I remembered that Tyler told me that Selena is the piercer that works here. So as I headed out for the day, I stopped in to say hi to everyone. I got to say hello to Tyler and officially meet Selena! Everyone was kicked back and it was so chill in there. Great vibe! I wanted to give them a little business, so I purchased a new nose ring and tongue ring. She pulled out the jewelery and after selecting what I wanted, she sanitized the chair and jewelry. Brought me in and started pushing the jewelery into my nose. After being out for a few days, it needed to be pierced again. OUCH! Selena had to grab the piercing needle (I forgot the word she used for it) and push it through. Then, she had to push the jewelery through. It was rougher this time because I had scar tissue in there. She also put my tongue ring in for me and made sure it was on there nice and tight. She took good care of me, spayed my nose with saline to keep the area clean. I really love the vibe when I walk in here. Am I weird or is there something soothing about the sound of the tattoo gun working? I'm looking forward to when I am ready to get my next piercing because I will be coming back here to see Selena!

We walked in, but they do offer tandem piercing (both ears at the same time) if they have two piercers onsite, so I'd recommend calling ahead if that's important to you. It is definitely pricier than a place like Claire's, but it is worth the cost to avoid the risk of infection and the trauma of forcing a blunt earring through with a gun. They also have much higher-quality titanium and gold jewelry. Just be sure to ask for the price of your jewelry selection if you are budget-conscious. Highly recommended!

The office entrance is spacious and comfortable--my husband likes to lounge on the comfy sofa and watch the History Channel on the big TV when I am getting hours of work done. She made three attempts with the same needle to pierce my navel, and with too shallow placement at that. After it went through it was gushing blood and she then proceeded to pull the needle back out and then stick the jewelry in. She then tried to pierce my nose and again couldn't make it through, and left the needle half way through my nose to to grab the jewelry. I cried and told her to stop because it was excruciatingly painful, she then offered to give me the jewelry, and try to stick it in by myself at home. To top it off she charged me about $70, and said she was sorry I was in pain. I later went to a professional piercer and she pierced my nose in less than a second with no pain at all. Deena is in no way qualified to pierce.

I called the night before to make an…read moreappointment for 4:00 PM and was told that time was completely fine and that no one else was scheduled for a piercing around then, so I made my plans around that appointment. The next day, I arrived at 4:00 PM as scheduled, only to find around 10 people waiting. At first, someone came out and told us the piercer would be out soon. At 4:13, the piercer finally came out and said he needed to check his books because apparently there was no appointment under my name. He then told us he still had another piercing to do and was already about 10 minutes behind schedule. It's extremely frustrating to make an appointment ahead of time, show up on time, and then find out that the shop either failed to record the appointment or failed to communicate properly. I understand that things can run behind, but this was not just a normal delay -- my appointment was apparently never even put in the books. By around 4:20, I had already been waiting well past my appointment time for something that should have been organized beforehand. I don't have time to sit around waiting because of a scheduling mistake that wasn't mine. Definitely not the experience I expected, and I hope they improve their communication and time management.
