Ray is thorough, honest, and very helpful. He and his assistants did an awesome job fixing my leak behind my bathtub, and patched/painted my wall perfectly. His fees are very reasonable and fair. I had called a couple of major plumbing companies with over 1k 4-5 star reviews for an assessment and was quoted a lot more than Ray's quote. What a fantastic experience! Ray gave me a free estimate over the phone for a new water heater at a very affordable price. He gave me different pricing options for water heaters, so I could choose the right one for my budget. He was courteous and patient, answering all the questions I had. We looked at several plumbers and decided to go with Drain Busters, based on recommendations from friends. Ray came out and installed the water heater without issue. He was knowledgeable, courteous and answered all my questions. They even did several additional things beyond the estimate, like install a recirculating pump and replace a broken drain pipe that had only cosmetic damage. We live in an area with large Redwood trees that have caused numerous issues with our plumbing lines. I have used this company for 7 years and have always has kind, helpful, courteous guys come over...until today. OMG!! My technician, Jay, was rude, and insulting. He had a know-it-all attitude and did not respect my request to explain to me the problem. It felt as if he was thinking, "why waste my breath, you are a woman and I am a man and you should just take my word for it!" We have all new landscaping in progress and I was concerned with his equipment ruining our brick and stone work. His assistant tried to suggest placing some plywood down. But this guy clearly did not want to work at my house. I waited 2 hours to be treated like 2nd class citizen. I have NEVER been brought to tears by someone's treatment of me, and this guy did it. He clearly did not respect me, and it also seemed obvious that he did not want to work at my house, so I listened to my gut and told him to leave. If he was this verbally abusive to me in just 5 short minutes, how would he have treated my property? I am sorry Drain Busters. After 7 years of good service, I will never use your company again! P.S. My husband called to complain about how I was treated, and guess what...Jay, my technician, is the owner. If the owner treats clients this way, I feel so sorry for his staff. read more

Please stay away. I had a very unpleasant experience. The main guy (I think his name is Ray) showed up with another person. 1) not receptive to questions 2) was unable to explain the bill to me. When I asked a follow up question he says he can be head of the organization I am working since I can't follow his bill. lol, really!!? 3) does more work than what I asked for and then charges me more than what we initially planned for. I am fine with that as long as he can clearly explain me what the additional work and how he charged those. There are better much better plumbers on Yelp. Stay away! read more

This company is excellent. Our pipes from the main in the garage backed up and had water everywhere. We tried calling several plumbing companies, none of which called back. We called them and they were here in less than an hour. They did excellent work and cleared the pipes the right way. They were very thorough and did excellent work. We had a different plumber last week and they did the minimum, which resulted in the backup tonight. Bad experience, job never completed eventhough invoice said parts, labor, one yr. warranty...$1300 plus $146.57 additional part for an afternoon job! Owner wanted to charge another $150 to finish installing fixtures where he already installed the valve in the kit, when refused, he hung up and said "sue me." I went to another plumber who finished the first plumber (Drain Buster's) job and charged $125. He commented that my price was high for the initial work. read more

Had a clogged kitchen drain and got their number from a helpful neighbor. Called them around 10:30am, they suggested 12:30, I asked if they could make it a bit later as I had a lunch appointment, and they suggested 13:30. At pretty much exactly 13:30 a guy called Randal showed up, was very courteous and took a look at the problem, gave me a quote and was done about half an hour later.
