought... after a few minutes of the broths still being room temp we found out they didn't have the hot pot turned on for us. I was able to reach under the table and turn it on, but how strange it wasn't set up ready to go for us. The vibe is clean and modern. Be aware that you could be sharing a long table with another party if the place were to fill up. It's 4 seats to one hot pot. We enjoyed the Mushroom and the Thai Tom Yum broths. We were told the Thai Tom Yum wasn't that spicy, but be warned it is spicy! All our vegetables and pork were fresh and delicious (meat and wontons come out frozen). We weren't rushed which let us enjoy the meal to the fullest. The cutest little robot cat beings out your dishes as you order them, and you have to take them off the robot's shelves as it gets delivered to your table. This is such a fun gem to have in Richfield.

So happy to have a hot pot place in this area! It is all you can eat, and you pay in the front. $25 for lunch (Mon - Fri 11am-3:30pm) and dinner is $35. For the private rooms, you have to call and make a reservation (party of 8 or more only) and all the other tables are walk in only! You have a 2 hour limit with a good number of bases to choose from! I would recommend the Korean seafood! Kimchi and Tom Yum were good, a bit too sour for my liking. Szechuan was not my favorite but if you like that numbing spice, I highly recommend that one! You get free soda (Pepsi products) included. There is a sauce bar and some fruit in the back! While this is not the most amazing hot pot I've had, I'll gladly take it! The quality of the beef were pretty good, I recommend the beef brisket & beef belly! And the vegetables were mostly fresh! It would be nice if they had a dessert option in the back as well! Again, overall, this is a decent spot for hot pot!

Saw this through instagram and TikTok so decided we really needed to stop by and check it out. First off it's located near several newer restaurants in the area. There is a decent amount of parking but it gets taken up quickly because in this strip mall is 4 great places to try out in a row. When you get in you put your name on a tablet waiting list. The restaurant is not super big so expect to wait a little bit. Staff is very nice and service is super quick. They have a couple of the robots that will bring out items to your table. These robots are aware of their surrounding and will avoid hitting people and other objects . I saw other robot hit its break as someone walked in front of it. You do pay ahead before you sit down and then you can order up to 3 broths. We tried Korean kimchi, Japanese miso and Szchuan spicy . All were very good. Just remember that Szechuan spicy is very spicy. The Korean kimchi is not that spicy. The Japanese miso tastes super good The meat options are very good and same with veggies. Somethings that are unique includes abalone, kitten paws (shrimp cakes in shape of paws) , fortune pouches, roe filled fish balls and more. I liked the selection of apps you can get like sesame balls, spring rolls, French Frieda and pumpkin dumplings. Wouldn't mind going back again but the restaurant does feel super cramp.

Spicy (red), miso (left), peppercorn (back right). Tablet for ordering. Some noodles in the bowls and other items on the left background

So we wanted to try something new on Christmas Eve instead of cooking like we normally would. After days of cooking and hosting Christmas Day the next day who wants more dishes right?! We we knew we wanted Asian but what kind. My sister had never tried Hotpot before so that sounded like a great thing to expose her to for a special day. Dragon Pot was a very nice, well ventilated place. Clean and the team was very nice and welcoming, answered questions and explained everything well. I mention well-ventilated because our family had been to another hotpot place a couple of years ago and when we went in the air was so spicy that we all started coughing because it was burning our lungs. All of us LOVE spice but the air was thick with it. That was not the case here and that made it a much better place experience for us. Each table gets a tablet so you can just order everything you want on the tablet and it comes out either with a robot delivery (cute) or a team member. They have a lot of great choices from meats to veggies to noodles and broth. We chose 3 broths (spicy, miso, and peppercorn). We tried an array of meats and veggies (loved the daikon, potatoes, mushrooms and broccoli), noodles and dumplings, and fried dough etc. We really loved the miso broth! We also utilized the sauce bar as well which had a nice selection as well as some sides (kimchi, seaweed salad, pickled cucumbers, and some others). Everything was fun and filling and it was a very good experience. My one suggestion is having some tongs because they provide a slotted spoon and a regular spoon (only one for the table which is challenging honestly with 4 people) but it is REALLY difficult to get things like noodles out or things that fall to the bottom (potatoes, daikon etc). If you havent done something like this before don't hesitate to try it out! You won't feel out of place or unwelcome and the team is great about explaining things if you aren't sure. And it's fun too!

I met up some family for hot pot at this new restaurant. It's all you can eat. Pay at the counter ter and once you're seated you can order what kind of broth and sides for the hot pot. There's also a sauce and dessert station in the back to mix. There were some spicy peanuts that tasted amazing, maybe I was just hungry?? Anyway the crew will bring out the pot, consistent of 3 different compartments if you choose 3 different broths. Then a robot cart will bring out the meats and veggies you choose for the hot pot. This restaurant is pretty nice, private rooms available. Large tables to accommodate big parties. And also the ceiling has stars. Definitely recommend this place to eat, it is soup season.

One of the best things is that you can raise the food from the broth so you don't have to dig for it. We ended up trying almost everything plus some apps (also included). There are some guidelines on the table for how long to cook the food and they are somewhat accurate. Some of the vegetables took longer and some of the meat should have been shorter but we finally caught on. We loved the multitude of mushroom options. And the seafood was very good. The spicy broth is indeed spicy (not MN hot - spicy). We cooked many items in spicy and then mixed that and another broth for our bowls. That worked great. Once seated, your greeted with a tall cold glass of water, a small cup for your complimentary hot tea. The menu is a bit large so I recommend maybe reviewing it prior to sitting or coming in to eat, to help save time and not feel rushed to order. I ordered the lobster sticky rice plate. It's a seasonally priced item on their menu. As of April 5th, the price was around $72.00 for a full lobster. It was steamed I think, then what I find odd but unique is the chef chopped up the lobster while still in it's shell then mixed the sticky rice and scrambled eggs with it, onto a large serving plate. It looks nice and delicious. I thought the lobster would've been de-shelled. So if you don't want to mess with the lobster shell maybe ask if they can exclude it from your dish. Highly recommend eating here, the prices are decent on the regular things and the food tastes awesome!

I swirl it for 10 seconds or so then let it rest on my sauce of choice - sesame paste sauce, or chili garlic oil sauce. I'll eat it, along with noodle or rice, a qail egg perhaps. My mouth explodes with flavor. Every time. Hot pot, hot pot. In my gastronomical journey through life, Chinese hot pot is possibly my greatest encounter. And locally, it's Le Pot. Best broth bases - mala spicy, pork bone, and Tom yum are endorsed by me and my girlfriend Great foodstuffs - qual egg, udon noodles, good fatty beef, crab sticks, good old cabbage, tofu, bean curd, enoki mushroom etc - Lamb and pork are alright at this location, could be better Great sauce bar, as I can assemble my staples - Sauce 1: black vinegar, chili oil with flake, garlic oil with garlic, sesame oil, scallions, cilantro (about equal parts and adjust); season with sugar, salt and soy sauce if desired - Sauce 2: lots of sesame paste, and leave as is or maybe add scallions, chili oil, sesame seed **I do wish they had chive paste** - Sauce 3: Oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, cilantro, green onion, black vinegar Value - it's like 30-35 dollars a person here. - I often leave more satisfied here than I do after a "fancy" night on the north loop What's missing - ambiance is okay - I do like a huge communal pot - Chive flower paste - Pork and lamb could be better - Broths are good, but I like the Chicago restaurants best Local hot pot honorable mentions - the place at Asia Mall with the electric rack innovation - Legendary Spice - you are free to grab a tray and raid their fridges/freezers for whatever meat, vegetable, etc you want. It was our first experience at a Hot Pot spot, so the server explained the menu and took our drink order. He also informed us where we could find the sauce bar (near the entrance) if we wanted sauces. Good. We ordered and received the Hot Pot bases and all of the toppings relatively quickly. The server turned on the bbq pit thing in the center of the table once the proteins arrived. Great! The table ordered Original, Miso, Kimchi (best favor), and Tom Thai. Most of the flavors were bland at best, except the Kimichi, which was too spicy for most of the table but it was tasty! Bc I was sharing a pot with someone that can't tolerate spicy, I didn't get that base. We tried the soup bases. Meh... Everyone added proteins and veggies to their soups. 6 out of 7 people were disappointed with the hot pots. The common complaint was "this doesn't have flavor." We had two 10 years that enjoyed watching the squid tentacles curl in the soup but not the soup, specifically bc it was bland. This was true for most of us at the table. The beef, chicken and pork all had a mild fishy taste but lacked beef, chicken, or pork flavor. I cooked the protein on the little table grill with chopsticks (we weren't provided with tongs) but again, no flavor. I went to the sauce bar for the table (I found the tongs there). We were told about the sauce bar but not about the tongs, which made my personal experience laborious bc I was one of two people decent with chopsticks at our table. Anyways, sauce bar. Got sauces. Sauces didn't help cover the fish taste. Nor did the sauce help the already cooked protein taste good. The ambiance was smoky, probably due to the grills on the table but of our guests had to leave bc the smoke gave him a headache. The started off nicely but as the meal progressed the server never came to refill drinks or inquire about our meal. He didn't provide recommendations to get the best experience and he didn't provide serving utensils. All in all, I don't recommend. I would like a refund but based on the lack of serve (especially knowing this was our first experience at a Hot Pot spot), I didn't feel comfortable saying anything and I didn't feel like being upset. We just decided to not return and leave a review. Passive, yes, but the experience remained underwhelming not overwhelming. ALSO, you get ice cream bars at the end of your meal! They didn't tell us that! But I saw so many other guests eating them and we were still hungry, I asked if they were included in our PREMIUM DINNER. Ice cream was included. No one told us until we asked. We spent close to $300 dollars for this meal and we received subpar serve and subpar fishy food. I don't recommend.
