    Too Salty! Too many capers!
    Carmen H.

Not an enjoyable meal and service was meh. I asked the server to offer her favorite dishes on the menu and she only came up with one, I guess that should have been my first red flag. She suggested the Gilroy Chicken, which came with mash potatoes. Where I adore capers, this dish came with way too many, almost a 1/4 cup per the dish, which made it way too salty. The sauce was gloopy instead of silky, it only had 2 pieces of artichokes per the whole dish. The mash potatoes tasted instant and lacked flavor. If this had been my 1st visit...it would have been my last. I could have made a better dish at home. Meh!

    Crab cake Benedict

First time here this morning. Service was good. Food was okay. The turkey club barely had enough toppings on it $15. The crab cake Benedict is $18-$19 and a really good amount of food but you have to like really fishy tasting crab. The queso's flavor was really good but it was quite watery. A larger mimosa is going to cost you $12 a glass. I like all of the different juice options but not a place where I would spend that much on multiple drinks. That's would add up FAST. Prices here were just surprising high and I couldn't figure out why. We sat out on the patio because it was such a nice day. Despite the fly deterrent, those little buggers were determined to land on our food. The price you pay for sitting outside with food. We may or may not come back at some point to try other items.

Farmer's scramble and complimentary pop over

I've never had a pop over before and was super curious how it tastes, and compliments to us, our server gave all one to try. They're huge and flaky like an unstuffed oversized cream puff which we loved with the strawberry butter they gave alongside it. I loved my farmers scramble, it was super filling. Our server took a while to come to our table and didn't check on us often which didn't impress us, but the inside of this breakfast joint is cute and cozy. We enjoyed our stop here on our way to McKinney, for breakfast.

I used to go to the downtown location all the time but this is my first time at Richardson & it's just as good as I remembered. I even got the classic cloud pancakes & they are still so good. We sat on the patio & it was lovely. Service was smooth & fast, even on a weekend. Plenty of parking at this location.

Very cool place with a dreamy atmosphere. It would be a great place to have a small birthday brunch. There's a bar and plenty of food and drink options for anyone. The food comes in great portions and the service is extremely fast. The coffee I got was extremely sweet and not what I typically expect when getting a hazelnut latte, but it was still pretty good. Overall, a great experience.

We came at noon on Saturday and there was no wait. I would say this restaurant is pedestrian in all aspects. The decor is fine but unremarkable. My scrambler came at first with cold hash browns and eggs. They brought me a new plate that was warm; so good for them! The popover was the best thing. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The meal itself was fine but again, unremarkable. My husband had chicken and waffles, which was very flavorful, however the gravy had a heavy flour taste to it and the syrup was watered down to the point where there was foam on top. Unfortunately, this is not someplace we would return.

Great spot! I remember frequenting their uptown location in the quadrangle about a couple of decades ago (yes, I'm old). This spot is a bit further out but still has similar vibes. I stopped by for breakfast on a weekday with a friend. We had a great time and sat out on their patio. Great food and service. I ended up getting an omelette and it was quite tasty. The coffees and teas are also delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new go to brunch spot with nice outdoor seating.

40 years and 25 miles away from the original, the latest Dream Cafe waits. Go! In 1987 I heard about a great new place to have breakfast. In what is now known as uptown, a charming ring of boutique shops anchored an older but Gentrifying niche of Dallas. In the shade of downtown Dallas The Quadrangle was " the Place" to go back in the day. One reason was to eat at the unique Dream Cafe. Abundant portions of creatively delicious food in a relaxed environment, bottomless cups of gourmet coffee and what seemed like a football field sized lawn for the kids to play on. Jump to the new Richardson location for a try. It checks all the current boxes for a decent breakfast or brunch. A bonus is,they don't close at 2 pm as is common with the new crop of eateries. No,you can show up as late as 9 pm and enjoy wine, beer and a full bar with evening repast. A large, well designed and comfortable space awaits with plenty of smiling wait staff providing excellent service. A wide and varied menu I'm convinced, has something for everyone. My crab cakes Benedict was excellent and hit the late morning breakfast spot. My companion enjoyed the " Elvis"! An enormous biscuit holding, egg, sausage, white cheese all smothered in gravy with Bacon sprinkles. Lovely dish. I'll be back for both, lunch and dinner. What are you waiting for?

I have mentioned this before, I'm not a big breakfast person, so when I do go out to eat early in the morning it better be a good experience. And Dream Cafe was just that - it was really good. Their open space dinning room in warm colors of green and orange makes you feel right at home. The wait staff was everything you hoped for when eating breakfast. They were quick to seat you, the waiter was at our table within seconds getting our drinks, and our order was taken within a few minutes. The scrambled eggs were very tasty, and they had popovers for breakfast. Another great treat for my un-normal morning breakfast event. It was a great experience and I cannot wait to come back for more pop overs!

We stopped by for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised . We both got flavored lattes ( mine was half sweet ) . I got the crab cake Benedict and my friend got the wild child sandwich . Loved that lattes weren't too sweet at all . The Benedict was delicious just a little difficult to cut through and my friend loved her sandwich . They have indoor and outdoor seating . Service was good though it did take a bit for the food to come out . Would come back

I passed by this spot on a daily basis and I've always wanted to try it, but I never did it. This time I'm glad I did. This was a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice and nicely decorated. The server that waited on us was very nice and attentive and was very pleasant. Our food order was taken promptly and delivered to us promptly. The popovers were very good. They were warm, which was very good to go along with the meal and my omelette was very good. I enjoyed it! The pesto chicken salad was also good. Yes, I grabbed a little bit from my friend. Overall, this was a very good experience and I'll be back.

Overall solid place for brunch! Staff was friendly and service was quick, not too many people when we went in Monday morning. We got the sunset helps which had eggs on a tostada with beans, hashbrown, salsa, guac and sour cream. The flavor was good and I liked the runny yolk of the eggs but I wish the ratio of beans and hashbrown were more balanced. The cloud cakes were nice and fluffy. Overall would be back to try some other dishes, solid pricing and ambiance as well.

The hubby and I are first timers ! Nice, clean spot. Fresh food, quick service, When we walked in the hostess only gave us the dinner menu, which immediately allowed disappointment to set in. We decided to ask the waiter if brunch was over and he surprisingly stated "No Everything's available !" We ordered and everything came quick, hot & fresh. I'll definitely come back !

I got the Country Fried Steak and generally enjoyed it. Sausage gravy didn't really taste of sausage but was herby and flavorful. Eggs, hash browns cooked perfectly as requested. We ordered corned beef hash skillet with pancakes, south border skillet, biscuits gravy with eggs and pancakes. The corned beef hash skillet gets a high mark. The south border skillet was average. The biscuits gravy with eggs and pancakes were cold and it gets a low mark. If we decide to eat at Honey Berry in the future, it will be the Frankford Rd location.

You do get a variety of items, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, salami, feta, and so on so there are a lot of plates on small surfaces and that's before the tea arrives. Two standout issues: Tea arrived 20 minutes after the food. When you're eating a brunch built around shared plates and warm drinks, that timing really throws off the rhythm of the meal. Table space is a real problem. The sheer number of dishes that come with the brunch service is tough to accommodate. There are two large tables that can support this meal better but if the table is occupied prepared to be cramped, we've tried both of the other tables, a settee which was very uncomfortable and then opted for the circular tables but they were not level and had their own issues. The third could just be a bad day, but the person delivering food splashed olive juice all over the table and chairs and made no effort to clean it up until we asked. The olives will certainly be less messy in a bowl, but also it's courtesy if you make a spill you wipe it off for the customer. We ordered pizzas and fries for the kids, hoping for some reliable crowd-pleasers. Sadly, both were a miss on flavor and again took about 45 -60 minutes to arrive. We didn't try any of the sweet offerings ourselves, but we noticed plenty of other tables ordering desserts and coffees -- they clearly seemed popular. I hesitate to return with Kids given the long wait times. But this is a cute place for a dessert and a coffee/tea while enjoying some of the shopping in the same plaza. Recommend the owners check the phone number on Yelp, I called several times only to ring to a voicemail box that isn't set up.
