He then proceeded to put a notepad in front of me and introduced 100% financing with NO interest in the first 12 months. Wow, from knowledge & expertise to customer service, Drain Mob is on point! We were looking at a $38k job to replace our corroded cast iron drains with ABS. Not only was it insanely expensive, we didn't want the risks of trenching all the way up to our foundation. Thank God we did our research! They say you should get 3 bids for standard contract work; 10 for drains and plumbing. We can absolutely see why. The scope and price were all over the place from company to company. It took four bids and weeks of back and forth with competitors before we decided to go with Cody and his team. But once we did, we had complete trust in them. Their customer service is very old school in a way that doesn't really exist anymore. Where other companies gave us a blanket price or made us wait a week for quotes, Cody was ON IT, working up four distinct proposals for us, all extremely detailed and itemized, so we knew what solution would best fit our needs and budget. When we hit a wall--due to both the unknown state of our kitchen line and the barrage of industry jargon--Cody gave us space and ultimately offered to complete the job in phases so he wouldn't overpromise and underdeliver. At no point did we feel pressured to go under contract like we did with the other guys. Cody was just there, holding our hands until he answered every last question. Bonus points for him being a boots-on-the-ground contractor, not a random sales guy! As for the job itself, Tyler and Dawson killed it! They let us know what they were doing every step of the way. When a member of the crew had a family emergency that resulted in a no show, Jose made it right from the back office, bending over backwards to get a replacement tech on site the same day. He also discounted our bill for the inconvenience and moved other clients around to get the OG crew back on the job ASAP per our request. For as unsexy of a project as this was, we're thrilled with the results of our pull-in-place epoxy liner. We have before and after pics & videos, a new clean out and stand pipe, and a reputable company to turn to if we ever need them. Plus we paid $13k less than we would have had we done a complete replacement via trenching. Do your research, but just know--their Yelp reputation is legit. I really appreciated the way he was available and willing to go the extra mile for a customer by explaining clearly and making sure I understood what the scope of work would be. The interface with drain mob and their estimates were really helpful. They also gave me a before and after video of my work done. I have worked with Black Mountain Plumbing and other highly rated San Diego plumbers but I found Drain Mob to be of high quality and high customer care. Even another company I got a quote from (I got 5 quotes) they said Drain Mob is really good. The price of the work also was reasonable for the work needed to be done. The day of the job about 5 workers showed up and they explained things. I called Drain Mob and even though Drain Mob could not perform the service for my area, the manager Billy spent almost 2 hours helping me look for someone who could help and service my area. I appreciated this because it was almost impossible to find someone to fix an irrigation issue at 8 am on a Saturday. Most other businesses were closed, did not service my area, did not perform the type of service needed, or simply were booked. Even though I was able to find a different technician, Billy told me that he would still have his technician on stand by if I needed it and helped guide me through the process so I would not get up charged. We had issues with our plumbing since early this year. We had been using our home warranty for the repair twice. This have never happened before... First when the storm was happening late January, we drained the bathtub which led to water rising in our shower and water seeping on the side of the toilet. It took about 40 mins before it all started gurgling and it all drained. The plumber from the home warranty came out and since there were no issues he could see, he concluded that there was probably a backup from the city that caused the sewer valve to close. Two months later, two of the toilets downstairs weren't flushing all the way. The home warranty sent their plumbers and they said that it was toilet paper that was causing the valve to close. They recommended to not use toilet paper or to use less of it. That didn't seem to be an acceptable answer for us unless we install a bidet. The warranty company said that they may cover it if we have someone else come out and they give a different resolution. We called Drain Mod and they came out the next day. They looked at the sewer line and said it's about to back up again. We all agreed to remove the sewer flap/valve. We requested them to run the camera down the line to make sure it's not something else blocking the line. They waited patiently while I called the warranty company since they said they wanted to speak to the plumbers while they were there. (The refused to cover the fix but that's whole other story.) My experience with the Mob was very positive. I was happy to find them, as it meant that I didn't have to tear up my bathroom floor and exterior patio, which was the alternative proposed by a different company. The Drain Mob rep who came and did my estimate was knowledgeable and friendly, as were the plumbers and liners who did my job over the course of two days. I got the names of two liners, Rubén and Oscar, but the plumber was great too. Drain Mob's original estimate included the cost of installing clean outs, but it turned out I already had them, they were just a bit hidden.
