First time here. Nice atmosphere, good food and service. Tables and booths; a bit noisy as the there are a lot of tables and with everyone talking in the closed in space makes is a bit noisy. There is a bar with bar seating and additional seating at high bar tables/chairs. Outdoor patio covered seating is very nice, pets are allowed in the patio seating area. I accidentally discovered this place while looking for spots to eat for my birthday. The spot is kind of hidden behind the gas station and the shopping center with the Dollar Tree. When we went, the place is quite empty. We were immediately greeted and given menus. I had the chicken and waffles. The waffle was nice and crunchy and the chicken breast was nice and juicy. No complaints! I also had a French 75 which was made to perfection. Great 1st experience and I'll definitely be back during a happy hour. Good food but very noisy inside. We were one of only 6 tables during a weekday. very hard to hear the waitress or my lunch companions. Issue is one that is becoming more common in interior designs. No ceilings! look up just painted black girders and roof bottom, visible ducts and very high. No sound proofing or noise reduction. Essentially a cheap move in with minimal investment needed. Results noise! Best food in the world can't prevent a bad dining experience if you can't enjoy your surroundings. Something that more and more businesses forget today because they're looking to get in as cheap as they can to start turning a profit. read more

Everything here is great, except for the hostess. She was so rude, incompetent, and kept giving away our table because she got confused? I cannot believe she was given that position. Huge negative right at the beginning of our experience. Fortunately, things were fine after we got past the hurdle of being forced to interact with the awful hostess (she was working 5/18/2025 at noon). The ambience is nice, but it does get very busy and loud. Food is always great! The bar staff are super friendly, but the servers seem to be mad to be there. read more

Went about a week ago for brunch. Had the shrimp tacos, latte, and croissant beignets. Holy moly everything was so delicious! Our server was so nice too. Only complaint is that it gets real loud when there's a lot of people. I highly recommend this spot to anyone for the FOOD!! If you stop by, be sure to get the croissant beignets. Hostess was extremely unsociable as soon as we walked in. No hello no nothing no communication did not say a word just sat us down and gave us dirty looks. Ambience was alright and the server was nice. However the quality of the food was extremely disappointing. I ordered a simple omelette it came running with watery cheese and grease. We absolutely loved our time at Dream Cafe this past Sunday. We arrived toward the end of the brunch hour so the restaurant was pretty full but the hostess did a great job getting us a table for 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) in less than 10 minutes. We were sat and greeted within 10 mins and then our waitress took out order. Food came out promptly and was soo good! The atmosphere was very family and kid friendly. It was a little loud from talking but works great when you have small children. From start to finish we enjoyed our time. We will definitely be returning. read more

Everything tasted fresh and very good; the aioli on top of the sandwich lent an extra flavor and kept it from being dry. Service was great and attentive. Food was awesome as was the service but the temperature on a Saturday afternoon was very hot. I reported it to the waiter and he said there was nothing he could do. Everything was great. Our server spoke multiple languages and surprised us by greeting us with our native language. She's also super helpful recommending dishes and making sure to check on us regularly. I love the food selection, how friendly all the staff are. I have popped in two times now and all I can say is that the drinks and food are amazing! The first time for brunch the Benedict and biscuits and gravy were to die for! The Frosé coupled with breakfast made my meal sweet and refreshing! Then on Friday before HH ended we popped in with a group of 7 and enjoyed very reasonably priced and delicious drinks along with potstickers, chips, salads, and sandwiches! Ja'nae (sorry if it's misspelled) made the experience even better. Her service was great! She was extremely friendly and made us feel right at home! My only advice, as this place gets more buzzing - management should consider a few more staff people to ensure they keep the service up!! The bar/bathrooms are sleek and beautiful! I cannot wait for us to have a nice patio here in Richardson especially as summer hits! So many of us in the neighboring neighborhoods could really use a summer drinking spot! We went for a lunch at the new Dream Cafe location in Richardson and this restaurant is just what Richardson needed! It's cute for one, and the food is great for two, service was friendly and efficient as well. No loud music blaring, relaxing blue colors, just the place for a relaxing meal. We each just had a hamburger and fries, mine with mushrooms and swiss, his a plain cheeseburger. The hamburgers were juicy and cooked perfectly and the fries were crisp and hot. We are looking forward to trying the breakfasts soon. There is a real hole in Richarson when it comes to American healthy breakfasts (lunch and dinners) (no offense to all the Asian, Indian, Vietnamese and Mexican restaurants, but there are SO many in our small city) with these bright and cheerful settings, so this new restaurant is really a gem! We have had dinner. Excellent presentation and outstanding and delicious food. This is a wonderful surprise to the area. So very much better than the usual and ordinary. Full five stars. Perhaps a French Brasserie Traditionneele is the closest comparison. It's a bit more than a bistro, a little formal with linen napkins and tablecloths. A changing printed menu and marvelous selections. The breads and popovers are freshly baked in house. Salads are as crisp and delicious as if selection came from their privately grown vegetables. The servers are well experienced and one of the management staff is always present. Well worth a visit. read more

What can I say about this place? Since discovering it a few months ago, I have been here at least twice a week. The atmosphere is more of a café style, but the dining is more than that. It is always fresh and full of flavor. Believe me when I say I've tried almost everything on the menu, and have not been disappointed once. The staff is eager and happy to serve you. Food was great, service was great, the place was packed. It might seem crazy but it was horribly loud. Literally my daughter and I were covering our ears. Everybody was yelling over each other but I think it might be a simple fix to put carpet or a rug down. Maybe line the ceiling with carpet or spray foam.
