We had some odor coming from the sewer line to I got someone from Drain Pro's to come out and take a look. He came out and told me that an entire pipe was missing and that he had never seen anything like it. He then said to install the 20 ft pipe it would cost me $2500. I was floored because I have lived in this home for a year and a half and have not experienced the odor longer than a couple of weeks. So I decided to get a second opinion and had a different plumber come out. He came up and said there was not a missing pipe but a cap needed to be replaced and the line needed to be jetted. $200. Man, I can't believe I could have had a pipe installed that I didn't need for $2500. Ugh.. read more

I found Efren through a referral. I am real picky about the interaction and level of detail from the people I work with. I absolutely hate to have someone come out to fix a problem and then try to upsell me on some other unrelated service. With Efren and Drain Pros, I got exactly what I wanted. I needed my main shutoff valve replaced in the basement due to a slight leak at the drain valve. Over the phone he gave me a tip on something that I could try which, if it worked, would save a trip and obvious expense. I personally appreciate this type of offer especially since other plumbers I called wouldn't say, quote or recommend anything over the phone and then you're stuck with a house call bill if you don't use their service. But I decided to have piece of mind and have him just replace the whole valve anyway. Efren and his apprentice showed up exactly when he said he would. We went over the work that needed to be done, he got the part and started work. The work was done promptly, cleanly and thoroughly. Here's the additional detail that I can really appreciate... Everything was done. He could have taken payment, packed up and left. No, he stood over the water meter to watch to see if the little hand was moving and thus showing a leak. I actually had another leak in the house that I never knew about! You can't hear it in the house it is so small. He put his head in the tank of our toilets and low and behold found the leak to be one of the toilet valves. You literally had to stick your ear in the tank just to barely hear it. So did he try to sell me another $100 or $200 or whatever service to fix that? Did he try to scare me into thinking it was an urgent or highly complex matter. Nope. He pointed out the leak and asked if I felt comfortable enough to do it myself (which I've changed out tons of them so no big deal) and that was that. No attempted upsell of some $289 one year all coverage b.s. and scare tactic that it has to be replaced and if you have to replace it you need to replace everything else kind of garbage. Straight up. Honest. Not pushy or sketchy. Now to plan the bathroom remodel and find out his schedule to handle the plumbing part for us. read more

I had an issue with the water pressure in the bathroom sink of a newly purchased home and called up Drain Pros to come take a look. We were having issues with water pressure normally, but when the sprinklers came on, the water pressure was a slow trickle. Efren came in and quickly diagnosed the first issue with our faucet aerator. He then took a look at our plumbing line on our 100 year old home and pointed out where we would be looking at some needed upgrades to improve our plumbing in the entire household. The entire time he was incredibly helpful, informative and provided some much needed education to us as new homeowners. He was not pushy at all but did point out the solutions he recommended and an estimated cost. He did not charge us for fixing the aerator or providing the full fix quote and was a pleasure to speak to, even when delivering somewhat bad news about our current plumbing situation. I will definitely be using Drain Pros to come back and fix the root of our plumbing issues soon. We had a number of terrible plumbers come out and try to rip us off already, so it's refreshing to see someone actually care about their customers. It's one thing to not complete the job to satisfaction, it's another thing to make an appointment a week ahead of time, only to be cancelled 15 minutes before the appointment. After having my gas turned off, sweating through the hot nights and taking cold showers, I was looking forward to some possible relief. I waited a week to get my gas leak fixed by Effrin because of his "confidence" regarding getting the job done right. I made an appointment on a day that was wide open, only to be cancelled on 15 minutes before the appointment. Considering his knowledge of my situation, to cancel at the last minute shows zero consideration, honor or respect. What an absolutely ridiculous way to run a business. Woke up this morning to 4 inches of standing water in our basement. I needed immediate help. Found Drain Pros Plumbing on Yelp and nearby. They got me on their schedule and gave me a 1-3pm arrival window. Jonathan arrived around 1:30 and was able to quickly determine the possible problem, dead sump pump. I wish I could give them a higher rating, but that's difficult to do when they no-call, no-show for the estimate you scheduled off work to be home for. After making this appointment a week earlier, I received a voicemail the day of at 11am asking for our 4pm estimate to be moved up because his day ended early and he "would rather not hang around until 4," and when I called back, it went to a full voicemail. Needless to say, he decided not to call or show up at 4. My calls to the main office went unanswered. I'm sorry - if you can't be a professional regardless of the size of the project, you shouldn't be in business. The icing on the cake was the waste of PTO to be home then.
