Drakes is delicious !! My boyfriend and I came here after reading the menu and we were not disappointed. We came on a busy week day evening and even though the patio is packed and seating is first come first serve, the food was worth the close-together feeling. The server was nice and informative. The only thing I would note is that she offered us a few samples of alcohol without our consent or ever checking our ID. While most people may find this "cool" or "laid back", I do need to mention that some guests are not as old as they appear; and also some People cannot be near alcohol. While it is up to the guest to drink or not, I didn't agree with it being so readily available. Small things like that get great places like this shut down and in lots of legal trouble. We did order the burgers AND sushi. My boyfriend had a stuffed mini burger and I had a mushroom Swiss. They were both delicious and cooked well. We also had the munch crunch roll, and it was delicious as well. Great combination. I hope this place stays around for a long time! We will be back. read more

Drakes is our favorite burger place, but the kitchen must be falling apart. The last two visits were terrible in that the orders were either cold or we were served the wrong food. Today we arrived at about 11:30. All the tables were busy so we chose the bar. We ordered our food and waited. During the 45 minutes we saw several orders come out and then return to the kitchen to be fixed for various reasons. Our food finally came out, but the server delivered the meals to another customer. Once they straightened it out, they delivered the meals to us and they were both wrong. The waitress just couldn't understand why we were dissatisfied. What great food! We loved the Siriacha wings, fish tacos, sweet potato fries and sushi! The place can get busy, but the servers do a great job of making sure you are getting your food quickly. You would not expect for a sports bar type restaurant to have both a decent bar food menu as well as a separate sushi menu. The sushi surprisingly is on par with most non high end sushi places. You can also get 120 oz table tap beers, play shuffleboard, or play darts. read more

A solid food joint. The burgers are on point and the appetizers are outstanding as well. The atmosphere is clean and fun. Great tunes in the evening to go along with your football watching. Concerning the football, there are a lot of TVs so you shouldn't have a hard time finding your game. Lastly, if you end up sitting at the back bar ask for Josie as your bartender / server. Every time I'm in the Nashville area, Drake's is a must! I've been here about 6 times in the last two years and each time, I have a great time. Food is superb, and their sangria is the best. They have a wide selection of craft beers on tap, so that's a major plus in my book. Even their sushi is great! You can't go wrong with anything you choose off the menu. I was skeptical about a restaurant that serves both burgers and sushi, that is quite the combo! It was pretty busy on the patio area so we grabbed a seat inside the restaurant, it's a sit yourself kind of joint and that was fine by us. We had to wait a little while before the server came around, but apart from that the service was good. We got the fried pickles to start, but they turned out to be the kind that we don't like. They were thinly sliced sandwich pickles in the light, salty batter. Definitely not the best fried pickles in town. I ordered two rolls, the spring roll and the philly roll. This is a pretty solid bar. I like that they have a sushi menu for when I'm not feeling up for greasy bar food. They have a good beer selection, but nothing to rave about if you like finding hidden gems on tap. Plenty of TVs for watching games in the front and the back of the restaurant. The front opens up to the outside when the weather is nice. And I love the music videos which brings back a lot of memories from throughout the years! One of the things I don't like is that the turn the lights down later in the night and the clubbing crowd comes out. So we typically are out of there by then. This place is usually pretty busy, so sometimes finding a seat can be hard. Staff is nice, but as others have mentioned, can be slow at times. read more

This place is a easy 3 star, probably more. However, the music is too loud at lunch time and the one seat by the service door (where I decided to sit) shakes every time the door closes. I had the Bleu cheese apple salad ($10) and it was very good, albeit over topped. There was actually so much topping I could fill a togo box with the leftover toppings after all the salad was gone! The kids chicken tenders were really dry, way more than than just cooking them too long...I think they might want to check the freshness date. I went here with a group of friends late on a Saturday night and had a pretty good time. It kind of turned into a club with people dancing and having fun. Was there last week for lunch. Service was great and sushi was yummy as always. Secret best sushi in town.

We t last night and sat at the round bar. We asked if there was a purse holder and told where they were by one of the bartenders. He then proceeded to walk away without asking us if he could get us a drink. We were finally able to get his attention a while later to order drinks and food. Drinks came within a decent amount of time and food was hot. However, neither of the bartenders acknowledged us for over 20 minutes while we were eating to ask how everything was or to see if we needed anything. The steak my friend ordered medium came out well done but we could never flag down the bartenders to let them know. It felt as if we were just ignored the rest of our time there. The child unit wanted sliders and this place popped up on yelp* as having them, so off we go. It's right beside Carrabba's and near the Starbucks. Clearly they go for the trendy, "we use garage doors as walls" look, but it works and I'm a sucker for that architectural schtick. I'm also a sucker for fried bologna sandwiches, which are on the menu. Oh yeah, they also have sliders. The food was tasty, but we also waited waaaaaay too long for a couple of sliders, a bologna sandwich, and fries. The waitress was apologetic. I was actually getting up to leave when she brought out the food. According to her, the kitchen was having problems. I hate it when the kitchen gets blamed. The fries were a little cooler than if they had just been made, so I suspect they sat for a while. The sandwiches were fine. I'd give them another try, but if service didn't pick up the slack, or that "kitchen problem" persists, I'll lower the okay score. read more

Meh. I was a little skeptical from the beginning about a burger and sushi place, but I was vetoed. Had a just okay lunch and won't be going back. The service was excellent, but the food that I got was just meh. The homemade potato chips with blue cheese and buffalo sauce on top were tasty, but the rest of the food was so so. I tried to order a burger medium, but was told that they didn't promise it'd be medium because the cooks "smash them down..." but we were promised it wouldn't be dry. Anyone who knows anything about cooking burgers knows that if you smash them down you squish all of the juice, moisture, and flavor out of them. I opted for the fish tacos instead. In hindsight, I should have gone with the burger that my friend ordered (which by the way came out dry and well done- the flavor of the meat was pretty good but all of that squishing did just what you'd expect...). He seemed happy with it... Fish tacos: there was about $0.30 worth of fish on my plate that was covered in a spongy batter. Nothing "crunchy" about my $11.00 crunchy fish tacos. Come on! White fish is so cheap! Where's my fish?! Amber, our server was delightful and hardworking. I would give her 5 stars, but I'll only be seeing her again if she goes to work at a burger joint. read more

I'm very surprised this place gets 4 stars. I ordered the edamame as an app and they were luke warm with no salt and were the worst I've ever had. I immediately regretted ordering sushi from the other reviews. The tempura shrimp was okay, the sauce was overly sweet and was more like a frosting than dipping sauce. I sat at the bar as I was in Nashville traveling for work and was sitting alone. The bartender was average at best. A smile or eye contact seemed very unnatural for him. When the keg ran out and he had to get the keg changed to pour me a beer, I had to ask in order for him to explain where my beer was. I've tried this place out a couple of times since it's close to my office. On my most recent visit, the waitress set a burger down in front of me that looked like a mount of dog food on bun. The patty was dried out and split in half down the center. I just looked at her like "why would you serve this to someone?" I just sent it back and left. You truly can get a much better burger and fries at Culver's for half the price. These folks can't make a decent burger and they serve sushi. Are you kidding me?!! They have good appetizers too, but their portions are definitely big enough that it's not always necessary! Excellent Choice! While in the Franklin area over the weekend we were looking for a local restaurant that had a broad menu and good reviews. Drake's met the match! Drake's has a wood burning fireplace that has an inviting smell as you walk in from the parking lot. Nice and relaxed interior perfect for the casual lunch or dinner with friends or colleagues. The burgers have an excellent flavor and the fries are tasty for a great combination! They have the best buffalo chicken quesadilla I have ever tried. Appetizers included warm pretzels with beer cheese and ground mustard this was a great choice...we also enjoyed excellent sushi yes sushi! They have a large menu section devoted to fresh sushi. The salads are well prepared with a great taste. If in Nashville I would highly recommend Drake's in Franklin. Also would like to say the staff was excellent and attentive including the manager that stopped by to check on us. Looks like we have a new favorite in Nashville! read more
