Their technician came out. I asked as soon as he stepped off the truck. Confirming what needs to get done and the price. He stated" I am not quite sure who quoted you that amount, our minimum for this is $650". They are a small company. So, I am quite sure everyone is well connected regarding communication. Was leaving for vacation so paid the $650. I did complain to them regarding the above. They offered me $20. I despise companies who do this. Give you a price over the phone . Our technician Austin was cordial, knowledgable, and helpful throughout our whole lining process. I really appreciated the way he was available and willing to go the extra mile for a customer by explaining clearly and making sure I understood what the scope of work would be. The interface with drain mob and their estimates were really helpful. They also gave me a before and after video of my work done. I have worked with Black Mountain Plumbing and other highly rated San Diego plumbers but I found Drain Mob to be of high quality and high customer care. Even another company I got a quote from (I got 5 quotes) they said Drain Mob is really good. The price of the work also was reasonable for the work needed to be done. The day of the job about 5 workers showed up and they explained things. Very very unprofessional owner cursed and threatened on phone. My experience with the Mob was very positive. I was happy to find them, as it meant that I didn't have to tear up my bathroom floor and exterior patio, which was the alternative proposed by a different company. The Drain Mob rep who came and did my estimate was knowledgeable and friendly, as were the plumbers and liners who did my job over the course of two days. I got the names of two liners, Rubén and Oscar, but the plumber was great too. Drain Mob's original estimate included the cost of installing clean outs, but it turned out I already had them, they were just a bit hidden. Their business office deducted that cost from the job without a fuss, which was just one of several ways they showed integrity with my job. I had an emergency situation at 8 am on a Saturday. My sprinkler value had a leak and we had flooding from the lawn onto the street. I called Drain Mob and even though Drain Mob could not perform the service for my area, the manager Billy spent almost 2 hours helping me look for someone who could help and service my area. I appreciated this because it was almost impossible to find someone to fix an irrigation issue at 8 am on a Saturday. Most other businesses were closed, did not service my area, did not perform the type of service needed, or simply were booked. Even though I was able to find a different technician, Billy told me that he would still have his technician on stand by if I needed it and helped guide me through the process so I would not get up charged. We had issues with our plumbing since early this year. We had been using our home warranty for the repair twice. This have never happened before... First when the storm was happening late January, we drained the bathtub which led to water rising in our shower and water seeping on the side of the toilet. It took about 40 mins before it all started gurgling and it all drained. The plumber from the home warranty came out and since there were no issues he could see, he concluded that there was probably a backup from the city that caused the sewer valve to close. Two months later, two of the toilets downstairs weren't flushing all the way. The home warranty sent their plumbers and they said that it was toilet paper that was causing the valve to close. They recommended to not use toilet paper or to use less of it. That didn't seem to be an acceptable answer for us unless we install a bidet. The warranty company said that they may cover it if we have someone else come out and they give a different resolution. We called Drain Mod and they came out the next day. They looked at the sewer line and said it's about to back up again. We all agreed to remove the sewer flap/valve. We requested them to run the camera down the line to make sure it's not something else blocking the line. They waited patiently while I called the warranty company since they said they wanted to speak to the plumbers while they were there. (The refused to cover the fix but that's whole other story.) Overall, we were happy with the service we received from Drain Mod and would use them again. read more

Rob from Drain Mob showed up within 40 minutes of our initial call (even before the time window they provided). Rob cleared our clog (using our outdoor clean-out port for access). As an additional service, he also sewer jetted the drain from the house to the city line, which should mean we won't have to deal with what was a toilet paper jam again for a long time. Pricing options were provided up front and were consistent with the service Rob provided. The work truck Rob showed up in had all the appropriate tools for clearing drains, including a camera on a line, a sewer jetter high pressure hose, a regular hose, a compressor, and even his own tank full of water. They were referred to us by a plumber we used, since he did not have the equipment and upgraded service that he can provide us, which included hydro jet and better cameras that can look deeper into possible other issues. They came right away and in less than 5 minutes knew what would help our drainage issue. And was done in less than an hour. On top of that? He gave me some lessons on what to do weekly to keep our drains and old pipes open and what to never ever put down thru garbage disposal and drain and why it is so bad for it and causes clogs.
