This is the first time I've purchased something like this through text messaging. I contacted De Anza Water Conditioning because I wanted a salt-based water softener (not a water conditioner) for my new townhome. The property is built on slab with an electric water heater. Kim was my online salesperson who reviewed photos of the area and confirmed the footprint needed, plus where the regeneration water was to drain. De Anza was running a special on the Kinetico S650 water softener which brought it close to what their competitors had for purchase and installation. The difference here is Kinetico systems don't require an electrical hook-up, you only need a water supply and a drain. Fast forward one week and Benjamin Rodriguez came over to perform the installation. Excellent work and even provided a hose bib if I needed to wash my car with soft water. Benjamin explained that the resin tanks won't need servicing for 10 years and only the pre-filter needs changing every 3-4 years which can be done by the owner (they provide a special wrench.) Tam was straightforward and clear with his product with very little competitive bashing. Straightforward enough that I was ready to sign. But no, I have 4 more companies come in. I realized that the engineering of their unit is good. It does not have all the reporting and smart home features but I am not sure I want that. I want a water softener to work. The tech was accommodating. Discussed the unit placement. We ended up putting it outside versus under the house. He was great, easy to speak with and knew the best way to do the install. They installed the reverse osmosis machine as well and it was done well. I now know every major manufacturer of reverse osmosis's and water softeners. Benjamin did an outstanding job installing the Q850 system for us. Beyond the installation itself, he went above and beyond by helping resolve additional water leakage and air-gap overflow issues. There was some internal miscommunication noted in his work order stating that the ice line was not included in the scope, which was unexpected since I had written confirmation from the salesperson that it would be included. This came as a surprise to Benjamin and had the potential to delay his next project. Despite this, he remained professional and patient, completed the ice line installation for the A200 filtering system, and thoroughly addressed all of my questions about the systems. I doggedly researched whole house water treatment systems. I am on a very large community water well system, O'Connor Water Tract which is high in manganese and very hard water. I chose the Kinetico system which does not require power and does require salt bags to be added occasionally. I have had it about 10 days and notice a positive difference. I also have the Kinetico A200 RO under sink system for dedicated drinking water and it's great. We had an RO under-sink filter (Kinetico K5) installed by Kai and the process was seamless. As renters, we weren't sure if we could get this done but with the increased levels of Chromium-6 in our city's annual water reports, we eventually decided it was worth the effort. And it was actually very little effort. Kai explained step by step as he was installing everything so we could figure out how to make sure everything was returned to normal after we vacated our rental in the future. He was fast, clean, polite, and good at his job. We are very picky with installations and he even reinstalled a the spigot from scratch once he was finished with the first installation because our sink had an odd installation feature which required he include this sort of plastic cap to make it perfectly aligned. I don't know the terms to describe how he did it, but he took the extra time and it looks perfect. He even trimmed the gasket so no extra was showing under the spigot. Thanks Kai! read more

I am so so so happy with my new water system. I was skeptical at first because I had purchased a Lifesource water system 7 years ago and it did nothing for my water. In my area, the water is incredibly hard. De Anza sent Chris Emam to install my water system and the under sink RO system. It took a few hours, but since my tandem garage is so tight, he got crafty and did some carpenter work to get it to sit nicely on the side of my garage. The plumbing work was super clean. He was detailed and friendly and made me feel confident about my choice. He also took my old system to dispose it for me. It may seem pricey, but they threw in the RO system under the sink for free. We love our water filters. The Kinetico system is the best there is. De Anza water has such great service. I love the service. They are extremely fair, and they bring out my filters to me when I'm in a rush. Whoever does the filing does a great job, they always have my info ready to go. I forget if I bought two filter sets or one last time, but they can tell me in a wink. We just had a second system installed and the installer - Chris - was top notch. We accidentally had him install the wrong faucet and had forgotten we hadn't even purchased one. Chris said no problem, and like Santa Clause he went out to his truck and got the most perfect matte black faucet! He installed and uninstalled one faucet, then installed a second like it was a huge pleasure. He put a water sensor, a tray, and tucked everything neatly under the sink.
